Every bike site has a thing for the dominar! And it is not a good thing! I don’t know what the poor domi did to all these sites 😂. That long wheelbase on a long winding road with the sun in the back and wind in your face, it is what I dream of when I’m stuck in choc a bloc traffic 😂. This bike gave to us amateur bikers what a katoom 390 couldn’t and that was a sense of sanity even at 150kmph+!!! But that was not enough. The domi helped a lot of us realise what no channel or reviewer couldn’t. It helped us realise what equipment we had, what we could we do with it, where it is lacking despite its many positives and how the non mechanical bits we as amateur bikers could change for the better and enjoy our rides even more. It didn’t sell in very many numbers because of nincompoops in an otherwise savvy Bajaj house but is it the bike’s fault? Looks like it is bearing all the bad blood for what it’s creators and marketers did and all the media houses choose to bully the domi. I think the domi is the Batman of this urban Gotham. We will always need a villain to enjoy - what could be… Well Pranam to the Indian Batman!!!
I personally don’t have anything against pretty much any bike or scooter or car for that matter, i’m here to review a product as objectively as possible and the Speed came out on top in pretty much every parameter - what i can’t account for is how you feel while you ride a motorcycle, and that feeling can change everything for you, which is why - get a bike you vibe with!

As a dominor 400 owner its hurts 🥴 but happy its unique & possible of seeing a domi 400 in road is less compared other bikes like duke , R15 , MT , RE 350s 😝 they r everwhere on road
What we need now is a comparison between speed 400 and duke 390 I know the price range for the two are different but it will be a good insight to have.
No one can beat Duke 390 just go for it, even I'm not a ktm fan I'm hater of ktm still suggesting to go Duke 390 bcoz that motorcycle is next level if you want hyper riding or aggressive riding
I wonder y people are obsessing over weather it’s the same engine as dominar or 390, what really matters is how the bike makes u feel, engine ergos, looks, everything is a part of the equation, who cares weather parts of the equation are copied or not, even if it’s same engine if it feels different, it’s different, Ride Interceptor and gt back to back to understand what a company can do with the same engine without messing with tuning or ecu mapping, by just changing the ergos… I believe people just want this to be the same engine, to be able to understand how Triumph and Bajaj managed to launch this bike at this price…. 😅 they mist have saved on something 😅😅
I bet truimph will be more refined...Coz Domi is too vibey if it's a Bs4 model...And if you install crash bars and any metal accessories...Then toh tank will buzz like hell..And Dominor suspension my god very uncomfortable..
I own dominar and that is perfect bike I guess it can thrill you on highways with speed 160+ and also it's perfect and bulky in looks but on the other hand triumph 400 looks like a small child in front of mighty domi the looks of the bike are also not upto mark as per me😅
@@swarsaagar11 How do you call a Dominar bulky? It's a normal sized bike for normal sized people. The additional weight is an advantage on the highway.
In India the Speed 400 will be priced at $2800, so how is Triumph going to explain to buyers in the US and England that the bike will cost them between $5,000 and $6,000?
Makes no sense I agree.. for that much you could have a ninja 400 or a R3 but when it comes to modern retro I don't think speed is gonna have any competition.. (RE continental 650 on a sale might be a better option still)

We will always need a villain to enjoy - what could be… Well Pranam to the Indian Batman!!!
So true... Bro
You mean against the Dominar? Not really. In this comparison video, the Speed feels a lot better.
@@powerdriftofficialnoted. I am sure you have given your honest View. I am not against the comparo, however my rant was more so because of all the flak The Domi keeps getting as if it were a permanent punching bag 😅
weight gives grate stability and confidence in D400 while going at 100+. and breaks are very reliable. you can drive 700km+ per day and not get your back killed. if one wants to drive D400 on city roads they have to question their decision making.
The Speed at high speeds does not feel unstable. It only feels vibey
This guy is great :)
Yeah! GGWP
thank you mohan!
Bro that black dominar is looking so agressive and big beside the speed 400 just like Venom beside Spiderman...And I think Venom is more badass then Spidy☠️🖤
You own a Dominar?
You guessed right 😆
@@anikethalder2536 buyer's remorse.
16k kms service interval, wondering if they are using engine oil found in Mars! Also the good old humour is gone 😪
No no. That's standard Triumph.
You go on a dominar 400 especially the green variant, people will look at you.
maybe 5-6 years ago. Now when a dominar goes by It's the same as seeing a Royal Enfield Bullet or Himalayan.
@@abykuruvilla bro are u kidding? Currently I have a green dominar in my town and people look at my bike. Because RE is everywhere and it's not great at looks. And himalayan also same. It's the dominar which looks nearly like Kawasaki green.
@@sandeepsunny5509
There are lots of dominars out here and I am not able to see what you're talking about. Maybe in your towh there aren't enough of them.
@@abykuruvilla you find RE in every uncle's hand, but u rarely find dominar on the road. Maybe you are living near Bajaj manufacturing plant. Coming to looks, Dominar dominates RE even in speed.
@@sandeepsunny5509
No I live in Bengaluru and Kochi, Kerala. I see at least 4-5 of them everyday. 3 of my colleagues have it too. Maybe you're living in an underdeveloped area where people fancy a mid end bajaj.
Triumph should launch speed 200 as well, looking same like speed 400... like duke series.
Ayy Balewadi Highstreet...Noice
🤣🙌🏻
MH12 represent!
Bajaj/Ktm/Triumph.. ultimately the real winner is BajajAuto 😎
Hhahahah W comment
hahahahha true
Old powerdrift editing Is gone....script writing is gone, direction is gone..watching like a movie is gone....using words good as quotes is gone...this is a normal review video. Nb: I'm watching pd from 1000 subs.
We do have a ton of special videos in the pipeline and we are sure those will get your smile back.
Just hope that Triumph brings in a Cafe Racer with this engine🤞🤞
Thruxton :D
hope so too!
Making a video in such a creative and funny way nice one PD❤
That's Karan but we will make Varun read this comment :D
Ohh yess miss Varun sir too ❤🎉
thank you ❤️🙌🏻
Like Dominar 400, Speed 400 will also suffer from low sales figure in times to come, due to low mileage, lesser no of sales and service points
I’d say the low number of sales and service points is going to be a tricky hurdle for Triumph - let’s see if they can ramp up quickly enough
Time travel is not real
Bro if your triumph is spiderman then our dominar is a batman❤
Looks like you are a Dominar owner
@@powerdriftofficial yes dear
haha alright but it’s not mine and yours, they’re ours to enjoy!
PURPOSE of these 2 bikes is different…😂
No one is going to look at speed 400 and think that they will be comfortable in it for a long ride from Bangalore/chennai to sikkim….
And No dominar owner ever bought it thinking it will be a “fun city bike”🤣🤣
Absolutely but a primary bike for most is riding in the city first, everything else comes later
Bro we are happy with 90s legendary songs as dominar, we don't want MAI NAI TO KOUN BE😂😂😂😂chapri wrap up
We clearly did not get this comment.
😵💫
I am waiting for this comparison

Bajaj is killing its own product domi 400 😅 not giving GEN upgrade & by launching this triump 400 . Already domi 400 sales less now it even sell less due to this triump 😂. As a dominor 400 owner its hurts 🥴 but happy its unique & possible of seeing a domi 400 in road is less compared other bikes like duke , R15 , MT , RE 350s 😝 they r everwhere on road
That is what is called priceless..look on the brighter side....Less is good😉
Not really but pricing it so close can cannibalise sales
Maybe we’ll see an all new Domi too?
What we need now is a comparison between speed 400 and duke 390 I know the price range for the two are different but it will be a good insight to have.
No one can beat Duke 390 just go for it, even I'm not a ktm fan I'm hater of ktm still suggesting to go Duke 390 bcoz that motorcycle is next level if you want hyper riding or aggressive riding
Be careful what you wish for :)
soon
Which has better headlight illumination at night?
Dominar
Dominar sounds better in my case
To all those naysayers (possibly RE fanboys) who comment that “Speed is a Dominar under a different skin”
Same engine for sure. No way they would sell a Triumph at that price.
@@NikhilKumarM So, the points which’re mentioned in this video (and many other videos) which prove that it’s a different engine are bogus ?
Yes. Its a brand new engine.
KTM ko beech me na ghusane ke liye dhanyavad 🙏
haha kyu?
Wo baad mein
Triumph is best 💥
only powerdrift would be confused between two totally different bike.
A lot of people are. Exactly why we did it.
Bingo Palash, well said.
Facts!
I own the old costume one, but I like the new dress better
google translate ?
I bet truimph will be more refined...Coz Domi is too vibey if it's a Bs4 model...And if you install crash bars and any metal accessories...Then toh tank will buzz like hell..And Dominor suspension my god very uncomfortable..
It is definitely more refined.
Hahaaa i loved the scene from INTERVIEW❤️, same same😂
❤😂
But different different
Clears my doubt
I own dominar and that is perfect bike I guess it can thrill you on highways with speed 160+ and also it's perfect and bulky in looks but on the other hand triumph 400 looks like a small child in front of mighty domi the looks of the bike are also not upto mark as per me😅
Lol Dominar looks cheap, one would definitely ignore it when both bikes are placed side by side 😂 Triumph looks premium and classy!
@@chintu306ify Triumph may look flashy but it does look small. Even Trident looks like a small bike
Small bikes look nice than bulky dragon size bikes
It's ok bro. I can understand the regret when you see a much better bike being launched at the same price range as your own bike.
@@swarsaagar11 How do you call a Dominar bulky? It's a normal sized bike for normal sized people. The additional weight is an advantage on the highway.
Must've done a Mileage test too....
Does Dominar-400 come with Traction control?
No
@@AayushPratapSingh-sz7sg Thank you so much.
For triumph owners good news if you need to buy a spark plug ? You can buy a cheaper version with exact quality . Now you know where to buy?
In India the Speed 400 will be priced at $2800, so how is Triumph going to explain to buyers in the US and England that the bike will cost them between $5,000 and $6,000?
The same way RE did with the himalayan.
@@YogiGunnerdid ford manufacture the mustang here ? Or a CBU or CKD import?
Makes no sense I agree.. for that much you could have a ninja 400 or a R3 but when it comes to modern retro I don't think speed is gonna have any competition.. (RE continental 650 on a sale might be a better option still)
Dominar looking better ❤
Now the question is who'll buy that 2000km ridden bike 💀
it’ll go back to bajaj for R&D
That goes back to RND
Why would anyone buy a Dominar now? Hard to imagine
If someone vibes with it!
Literally it's useless now lmao
@@carswithkaran I don't think anyone would care abt seeing Triumph
Looks
Its an old platform for sure but it still has its own appeal.
