Just got a new 2024 Africa Twin and I have a Cardo headset. I’m curious with the order of operation to get everything working properly for example does my Bluetooth or Wi-Fi have to be on my phone and then what order do I connect everything with? For example, do I plug in the CarPlay cable first then turn on the headset or vice versa
I connected my iPhone , but I can’t see the my apps on the Africa twin screen. I try to connect my AirPods with the Africa twin , but they didn’t connect. Don’t know why….
I bought a mount with a lightning to USB cable and it simply does not work on a brand new Honda Africa Twin. I'll try it with an Apple cable but those aren't coiled so they'll get in the way, and the white cable looks bad on a black bike :(
Hi Jie, please refer to your Owner's Manual for setup instructions. You do need a BlueTooth headset to connect with the head unit and a OEM cord or BlueTooth connection from the phone to the bike.
You must use a Bluetooth capable headset or ear buds to engage Car Play or Android Auto on the Africa Twin. Please refer to your owner's manual for more details and set up instructions.
It works fine but you fail to mention you need the “100ft” Apple cable for this to work. The one the 12max comes with doesn’t work.

I started using this and it works great.
Glad to hear that!
can the system work WITHOUT the usb of the motorcycle being connected to the phone? after the initial installation.
I have the same question. Were you able to find out if you can use CarPlay without connecting the phone every time ? Thx
Hi Randy, the phone must be connected via the cable connection on console and headset must be used to activate the feature as well.
Is there a way to pair the phone using car play WITHOUT having headphones ?

@@HondaPowersports-OutdoorCanada that is not true - I am using it all the time without a BT headset
One big problem. What about Deaf or Hard of Hearing people they can’t hearing on headsets.. why they can’t have set up their phones without headset.
