"The only person being in control of me is me." Thank you, Anna, for these words and for sharing your story about growing up in a controlling family! I feel supported. I too grew up in a similar family with a helicopter mum. However, thankfully, I had the freedom to decide a few big things for myself, like what I wanted to study, my career path, etc. But I did not have an identity of my own until I turned 18 and started claiming privacy- my family had never "allowed" me any. I am 23 now. Gradually I have been able to find myself and have a good idea of who I am, what I want, and how to get there.
You got lucky I had the opposite. I couldn’t control the big things like career , when I wanted a boyfriend…if I wanted to get serious with a boy…it was all taken away from me…only after my life was ruined I realised what had happened and how a certain family meme her loved controlling me… She was having a ball doing it…it made her feel powerful to see how she could manipulate me… but she ruined my life…I hate her guts for it…and I can’t get over it becuase I can’t believe that evil won in the end….it’s a disgraceful outcome…why did the bad person win ??? I’m just not over it, and it’s been 3o years….
I love having lunch by myself sometimes, it’s calm and allows me to think about whatever is happening in my life, it’s also nice to soak in a beautiful atmosphere without feeling like I need to keep up with conversation. Obviously, going out with someone special or a few someones special is a delight. Girlfriend and daughter lunches are the best.

As someone who had social anxiety so bad sometimes the thought of going to school or work made me so uneasy, I totally identify with this video! It takes years of self growth and one thing I did this year was finally start my TH-cam channel! At first the few dislikes really got to me, it I’m just embracing the whole process :)
This video was amazing, as usual, i need to work on the part of "accepting that not everyone will like me", somehow is still gets me sometimes. Thank you Anna, I love this new video series, more focused on self confidence ❤
I'm glad following Anna since I was 19 and now I'm 21. I hope I can grow up as elegant lady like Anna and my mama will be proud of me because I'm not girls who follow Jenner and Kardashian since they are too vulgar for my culture, or maybe other cultures too? Idk but my family is traditional and I'm blessed not influenced by vulgar trend. Thank you Anna, you're my role model after my mama and grandma💖
I’ve seen too many motivational videos on TH-cam but coming from Anna Bey doing all the things she is doing, that definitely sets her apart. She definitely knows what she’s talking about and she walks her talk. Bravo Anna ❤️
Anna is an angel! She says things from her heart and tries to restore for all the ladies, the femininity and elegance that has been lost through the years. Set your standards high women, don't act desperate when you find a man. First and foremost, is your self. It is called self love and self respect.
Great video Anna! Your hair looks beautiful! I wish as a younger woman I had known that if we are at peace with our choices or who we are we never ask for the validation of others. I made a career change into law at 28 in 2020 and never looked back or asked for other people's approval, because I knew I was and will continue walking in my own light. Insecurities need to be worked on in therapy, I cannot advocate for this enough ladies!
Well said and explained. I can support this, myself being totally independent, lived in several countries, know 6 languages, very well red, always in leader position. This is a reason I can give an honest "YES" to Anna. She deserves her praise due to helping many who need such a help... here done in not just as a school class but in a way of information, education, sharing personal life experiences and after all...entertainment. Thank you, Anna!
This video is so helpful on many levels. Thank you for helping normalize therapy. Seeking help doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. If anything, there is more right with you!
This is so valuable and true ! There is so many people who negatively projecting their own insecurities and then there is who we actually are. Also, our pasts is not our present and while some people may have said you were trashy before , it doesn't matter now because you have changed and we are now better than what we were before and many of us do not want to go back.
Ana....you hit it right on the nail. When you don't care about being disliked...or "hate"...you claimed your power...and people recognized that. Actually people respect that you don't care
What truly helped me shift my perception on 'what other people think of me and whether they like me' is by thinking that I myself don't like everyone. Why should I expect everyone else to like me?
Anna I respect you because not every woman can come up on camera, talk and express herself, say what she thinks and feels. That something to be admired from you. May God bless you and continue to give you that wonderful wisdom, bravery and courage that you carry.
Thank you! I needed to watch this! I have to deal with the negative energy each day at work, and it is beyond nerve wrecking! It sucks because I am so observant, and I catch just about everything even when I do not. My spirit is so in tuned to the environment, consciously and subconsciously. I am truly seeking better ways to block the negativity of others without having to display disgust and extreme distance. Thank you and please keep up the great contributions!
Thank you soo much for this video. I set the intention that this year is the year I take back my power from others. I’m 32 a single mum, now divorced. My family have always been negative unfortunately. I used to be such a different person maybe 8 years ago...extremely motivated, I achieved everything I put my mind to. After years of people chipping away at my confidence or telling me I’m to much of a perfectionist..to fussy..shouldn’t waste my time on some of my goals. I’ve reached my boiling point. I want to be the old me that believed truly I can do ANYTHING I set my mind to. Sometimes those closer to us are the most toxic. I now do meditations, practice gratitude everyday..woke up this morning at 5am to go to the gym. Reading and watching you, Tony Robbins, Joe Dispenza and stopped completely watching TV. I can feel i am more determined and started dreaming again and believing and taking action towards my dreams. I think we really need to be careful of others because I let others walk all over me for far to long.
Ana, if your are ever bothered about what people think of you negative, you should forget about it. I come across some negative comments about you on TH-cam, I just skip it. I fell I know you, we are similar in a way. I come a long way to be free myself, and my authentic self, without therapy, because I didn’t prioritise it back in time when I need it the most. You are doing great, and you achieve so much! It’s not many people that I admire, but if that means something, I admire you.
Dear Anna you have become the beautiful elegant discreet and classy woman of your dreams. On top of that you have attracted the man of your dreams. I think you found your calling because speaking to your students and YT viewers constantly cannot be easy and clearly you have a passion for your pursuit of elegance in all aspects of your life which you pass on. Your conduct on YT is exemplary of graciousness and good taste. We are so lucky to be able to refer to your channel for pleasure relaxation entertainment and learning. Thank you
When you observe human behaviour and you see that people are just doing the best they can, you become more understanding of the fact that people will pass their own judgement. Its subjective and all a matter of perspective. Passing judgement/observing It's a part of human nature. When you spend time self reflecting and you are honest with yourself, aware of what your strengths and weaknesses are, you wont take other peoples perspective as solid validation of who you are since you should know yourself better then anyone else. Amazing advice once again, Anna!! x
Life can also be the best coach. I’ve always been a people pleaser and when I was a music teacher, I felt like I didn’t have enough leverage to really take charge of my winter concert (to an extent I actually didn’t, I was in a toxic workplace), so I tried to acquiesce to a variety of concerns. When the day came, parent, teachers, staff, and others were still complaining despite my best efforts to be accommodating. I realized then that the best thing I could do was do what I thought was best. Sticking to my guns, trusting my instincts and training, and making decisions based on my own education would be best; not because people wouldn’t judge me, but because it was MY best and a reflection of MY work and inspiration. As long as I’m doing me, nothing else really matters.
Elegance is like self-esteem, it's you, because you feel it. You cannot learn both; you can only learn to feel it ... if you don't feel it, you are neither.
It is so important to realise we are born into a pre-constructed world. We view this world and then try to find our identity in it. If given the freedom, we can alter the world to suit ourselves. Imagine that every single person is trying to find their identity in this world and are changing it to suit themselves. That is why there is so much friction because we have the freedom to change our worlds. It is actually a blessing because it means the society we live in is free to adapt. Thus, you just accept that everyone is going through their journey and you move forward. 💖
It's an interesting fine line you are walking. On one hand it's level up, be the best you can be at the same time accept your self for who you are, right now, in this moment, today.

Thank you so much for this video Anna❤❤ As women we have always been wired to think and care about opinions of others before looking into ourselves and in so many societies people use this as a tool deliberately to control and subdue women, so that women think about others before caring for themselves. Even today, after 2 years has passed, so many people around me keep me judging (especially woman) and I was so upset for this.
You got lucky
I had the opposite.
I couldn’t control the big things like career , when I wanted a boyfriend…if I wanted to get serious with a boy…it was all taken away from me…only after my life was ruined I realised what had happened and how a certain family meme her loved controlling me…
She was having a ball doing it…it made her feel powerful to see how she could manipulate me… but she ruined my life…I hate her guts for it…and I can’t get over it becuase I can’t believe that evil won in the end….it’s a disgraceful outcome…why did the bad person win ???
I’m just not over it, and it’s been 3o years….
I love having lunch by myself sometimes, it’s calm and allows me to think about whatever is happening in my life, it’s also nice to soak in a beautiful atmosphere without feeling like I need to keep up with conversation. Obviously, going out with someone special or a few someones special is a delight. Girlfriend and daughter lunches are the best.
One of my favorite quotes.
"I have already settled it for myself so flattery and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free." Georgia O’Keefe
I love Georgia O’Keefe! She was a great artist.

I didn’t think this would actually help me when I saw the headline but this is a must watch for anybody of any age or whatever their situation. You are one smart woman. Thank you.
I am open to constructive comments from the people I care for, it often allowed me to think and grow. Otherwise, I could not care less about what people think about me. I can go out by myself, I can travel solo and I meet interesting human beings! I know my worth, I know I’m a caring woman, time is a precious resource and I will not waste it wondering what others think of me 😁
Absolutely! You can always find gem of information if you seek it out not for validation but for constructive reasons. I believe in that too!
This sounds like Jack (from Titanic/ Leonardo DiCaprio) dinner speech
Trust me.. No one is laughing at you. Smart, positive and gorgeous girl that has done a wonderful job with her life and has validated herself and others with her work! I think you’re amazing 💕🥂💕
Just so grateful and blessed to have found her channel at the age of just 17. Thank you, Anna❤️ lots of love xx
Yeah, the same, darling!
I think it is great to get self-development on yourself from the early age🥰
That's wonderful that you're using the Internet for inspiration & advice, instead of wasting time on meaningless content at your age!

@@AnnaBeyOfficial i am trying to work on my shadows as well. I am a young successful woman. But jealousy and what people think of me makes me feel always inferior. I know i can go higher but i am afrais and lack confidence
i really care of what people think, but growing up i realized i just want opinions from very closed friends or experts of the subject. that's it. we can't fill everyone's expectation. i totally agree with you Anna. and I totally agree about the things to do alone. I learned to travel alone, go around foreign cities alone, have lunch alone and so on, and i really appreciate it because it's the best way to know new people and you always learn from other people, bad or good, doesn't matter. it is something to do absolutely!
I love your program, your teaching, women and young ladies, how to be ladies, and to expect to be respected, our society has forgotten the importance of respect and honor, and you’re bringing that up to the surface and I thank you.
This video reminded me about a wonderful book titled "The Courage to Be Disliked". Truly liberating! 🦋 Btw. thank you for mentioning your therapy, Anna. It was a life-changing decision for me too.
I needed this video, I'm so lazy lately, I stay in my bed all day long, I'm skipping my classes... I don't feel creative at all, I don't even know how to choose my outfits anymore... Thank you for existence Anna ❤🌌🥀

Your vulnerability here is very much appreciated 💕 It's never too late to start rewiring our patterns
I got this advice from a youtuber he advised me to move in silence and keep my success to myself . Because there are many people out there who are jealous of your qualities
You should do a video on “the Classy way to handle being ghosted” - love your content! ❤️
Ghost them and move one with your life...
Act as if nothing happened. If the ghost comes back act as if he doesn't exist. Some things don't deserve being discussed.
There's a quote from Buddha... Says something like, once you realise you have been avoided by someone, never bother them again
Ghost should always remain with the dead!
Recently going through this and let me tell you.. Why would you want a person who doesn't want you or that chooses to want someone else over you? You don't need them. Your worth is way greater, plus ghosts are non existent, treat them as such. Focus on yourself and your life and goals and spend your energy in fighting for what you want and that's it. When you love yourself you exude confidence and self love and nothing can phase you really.
I’ve been watching your videos for a couple weeks now. So much help. This video is the one that hit home. Familiar up bringing a. Still repairing after 57 years ❤️❤️❤️

I have zero respect for Kardashians , Jenner I fine I guess, but I don't wanna follow them
I’ve seen too many motivational videos on TH-cam but coming from Anna Bey doing all the things she is doing, that definitely sets her apart. She definitely knows what she’s talking about and she walks her talk. Bravo Anna ❤️
Thank you for advocating psychological therapy. This is very important right now when anxiety and depression levels are increasing.
Iam just 20 and lam so happy l watched your videos sooner
This is the big push I needed. My gosh your channel has also grown so much, you did not care what people thought and kept making videos, love it.
We love you. All of you. Just as you are.
Thank you for this friendly reminder.
(Air hug)
I had to watch this video three times, thank you for this important message. Much love from Mexico 🤗💕
Anna, I just wanna say that you're so generous. Some serious wisdom was dropped in this video!
I don't remember who said this, but it's a great quote. " What other people think about you is none of your business."
I love you Anna. I am a social worker by profession and this video speaks volumes. Mental wellbeing top notch.
I really love how you delivered this message
Ana, if your are ever bothered about what people think of you negative, you should forget about it. I come across some negative comments about you on TH-cam, I just skip it. I fell I know you, we are similar in a way. I come a long way to be free myself, and my authentic self, without therapy, because I didn’t prioritise it back in time when I need it the most. You are doing great, and you achieve so much! It’s not many people that I admire, but if that means something, I admire you.
I really need to work on my anxiety. Thank you, Anna ❤️
Dear Anna you have become the beautiful elegant discreet and classy woman of your dreams. On top of that you have attracted the man of your dreams. Great video. I never care what others think of me. its a waste time to think about what others think. Younger folks will learn this eventually.
You are SO right. That`s the point to live your own life.
You gave us this video at the most perfect time! I recently have lost a friend with no explanation, and this has helped me to let it go. ❤️
Amazing advice once again, Anna!! x
I really needed this right now. Thank you, Miss Anna. Love from Philippines💓
So real, knowledgeable, brave, generous, powerful, inspiring, elegant, hard working, classy, self aware, bad ass!! Keep sharing and inspiring Anna!
Might as well (do oneself) because there will always be someone else dissatisfied regardless.
We have the great privilege of watching Anna's authentic, solipsistic journey into wisdom, hopefully.
This is probably the BEST video I've seen on TH-cam about self esteem! Thank you Anna!! x

Thank you so much for this video Anna❤❤ As women we have always been wired to think and care about opinions of others before looking into ourselves and in so many societies people use this as a tool deliberately to control and subdue women, so that women think about others before caring for themselves.
Thank you so much Anna for once again showing it to us all that it's okay for us women to care about ourselves, our needs and wants and to be Confident in our own selves. ❤❤❤
