I would personally hold with crafting Faeries, till meta stabilizes - it has some Dimir Rogues vibes, but it can have hard time vs tier 1 aggro - at least that's how it felt. I didn't play deck very well, so it might just be matter of practice though, so it can also emerge as top deck of the meta:) Control tools (next video), felt extremely useful and powerful though - so I'm hopeful for new meta!
Faeries work but make it a aggro tempo. Spell stutter is great and obyra is great as well but imo, needs removal to stabilize the board. I used faeries in historic and the only addition was ritual of soot and I did well.
I would guess they continue supporting them in next sets, would make sense with standard rotation strategy they described - but that's my blind guess :) But yeah, best to wait and see how meta settles

Hard to predict whole meta ecosystem. Time will tell, but I get what you mean :) Wouldn't call it powerless though ;)
like number 200 belongs to me, a pleasure ! I like that faeries a lot. I will wait a bit for meta to be more stable before I invest my WCs, maybe a better faeries squad will appear.
Yep, I think that's the reasonable approach, I wouldn't really craft anything if I was short on wildcards, for like first 1-2 weeks (outside of what I got in boosters). Hard to test decks too, as people are experimenting with new builds (except mono red)

Be careful of cut downs, but we definitely defend very nicely against sweepers with this deck. I think even more counterspells could be added to this shell
I wasn't playing very well - this deck is actually pretty tricky to play right - and those were mostly my first games with it, thinking if I can edit it in time for you guys to see today :) So yeah, definitely didn't play deck optimally overall

At around 15:30 it's better to not counter and just discard the counterspell instead, no? You lose 1 card all the same, but like that you don't tap yourself out.

a lot of these new cards sound really strong in theory and then have been surprisingly weak in practice imo

Check out Winged Portent from Crimson Vow. I tried 3 in the faeries deck and it worked very well.
