What a nice showcase of a good orzhov deck! Thx!! A little analysis again: Your Turn starts at 18:34. I think you could have had leathal given some circumstances we can never know for sure cause we will lack the knowledge of one card. But here we go: If you would have +1 Ashiok before Emperor -1, you would have seen that with your cutdown you could acutally have leathal on board by +1 with emperor your human token. He can block one, but with fortress lifedrain + one token at 4 power = 9 damage. At the end of your endstep he played Decadent Dragon. So the tricky part here is to assume which card he drew. He then cycled Proving Ground and then played a Herd Migration (which he possible just drew from the cycling). Long story short, i think if you force leathal and he doenst have herd migration at this point you win the game. If he has herd migration, he has to cycle it to prevent dying and so he is at 3 health. So given the cards we know, he had played the Dragon Adventure and the cycle from proving ground and then leyline binding. So you can freely cast Kaya and +2 and win the game by that point, cause he either needs to answer kaya with the last unknown card (which i think only any counter does and he has not played one so far) but then he loses to your board with his 3 lifetotal. And even if he plays all his dragons to block and somehow has a counter for Kaya, you can just sunfall the turn after or the other way around and go lethal with fortress. Anyways ggs, very nice played! I really enjoy your gameplay!
I'm new to magic and came across this video. I built this deck in different variations and have done nothing but kick ass in ranked. Appreciate the video
I remember that deck fondly, have to remake it at some point :D Man of great taste! Hf, I tried to be very competitive with this one - so I hope it will hold :)
Have a deck just like this except I am using battles to make a board presence. Goal is to get broken sky or deluge of the dead ans swarm with value and all the walkers. Great video
Not sure, maybe Jace, hits library so Ashiok has easier time, soaks damage, is cheaper so you can use him faster, eating planeswalker removal :) Hope it helps!
Hi Sloth! Wanted to ask is stroke of midnight really better than good old fateful abcence? I dont have many wildcard and i wonder if I should spend them. Whats your experience anyway?
I'm guessing since you have a bunch of tokens (wedding announcement, ashiok, wandering emperor) and can pump them (WA, virtue), a 1/1 isn't going to do much against you - meanwhile, against control, you really don't want to give them the card.
You could also go with Rite of Oblivion or Legions to Ashes which I both would prefer over Stroke in this style of Orzhov deck. Being able to play it as an instant is not too important here than it would be in other control decks, especially when you have to keep mana for counters or other stuff open.
Hey man, sorry for late asnwer - hard to keep up :) Not sure, I kinda absolutely hate giving my op cards, especially if I use non-blue deck, but at the same time this 1 extra mana and tempo - feels risky. Tbh, I kinda liked stroke of midnight so far, it saved my skin a lot of times, and token wasn't really impactful - but I feel I might just got a bit lucky. If mono red is on play, this 3 mana removal leaving 1/1 can be death sentence. Dunno, so far I like it but not sure how competitive it really is. Much better for control matchups, as they lose extra card, probably worse vs aggro decks overall
might just be a bit hindsight but I feel you can just drop kaya on that atraxa player, they usually don't have counters and they can't target her with spells as well
Nah, celestus helps to hit planeswalkers, ramps and stabilizes. For invasion, we don't even really need to protect our creatures imho. Gobakhan is nice to have, but it feels it doesn't really go with the deck (and taxing won't matter too much, as we go to lategame-exhaustion strategy anyway)
@@SlothMtg True true, also, very well explained. I noticed you really go for those big brain strategies usually, sometimes I don't understand what is the deck supposed to even do before I watch a few games xD
I'm so antsy to craft some of these new cards but I want to wait just a bit longer to see what form of control is going to perform the best. I'm a sucker for Azorius so Ive been eyeing those whales..
Best to hold - it seems aggro is coming back in more and more numbers, and we will see soon if meta stays with new cards. I personally love the whale, and will build more decks with it soon, but best not to rush with wildcards - and it's also hard to test decks now overall
What a nice showcase of a good orzhov deck! Thx!!

Highlight of the day, coming home from work and finding a new Sloth video. Love your decks and content man, thank you!
Absolutely lovely to hear man - really fun to read such comment:) Thanks and hope you will keep enjoying them!:)

That's one of best type of stories any Content Creator can read in comment section - thanks for sharing Bro and congratz!:)❤🦥
_chefs kiss_ this and the last orzhov decks are just awesome (i was sleeping hard on the staff + Ashiok combo)
I've been playing your archangel orzhov deck anti aggro from 2 months ago for a while now. Glad i can play a new version of it!
I remember that deck fondly, have to remake it at some point :D Man of great taste! Hf, I tried to be very competitive with this one - so I hope it will hold :)
Sloth my friend! I have something exciting for you. A friend of mine came up with a very interesting Bant control/combo
Deck
4 Elspeth's Smite (MOM) 13
1 Mirrex (ONE) 254
2 Fateful Absence (MID) 18
2 Soul Partition (BRO) 26
4 Sunset Revelry (MID) 38
2 Make Disappear (SNC) 49
4 Three Blind Mice (WOE) 35
4 Wedding Announcement (VOW) 45
2 Depopulate (SNC) 10
3 The Wandering Emperor (NEO) 42
2 Jace, the Perfected Mind (ONE) 57
2 Sunfall (MOM) 40
3 Tamiyo, Compleated Sage (NEO) 238
1 Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire (NEO) 268
1 Otawara, Soaring City (NEO) 271
1 Boseiju, Who Endures (NEO) 266
4 Adarkar Wastes (DMU) 243
4 Deserted Beach (MID) 260
4 Brushland (BRO) 259
3 Overgrown Farmland (MID) 265
2 Dreamroot Cascade (VOW) 262
1 Restless Vinestalk (WOE) 261
4 Spara's Headquarters (SNC) 257
It uses Tamiyo minus to make a token copy of 3 blind mice for a ridiculous loop. I had a crazy game with 20 copies running at the same time
I’ve been playing Naya Tokens with Pia and Virtue of Loyalty and holy good god baby Jesus it’s good.
Sounds good - those dual cards are wild (love the black one)

I like your approach a lot - always huge fan of battles:) Appreciate it, glad you liked it! :)
Ohh yeaaah, Orzhov
Wanted to make a budget deck.. I guess😂
10k is already absolutely amazing, but we ain't stopping there!🔥❤🦥
Another Orzhov, ulala ❤ combination of current Planeswalker are insane now, they draw, they destroy, scale up, Everything!
Have a great Bro
u2 man :)
What blue white planeswalkers synergize?
Not sure, maybe Jace, hits library so Ashiok has easier time, soaks damage, is cheaper so you can use him faster, eating planeswalker removal :)
Hope it helps!

I would test ossification / shoeldreds edict I think they should be better performers

I understand the need to include extra plains for the Farmhand, but why so many swamps in place of pain and slow lands?
do you have an active twitch account?
Nope, sry
kaya is a master piece or I can change for another powerfull card? and if it s possible what are the options?
Kaya is highest endgame for the deck - I would keep her. She's 1 tier stronger about other planeswalkers, overall, your final game-winning play :)
In the first gamw it would've been so cool if you took the farewell instead of kaya. You could've cast farewell exile everything and ult ashiok
True, that a pretty powerful play indeed :)
dziękuję za ciekawe gry
Dzięki za oglądanie i comment!:)
Waits for my new friends and watches Sloth :)
THE LEGEND!!!🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy my friend:)
🎉🎉🎉 Sloth
❤🔥🔥
The true power or orzhov yesssss
might just be a bit hindsight but I feel you can just drop kaya on that atraxa player, they usually don't have counters and they can't target her with spells as well
Kaya has got me through so many Atraxa matchups!
fair point, maybe I need to be more aggressive against them :)
Maybe 1 Invasion of Gobakhan instead of 1 Celestus, what do you think boss ?
Nah, celestus helps to hit planeswalkers, ramps and stabilizes. For invasion, we don't even really need to protect our creatures imho. Gobakhan is nice to have, but it feels it doesn't really go with the deck (and taxing won't matter too much, as we go to lategame-exhaustion strategy anyway)

400 to 10k, hurry up guys.

Seconded. Sadly I dont think any of the new cards really shifted the colour meta at all

Sunfall is brutal card sometimes lol
True that
everyone : So weird to see Ashiok not being dimir
sloth : he is clearly Orzhov duh
Write winrate for each deck pls. Somewhere.
Kaya? Concede
The only true MVP play😂
First Match: Oppo has terribile deck. I don't understand it at all
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Always enjoyable game play! 🦥 :)
