man, i really wish this wasn't a cineprint tutorial. I loved the way the video began, and I wanted to stick around for the whole thing, but now I think if I'm not purchasing this colourgrade, I won't really get much out of the video. Please make a tutorial for DaVinci itself, I'd LOVE to see it.
Okay wow. This was an amazing tutorial. I can not believe how much I just learned from you in 13 minutes. I've been using Davinci for about 6 months now, and out of all the videos I have watched on the color part of it, none have taught me the node structure in a way I understood it. THANK YOU for making this!
Love this style. New to Davinci and this has helped so much. Also love the aspect ratio, feels like everything is easier to focus on whilst giving it a unique aesthetic to tutorials.
used this on my cover of charlieonafriday on my page if anyone wants to see how it looks!! I love the way it turned out but fair warning gotta make sure you have the dynamic range when shooting to use this plug-in
Gosh, this tutorial is by far the most comprehensive yet in trying to really understand how it works. Love it. As a matter of suggestion, maybe you can make this into a series and work on different kinds of clips? e.g low light videos such as at night, different temperature/vibes etc? nevertheless keep it up mate!
Hey, I am very interested in Parallel Nodes so as in other nodes, as this is the best video tutorial I have ever watched! Thank you very much, I am grateful beyond words...
Possibly my favourite tutorial video. really.. I've watched a ton of film editing videos and this is by far the most enjoyable and I like how you didn't glaze over something which may be obvious to seasoned editors (ie the nodes working as layers etc). Subscribed from this one video. Keep it up bro
Also CinePrint16 looks like a great recommendation! Look forward to watching your other videos and following you on your journey as I go down a similar path
Thank you for this!! Coming from someone who also does film as a hobby, I really appreciated that you covered just the basics and gave a simplified (but still comprehensive) explanation. I was getting so overwhelmed watching other tutorials but you made it really simple and easy to understand. Great work!
Love the video! It's so informative compared to the other ones out there! One quick question, is it necessary to colour correct the log footage first with a conversion lut before applying the cineprint 16 for colour grading?
Would have enjoyed seeing the end result - the footage - (found it eventually on your ig) . Thanks for the share, heading to the alps, you gave me some inspiration and knowledge :)
Another way (better?) to organize is to use pre and post clip groups. There is good instruction on how to do this in Tom’s V2 manual. People don’t use groups enough!
the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. But the one thing that i didn’t understand about davinci resolve why the nodes before the CST node become desaturated?
Hey Daiki! I have slog 3 footage that I usually for inputs put sony gamut 3 cine and s log 3 and outputs rec 709. Was curious what I put for the inputs in cineprint?
Hello, thanks for your video. I'm just wondering when installing Cine Print into Davinci what file I choose, if my camera the DJI Cosmo Pocket 3 shoots in DLog-M. There are options for other cameras like Fuji F-Log 2, Canon Log 2 and Sony S Log, Panasonic V-Log, Arri Alexa Log, BlackMagic etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂
It is very thorough for someone who is doing this as a hobby. You should watch out your subtitles @7:27, i am pretty sure that is a mispelled word :') Keep on, great content
This is awesome! do you mind maybe helping me add this template to my Davinci Resolve? I just bought it but don't know how to install it to my davinci? any recommendations?
Hi Daiki, Thanks for making this video! At 5:05 you're clicking on the "Effects" tab, and after that on the "Settings" tab. When I do these steps the word "Settings" is grayed out and I can't click it. Do you know how to fix this? Maybe it has do do with the fact that I do not own the DR Studio version. What do you think? Kind regards, Thomas
Hey great video, I’m new to colour grading. Will this work with the free version of Davinci or will some features of it be limited? Do you also recommend me to learn how to build my own grades from nodes or just to use a template as you shown in this video?
This video was so helpful, thank you! Do you have the free version of Davinci? I have the free version, most recent update & when I apply Cineprint 16 it automatically adds the "Davinci Resolve Studio" watermark over the clip without any other effects...wondering if it only works on the paid version if you have any insight that would be amazing!
Have you ever encounter where there’s black and white on the highlights. I can turn on my halation cuz there’s white and black park on some on my highlights any idea what to do with it?
How come when i import the cineprint into DaVinci resolve it won’t show up in the lut tab? I already made sure to put the cineprint into davincis lut file folder
I’m new to cineprint16. I have a question with regards to CST. Can I actually put on a conversion lut rather than change out the CST? And also if I’m using a PP8 on my Sony a7rv what should my settings be on CST?
Hey man, i have been using this tool for a while. Tho I have a problem 😅when my footage is in the timeline it looks great, when I output it, even in pro res the colors seems deemed down. I tried also with Rec 709a as I use MacBook but no luck, any idea ?
You can select all your clips, then put them into a group. Click clip at the top right, select group, now you can do a pre or post group adjustment. It will adjust across all of your clips, no need to do it individually. Can also name the groups (I do for different cameras in same timeline), then select only that group to work with.
Can you do an example of grading similar to Wes Andersons new Asteroid city movie. WIth the low contrast and pastels? Also great tutorial, very good pace and you explain thoroughly.
Hi! Man, I have this issue I don’t how to upload my old still (color correction) to my new da Vinci account. And also don’t know how to get my other stills to be in my other projects

Hey Daika, Your video is so good! Thank you for that. I have a question i want to ask. How would you start grading in Davinci, when shooting in S-Log 3? Have a beautiful day best regards Jonas
I wish you covered the cineprint part which has the 2383 prints. Also why is there seperate nodes for exposure & white balance and other things if I could just edit them in a one node? That does not make sense, I wish you also covered how to tone the others nodes down like you did with the halation part because when you explained the white balance you did not cover how I change it I feel like we need another In-depth tutorial or maybe that's just me! Great tutorial and I learned so much and you did great explaining everything! thank you
2383: It's defo a video that I'm considering making! Nodes: Always good to keep things in separate nodes so that you can really fine tune it! If you bunched up all your edits in one node, it can get hard to keep track of what does what. To tone down the nodes, check out 11:52 and the Key Tab! You can reduce the "strength" of any node :)
This is literally the most calming, concise and informative video to achieve a look I've been lusting over for ages. Thanks so much dude!

I thought for CST, you were supposed to choose your cameras profile? For example, Sony cameras would (normally) be S-Gamut3.cine and Slog 3?
Yes! But if your camera (like mine) doesn't have a picture profile, then Rec709 is the "standard"!
