little tip, click and hold on the numbers in the box, then drag left/right rather than the slider, you can make micro adjustments much more easily! also double click on the label to reset that parameter.
Thank you so much for making a video about these amazing tools! So many youtubers just try to sell you LUTs, this lets you make your own, with the same tools color scientists like Steve Yedlin developed.
just found out about this tool and tried it out yesterday. Im officially gonna have it on every single clip I work on. I graded some prores 422 10 bit footage out of my Sony FX30 and it was so hard to make the image break apart it almost felt like working with 16 bit footage. Davinci resolve really is just the game changer NLE for color grading with all these tools we have available
I really enjoyed watching this. You are an affable character. It was fun watching you work. I have been shooting for 35 years of Hollywood and been in countless timing sessions and it still mesmerizes me to watch it happen. Good fortune to you!
great video thx but i couldnt see your cst in and out nodes...would recommend log to da vinci wide gamut on first node and wide gamut to gamma 2.4 on last node to work in the most DR :)
simple but powerful tool! Love it. Only would have loved to see an ungraded rec709 comparison to really see the difference. But i will try the tool out my self! :)
Great video bro, was wondering if you had a breakdown of your node trees on these shots or if its one of your Lut's and if so which one??? grade is so good 🔥
Hey, thanks :) Grading used here is my Century16 Powergrade, my store is linked in the description and you can find it there (there's also a breakdown video there)
hey mate! this is pretty damn cool, thanks for sharing. do you know if the DCTL behaves differently in a colour managed space, such as Davinci Widegamut?
I loved your approach and explanation and the subtle changes you applied using that dctl. Is it "safe" in any color space or is it designed for a special color space?
I am new to this. Is it true that dclt is only working within the paid version of resolve? So basically with the free version I cannot do this? I get the watermark of resolve

It's free but just work on paid version, is there a solution for that to make it work in free version ?
same problem :(
I was really excited about this, but all of that excitement vanished in an instant.
It's a powerful tool. It could probably simplify the structure of your power grade, replace some of the nodes you've created.
Could be!
I discovered it later on so just added it in, but I’m working on an entirely new emulation anyways
Thank you so much for sharing! This is an awesome tool.
Thank you for watching my friend (:
you've just earned yourself a subscriber and supporter for your future thank you 🤝
Thank you so much ✨
You don’t need to restart Davinci after putting the files in the folder. Just hit ‘update list’ and you’re good to go.
I remembered having to close it for DCTLs, but perhaps I’m wrong 🤷🏻♂️
awesome, your colours looks better like hollywood stuff, even better!!!!!!!!!
Haha I wish !
Thank you (:
Lol

I don't see a DCTL folder, only LUTs. Any solutions?
Maybe it’s me who created that folder. Try just dropping it there on the main folder, see if it works
same problem did you figure it out
@@tommyzimmerman2081 u can just create that folder yourself
this was dope!! 🔥🔥
Gracias Padrino, si mejora mucho el color
Bro, for moving the sliders slowly for fine-tuning, click and drag on the numbers instead of the circle in the line.
Yes, learned that afterwards from someone in the comments! Thank you (:

I wanted to only show the effect of Tetra, not my entire grade
than you yuval, good work
whats the difference between using this and curves

I wouldn't depend on this tool. I simply use it for look development but I exclude it in the final grade

hey mate! this is pretty damn cool, thanks for sharing. do you know if the DCTL behaves differently in a colour managed space, such as Davinci Widegamut?
Thank you!
I used it on Colour Managed workflow before and it seemed to work normally
why dont i have the DCTL folder?
You can make one yourself, I think you could also just throw it there on the main folder
Great examples. Thanks

Is it "safe" in any color space or is it designed for a special color space?

As far as I know it should be working within any managed color pipeline
how do I download it ? I clicked the link and don't see a download button

there is no DCTL folder. Should i need to create one ?
You can create one yourself
whats with the pop filter?
Nothing lol
Do you have anything against it?
It only works in the paid version of Davinci, can you solve it? Because when I apply dctl the watermark appears.
unfortunately it only works in the paid version
does Tetra DCTL work with the free version of davinci resolve?
You need the studio version unfortunately
I dont have a DCTL folder to drag it in to? do I need to create one?
you can just create one, yes
I need the studio version of Davinci to use it right?
Unfortunately, yes
What camera and lens did you use for this? Example footage looks amazing
Thank you!
Curly guy is Alexa Mini, red curtain girl is bmpcc4k
How do I download it?? Need your guidance here please 🙏
Use this -
github.com/npeason/Tetra-DCTLOFX/blob/main/Tetra.dctl
Click on the 3 dotted lines in the top right corner, then you'll see 'download'
