This is something anyone can do in any language that they understand in "normal speed", it's just practice. Some blind peoples, for example, uses the smartphone/computer screen reader on a very fast setting, way faster than the 2x in this video, and they can understand it easily. If you want to make this video blow up again, set the video to .25 speed mute it, right click on the player, and turn on loop. AFK for an hour and you've watched it 400% of the way 13 times in a row.
Still a worthy watch at 0.25x. Spiffing Brit sounds like a stoned robot, and it's hilarious. EDIT: Also, Spiff, congrats on gaining the ability to hack reality. I knew it was only a matter of time.
This has only been up for 7 hours by the time I comment this and the viewer count... Spiff can truly exploit anything. From Games to Steam to TH-cam, next he will exploit life itself
I swear ever since that Minecraft server thing he did several years ago, Spiff seems to have been steadily morphing into a super villain, and, I mean, I'm here for it.
Spiff just discovered that time was perfectly balanced. I don't know about you, but I'm here to find out what's in Spiff's tea that gives him the magical powers.
Today I learned that my habit of watching everything on the internet at 2.5x speed ruins the algorithm. I always assumed that watch time just counted how far into the video that I got, not how long i actually took to watch the video.
@@Joshua_Hale they won’t. If you ever try to make your own channel (like what I’m doing), then you’ll notice that Watch Time is heavily required for Monetisation, and even then, for more money to get gained (I’m hearing this from friends, so don’t count it as 100% true) you want more watch time.
So, it's finally happened...Spiff has broken the laws of space and time. At last, we can now say that time itself is perfectly balanced with no exploits whatsoever.
Damnit! I've always wnated to exploit time, but Spiff has ensured us that there is absolutely no exploits whatsoever and the devs have given us a perfectly balanced system.
This...man has broken all sense of reality. Spiff has now acsended to such heights, I dont think anyone can surpass the stuff he managed to pull off. But this, I don't even understand.
@@monolithichashies7477 That's wrong. He produces a video wich is in reality 120 seconds long, but speeds up by 2, so he uploads 60 seconds. And now the exploit. Because the video is 60 seconds, but you've to watch it with speed set to 0.5, he gains more revenue on his video, cause the playtime is 200%, which makes it more worth to/for TH-cam, than the same video uploaded with normal speed. So he gets a better rating, for the exact same video, even it doesn't make a real difference. That's an absolutely legit exploit :) Please, thanks and goodbye
the recommendation algorithm goes by the metric of watch time per length of the video. Since this video is watched by many at half speed this video gets a larger than 1 rating for this metric because the video is 60sec long and gets watched longer than that per viewer
I really have enjoyed watching him move past game exploits and towards stuff like Steam and TH-cam. It's always nice to sort of see a glitch towards how things work!

Every native speaker in their native languge can do this. Unless they went to a diffrent country for years on end no English
@@youtubespy9473 It's easier for native speakers, but I'm not one and don't listen English everyday and I can understand even on 1.75x (2x is too fast for me, just need to spend more time hearing on that speed), but I do watch videos on 2x in my native language everyday, so it probably helps.
This is something anyone can do in any language that they understand in "normal speed", it's just practice. Some blind peoples, for example, uses the smartphone/computer screen reader on a very fast setting, way faster than the 2x in this video, and they can understand it easily.

Okay but this isn't really an exploit. It does nothing. The net difference is zero
But someone already done this same kind of video tho
@@monolithichashies7477 That's wrong. He produces a video wich is in reality 120 seconds long, but speeds up by 2, so he uploads 60 seconds. And now the exploit. Because the video is 60 seconds, but you've to watch it with speed set to 0.5, he gains more revenue on his video, cause the playtime is 200%, which makes it more worth to/for TH-cam, than the same video uploaded with normal speed. So he gets a better rating, for the exact same video, even it doesn't make a real difference. That's an absolutely legit exploit :)
Please, thanks and goodbye
the recommendation algorithm goes by the metric of watch time per length of the video.
