I think one of the problems is that sometimes the cylinder ends up misaligned with the barrel and the firing pin strikes outside the cap surface. Real revolvers have a mechanism to lock the cylinder in the right position, I don't know if there's a feasible solution to do something similar in this case?
There is no problem with the positioning of the rotating magazine, as the toy plastic slugs can be fired normally. The main problem is that the force of the spring is too small. Since the homemade hollow tube ammunition makes the contact area between the gunpowder and the firing pin smaller, a more powerful impact force is needed to increase the probability of firing.
Another big reason is the ammo cap. The charge of the cap bullet is not evenly distributed, and the charge is also uneven.

When I saw "toy" in description...knew the author was a dumazz.
perhaps you should make a part that the cap mounts on to (a little metal piece) so when the cap is struck it rubs against metal piece causing friction activation?

How easily would it be converted to fire 22wmr? I have heard that it will fire without conversion is that true?
@@paranormaloz2026 it would be impossible to shoot as the gun wouldnt handle the stress and it would blow up in your hand, but in theory it still likely wouldnt work as the hammer lacks power even with modification,
@@MajesticNaan true ok thanks for your reply, I haven't handled the toy myself though I have read the specifications and sizing as opposed to the real one are practically identical I would assume that the "alloy" stated material wouldn't be as strong but I would think at least capable of handling or quite easily modified to take 22lr if not wmr , has anyone here actually tried either shell themselves?
