- This is our second video highlighting Nidia's shrimp mozambique recipe, but this time she shows Duane how to make it! Our first shrimp mozambique video was one of the first videos ever posted to our channel and has been quite successful. However, production values and our ease in front of the camera and behind the editing laptop have vastly improved over the last year and a half. This video features improved sound, and a twist by teaching and showing someone else how easy it is to pull together this recipe. Shrimp Mozambique is a fantastic appetizer, side dish, or main entree, often served with saffron rice, potatoes, salad, and lots of crusty bread to dip into the sauce.
Shrimp Mozambique Ingredients
Butter
Large or Jumbo Shrimp
Goya
Minced garlic or fresh garlic cloves
Frank's RedHot or Piri Piri or Hot Sauce of your choice
Lemon Juice (from concentrate or fresh - your choice!)
Wine, beer or brandy/whisky) optional if you want to add a smooth undertone to the acid brought by the lemon
Everything above used, and adjusted while making, to Your taste.

Great videos. My aunt has always made it with a bud light so that is what always tastes right for me. Greetings from Fall River
Hi from the town next door - Swansea! Yep, we've made it with beer, wine, even brandy - all of it is great and you can adapt this Mozambique recipe to suit your tastes! Thank you so much for watching!
We made your recipe yesterday. It was the best I've ever tasted !! I knew you lived in my area when you said clamboil. 2 thumbs up !!
Thank you so much for trying it! We absolutely love it too! Thanks for not only watching, but also joining in on the adventure.

How many pounds of shrimp would you cook for 50 people?
Hi, thanks for watching... First it depends on the meal, is shrimp going to be an appetizer or a main dish. If main dish, I suggest 10 lbs of medium size shrimp, if you go large shrimp, I suggest 8 lbs. When I make it for a party where there are other main dishes that will be served, I usually do 4 lbs of large shrimp or 5 lbs of medium shrimp. Hope this helps...
Looks good, but i dont think i could work with Nidia in the kitchen... a little too bossy for me. You may have made that diah 1000 times, but cooking is sapose to be fun, she streses me out backseat cooking like that... no offense.
LOL! None taken...
