  • 🗣Marcus Aurelius was the last of Rome's five good emperors. Epictetus was born a slave who was abused by his master. Sineka was a writer and also one of the richest men of his time.
🗝These three completely different people lived three completely different lives. But they still had one common habit - keeping a diary. Epictetus told his students that philosophy was something they should write down day after day.
📜Sineka liked to write a diary in the evenings. Marcus Aurelius took notes in his imperial tent during military campaigns. And for each of them, such a habit was much more than letters on papyrus.
🪧In some sense, is the practice of journaling inseparable from the philosophy of Stoicism? Preparing for the day ahead, reflecting on the past, reminding ourselves of the wisdom we have learned from our teachers. It is not enough to simply hear these lessons once. Instead, the boner practices them over and over again, and most importantly, writes them down and feels them flow through his fingers.🔜
