Glad it worked out. But it’s a concerning that they gave you deadlines; like 4 centimeters in 4 hours. It doesn’t have to be that fast. Pushing only fur an hour? Also not realistic. Saying it’s because baby not tolerating labor? Well they are pushing the limit by giving pitocin. Makes artificially strong contractions. So, the induction causes the problems and then they threaten c-section. It’s crazy.
You’re lucky it worked out. The suction method has very real risks too, even worse than forceps ( if dr is skilled with forceps ). Again, glad you and baby got through it well. I just wish doctors would not interfere unless truly necessary.

I don’t think there was much logic behind it, it definitely seemed like a ‘we have x many other women to deliver so let’s time block each delivery’. Which tbh the whole induction felt like that as there wasn’t much justification for giving me an induction in the first place. I got a sense of being understaffed and wanting to manage each labour by scheduling inductions etc but maybe I’m cynical. I researched a lot so I felt informed thankfully, and as a result I’m at peace with it all. But these situations can be unnecessary and traumatic for a lot of women, those experiences seem to be common in every mat ward right now.
BUT I will say that yes baby and I are great, thanks. And the actual many thin experience of dilapan was much better than I anticipated compared to other methods so I wouldn’t want to scare anyone. Just research everything and try and be confident and in control
