Thank you for not recommending castor oil. I was 41+4 with my first and my midwife gave me 8oz of castor oil to chug (I was 0cm/0% and scheduled for medical induction the next day.) Six hours later, I had the worst pains I’ve ever experienced til then and since, 90 seconds apart lasting a minute from the start. I had a massive bleed in the toilet (it filled the bowl). I seriously thought I was dying. We went to the local ER (not the birth center where I was supposed to go). Castor oil had caused placental abruption, which caused 2-hour precipitous labor. Baby passed meconium and was having heart decels. He was delivered in under ten minutes but we could have lost him. Never went back to that midwife. Have since had two normal, gradually building labors and am expecting #4 soon. Please don’t take castor oil. And if you do, 2oz is a maximum.
I was 4cm and 90% effaced for over a week before labor started, then only had contractions for 2 hours before needing to push 😅 labor is wild and our bodies are amazing!
About the same thing happened to me. I was 4cm, 80% effaced, then the next day my water partially broke at home and I had a 2 hour labor, no time for epidural (but I had planned on not getting one anyway) and pushed for about 20 minutes. I got to the hospital just in time. The doctor didn't even make it in time to catch my baby. Nurses did it all.
I was 3 cm & 100% effaced for 20 days before labor started. Labor was 2 hours and 3 pushes. So lucky. That was 41 yrs ago. Now waiting for that grown baby's 1st baby to come. She's 39+1 weeks. No cervical checks done these days (midwives) so we don't know where her cervix is at, but then again, it means nothing as some, like me, go weeks b4 labor, and other are 0cm when their labor begins! Yes our bodies are amazing!
I went on a 40 min hike and then the FULL Miles circuit that evening and that encouraged baby to make his appearance the following morning! This was my second child born at 39 + 5!

Thank you for the support. I'm 39w4d pregnant, and I've been walking & squating, curb walking, eating dates & black licorice and spicy food, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, and I've tried nipple stimulation. This is my first baby, and I'm 39 years old. I just watched a video yesterday about the miles circuit. But thank you for being reassuring that your baby will come when they're ready. I think I needed to hear this today.
@Sherri Morrison Nothing worked. I did one round of cervical ripening, which didn't work as well. I was still at 0cm dilated, and I was 41 weeks & 3 days pregnant when I went in for my second dose and was still completely closed. They were monitoring my baby's heart and noticed he wasn't handling my natural contractions well. His heart rate kept dropping. I had to have a c-section. But it wasn't an emergency c-section, so it was a very calm and good experience. Everything happens so fast. I think the best thing you can do is stay calm and not overstress when the baby is coming. Just make sure you are working with your doctors and monitoring your baby's progress. And advocate for yourself, especially in the hospital. Good luck!
@@jessicasewell5956 thank you for sharing your experience. Just goes to show that anything can happen and plans don’t always work out. I have midwives and am going to have a home birth, but am prepared to go the hospital as well. Glad you were able to deliver your baby safely and calmly. Wishing you all the best!
@@isabelprohaska5611 honestly it's absolutely driving me mad how uneducated 99% of women are about natural physiological birth 😢 I'm 42.2 weeks at the moment and I'm astounded at how impatient women are after they get close or pass their 'due date' 😮
Came up with this video. I am 38 weeks and 6 days today. Thank you for this I already did a lot exercises from 37 weeks and still nothing. This little boy is still very comfortable in his mommas tummy 😂 Pray for me to have a normal delivery 🙏
@@MidgardMother it didn't cause labor for my daughter, but it gave her horrible pains so she had to stop taking it. Took one day only. I wonder why the pain??
Five centimeters dilated at 38 weeks and I went right from my 38 appointment to labor and delivery! 🤣 had my babe the next morning! ❤️ Also, my baby shot out! (Fetal ejection) LITERALLY shot out! 🫣 Thankful for a better experience this time around and for an amazing midwife who was there with me!
Omg was there anything you did to encourage the dilation and quick delivery? With my first I tried so many different things and I still had to be induced and due to not dilating even after the induction, she ended up being born at 42 weeks
@@emmanuelaemejuru7190 that's literally my worst nightmare 😩. My first was born at 37 weeks and I'm not sure when this kid will come out lml. But I'm thinking about trying natural ways to induce
I ate the dates, used yoga ball, ate spicy food, walked, drank raspberry leaf tea, did spinning babies. even tried to loosen my own mucus plug but it was the nipple stimulation that definitely seemed to bring on contractions and pains for me.
@@jadepr08yeah I went to 41+5 with my first after trying miles circuit, segs, dates, literally everything. I’m 39+4 today and I’m not doing anything but bouncing on my ball to keep baby’s position. That’s it. They come when ready.
Hey Shayla I LOVE your videos. You're funny, raw, down to earth, natural, eco conscious, minimalist or try your hardest to be, your price range for things isn't unrealistic like other videos with the same content, and most of all you don't add vomit inducing intros or music like other moms do with the same content. I already feel like puking I don't need that sparkle fluff crap, thankk youu 🙏❤
This is my third pregnancy and the first one I’ve done anything to get labor going. Things have been moving right along, much quicker than the other times. The tea, the dates, sex, nipple stimulation, all of that and walking all seem to be helping me continue to progress. Thank you for the info and encouragement!
I didn’t feel contractions with either of my daughters, but I was very nauseous and puked so much that I became dehydrated and had to go to the hospital with both. Due October 15th with both, went into labor and had both on September 30th! Two girls, three years apart, exactly!
I believe this totally works!!!! My first two were 13 and 12 days over and I tried everything except caster oil 🤣. I was desperate with my third baby and found out about the miles circuit. I did half of it one day, and a couple days later started it over and finished. I went into labor ON MY DUE DATE at 6PM and had her at 1AM (she's now 8 months old). So crazy!! I really believe it helped!! I will DEFINITELY be trying it again if we have any more kids.
First time mom here! 40w+1d today. Yesterday at my doctor's appointement, I was 3.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Baby is supposed to be in a good position, head on the cervix. I've been dilated for more than 2 weeks, but I can't feel either my Braxton-Hicks. Tried rasberry leaf tea, yoga ball, sex, mopping floor, Miles circuit, etc. I had a membrane sweep yesterday. A few cramps last night but not much. Can't wait to meet my daughter hopefully within next couple of days! 🥰 (My mom had to have 3 inductions... I'm crossing my fingers I will give birth without an induction. 🤞)
I’m watching this in early labor that seems to have lasted for 2 weeks (due date is tomorrow) and I’m Jchillin’ at 3cm dilated and 100% effaced with no contractions and laughing so hard. I can relate to everything you’ve said 😂
Nice video😊. Raspberry leaf tea does not induce labor. It tones the uterus for more effective contractions when the time comes, it softens the cervix too but it does not induce labour.
My daughter tried the tea at 38 weeks and it keep her up all night in horrible pain so she stopped taking it, but she's eating dates. She's 39 wks now & having NST's and ultrasounds as she's 41 yr old FTM . She's under care of hospital midwives. No sign of labor yet & they've agreed to allow her to go to 41 wks. (she was born on her due date & I agree that baby usually will come when it's ready)
I’m 38 weeks and have had a feeling that my baby is ready and on the way. He’s my first and now I’m paranoid but this video has helped SO MUCH!!!!! Thank you so so much!!!!
@@angelocean5556baby’s are technically full term at 39 weeks I was medically induced at 41+4 with my second because the longer they’re in there the more risk there is for still birth
Literally tried EVERYTHING in this video and more and was stuck at 3cm for 4 weeks and had prodromal labour on and off for 3 weeks. Lost my mucous plug over a week before I was induced. Turns out baby was posterior and did not wanna budge.
I feel like all these videos are fun to watch.. but there’s no real way to induce your own labour until that baby is READY. If I can save one mom to be from this stress, I will try!! This contributed a lot to depression near the end of my pregnancy because I tried every tip and trick and nothing worked because she wasn’t ready. I was induced at 41 weeks. I tried everything for 3 weeks and had a favourable cervix, dilated to 3 1/2 before I was even in hospital and nothing worked.
@@heyshayla your agreeing but you have basically put up a video title 'how to induce Labour naturally' insinuating your daughters arrival 12 hours later was a result of what you had implemented.
@@hannah3965 Her intentions aren’t bad though. I love watching her videos I just think it’s important for moms to be to know its when their baby and their body is ready ☺️
Yeah, I drank 3x day rasberry leaf tea for the last 3 months, nipple stimulation, rolled back and forth on boucy ball, figure 8s, ate spicy food, dates, had sex, lots of walking, had membranes stripped the day before my due date. Baby boy was born 10 days late. The only thing I did not try was castor oil b/c I heard bad things about it.
Due today! Thanks for this straight to the point no fluff video. 🙌🏽 Gonna give the mile circuit and baby come out a go this morning. It’s time to come out baby! 🎉
@@vibewithtoro good in the sense that I had my term baby within 48 hrs! But not so good in that my water broke (micro tears) by the afternoon with no contractions by 24hrs so we went to the hospital to confirm what the small leaks I'd been experiencing were. They confirmed and I had to be induced that night. 22hrs later baby was born with a somewhat complicated delivery. Because it had been so long of my water breaking, my placenta had begun to decay which gave me a fever at around 8cm dilation which continued to increase by 10cm... at which point baby's heart rate was consistently elevating so it became imperative to get her out ASAP. To complicate things further, her shoulder got stuck on my pelvic bone, and baby ended up catching my fever and had to stay 5 days in the NICU for a round of general antibiotics to tackle the fever. She is now 10 days shy of 3 months though and doing well. All in all I did enjoy this video and am by no means saying not to do it!!
I was 39 weeks exactly when the doctor asked me “u wanna get induced today?” i was shocked and said no…then I came home feeling shit cause I reaally wanted the baby to come out naturally. That day I did my prenatal yoga to naturally induced labor, I ate pineapples (no idea if that helped), did nipple stimulation and was being intimate with my husband for 2 times🤭🤭 then 2h later I started going into labor and the baby came out 21h afterwards
I'm 36 weeks today and just stumbled across you channel. I'm so happy I found your videos before baby boy gets here. As soon as you said the thing about 80/20 cloth diapering and keeping it real I was hooked. I need all the advice I can get but let's be real, I know I'm not going to be perfect and I'm okay with that.
Seriously what would I do without Shayla! 40 weeks & 1 day currently. Baby come quickly! Dates Red raspberry leaf tea Sex Curb walking Hypnobabies Nipple stimulation Miles circuit
I'm a pediatric SLP and literally 4 days before my son was born I had a kid run off during a session and I had to hustle and run after them! All of my co workers were so concerned, but honestly staying so active and sitting in the floor with the kids all the time couldn't have hurt. And I really think red raspberry leaf tea helped prepare my body too!
Yes! Interesting and fun. You sound like a fun person to hang with. I am 39w and 3d with my 5th baby. Getting this baby out is all I can think about. I’m driving my hubby crazy. It’s not been a fun week with all my crazy emotions. Anyway! I appreciate your candor. Going to watch your birth vlog now.
37 weeks and couple days and been feeling immense pressure down there she’s definitely trying to engage into that position. Been having some lower back pain as well feeling pretty rough, thanks for your video
I was just in l&d and got sent home. I’m 37 weeks and several days. I was contracting 3 mins apart but I was only 2 cm. I was there for two hours and they checked me twice. Said I wasn’t progressing. I have been having bad cramping, pressure in my private and butt, ligament pain, and severe back pain. They told me when I can’t talk or walk to go in. If my water breaks to definitely go in, and they will have to do something because about 72 hours it’s a risk for infection.
@@sharnittahawkins170 same boat today, i got my cervix measured at 3 cm and im 37 weeks, but she told me any day can pop. been eating dates for over a week and hopefully get delivering before December 10.
I love how you said none of this will 100% make your labor start. So true. I tried to induce myself. I had eaten dates for weeks, 3x red raspberry leaf tea starting 3rd trimester, sex (though at that point I could not even see my crotch), nipple stimulation, squat, all these exercise ball things. Guess what? Baby was born 10 days late (I was set up to be induced) so I am not convinced any of that worked and labor took almost 24 hr, with squating and moving around. I also hear you may be more likely to go over if you mom did (mine didn't with any of us so go figure).
I am currently 39 weeks and 3 days with my first. I have been eating dates for almost 2 weeks, walking and curb walking every day and night, keeping active in the garden and just ge erally getting out, sitting on a gym ball and doing some pelvic exercisis, pressing accupressure points, and having sex and stimulating nipples. Tonight i am going to try some pelvic alignment exercisis as well. Here's hoping tomorrow is the day! Or Sunday :) if not i am booked for an induction on the 5th of October. Praying it all happens naturally!
My due date is October 5th Did you end up having baby?? I’ve been eating dates and drinking raspberry leaf tea for the last month or so. I’ve also been living on the ball and doing pelvic movements everyday, multiple times a day. As well as taking walking in the evenings. How ya feeling momma??
@@lisabetramsey20 not had baby yet! But I had some pretty strong contractions and back pain last night so monitoring it today! Hopefully today is the day. How about you?
I had a slight leak at 39weeks thinking it was baby time. Waited four days until she decided to be earthside. Every doctor insisted on antibiotics and an induction. The risk of infection is lower if you don't get internal checks and check your temperature regularly. In Australia, 95% of bubs are born within 96hours of water breaking.
At 39w6d I self induced using the nipple stimulation method. Put Elvie breast pump on one side for 20min. Second side for 20min. Within an hour from finishing I had contractions. 8hours later, he was born 6am on his due date at home! (Planned)
@@howtobemotherly I wonder if being that it was my first, my body was very sensitive to nipple stimulation? But thats great to hear- Id love to do the same. But I dont expect it to work a second time.
@@howtobemotherly It’s different if your body’s been nursing through pregnancy. The sensitivity seems to be slightly decreased when nursing long term, even while pregnant. The sensitivity does return after nursing has ended for a few weeks etc. I also was nursing my toddler while pregnant with my 2nd. I really wanted a break and cut him off like two months before I was due. I didn’t try nipple stimulation to induce with her, but right after she was born, he hopped back on the boobs to get whatever she didn’t finish after every meal. 😂 Which was great in a way, because it completely prevented me from getting a single clogged duct or any engorgement issues like the few times I had experienced with him as a newborn.
If you are planning to tandem nurse your toddler and newborn I highly recommend that you wash off between the toddler and newborn. Not saying this will happen to you, but mine got oral thrush (an overgrowth of bacteria) and in hind sight I believe it was caused by my toddler sharing the breasts without washing off between them. Even if toddlers are having their teeth cleaned daily, they are still eating solids, snacks, fruit sugars, and things like that, which can be introduced to the newborn. And those sugars and toddler bacteria can cause a yeast overgrowth in their mouth. 😕
I literally did all of these things since 36 weeks, religiously! Evening primrose oil vaginally, dates,. raspberry leaf tea, miles circuit, chiropractor, acupuncture with stimulation, sex, walking kilometers a day, curb walking, used only the birthing ball instead of the couch, and pumping! Oh and asked for cervical checks and stretch and sweeps starting at 38 weeks.. EVERYTHING. Did absolutely nothing. Ended up with an elective induction at 40+4 (bcuz I didn't want to go over 41 weeks).. needed Foley for cervical ripening.. literally nothing ripened my cervix. None of those things did anything for me. And I will NOT be wasting my time next time.
I am 41+2 today. Have been in the hospital for about 36 hours. The cervix balloons were really uncomfortable, but I lost my mucus plug and we’ll see. Same thing: I did acupuncture, meditation, birthing ball exercises, ate dates and pineapple, had a full bag of raspberry leaf tea over the last few weeks, went on daily walks/hikes. NOTHING
What kind of breast pump did you use? I only have a silicone handsfree passive suction one, so you think it’ll work? I had one that was given to me but it was kind of old and broke when I tried to use it.
We learned that sex is no joke when it comes to bringing on labor! My husband and I had sex at 32 weeks and I went into threatened preterm labor just hours later. I spent the next 36 hours in L&D trying to get the contractions to settle down after dilating to 2 cm. When they discovered I was at 2 cm I was being told that the baby might be coming soon, it scared the shit out of me. I'm at 33+2 now and doing well, no other signs of labor.
I love your personality. You’re like that friend I’d come to for both good birth/baby advice but also a good laugh and entertainment (which is a total compliment, trust me😅). 😂
TH-cam recommended after I've watched a number of natural induction videos. I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow, and I love your down to earth vibe. Think I'll check out your other stuff.
I’m so glad that this video was relaxed and explained to the point with no BS. Definitely subscribed and I love how you present yourself. I’m 39 weeks and 5 days and I’m trying so desperately to get my contractions going. My husband, bless him and I understand. Just isn’t up for having sex, he mentally can’t be intimate in that way with me right now. He mentioned seeing baby and I in a fragile state and he feels protective… He’s at the store right now literally getting me dates, pineapple and red raspberry leaf tea. I have cramping, and have started doing those exercises these last two days. I think I’m someone who sheds their mucus plug? Instead of it all just coming out at once. I’ve had pink mucus for the past week, I’m just so ready to have our first son. I’ll be exactly 40 weeks on the 17th of February! Hoping these remedies work😩🤍
Hey, sooooo fun fact - I will also be 40 weeks with my first son/ child February 17th ❤. I haven’t been doing much of anything besides a tiny bit of walking :/ but I just thought it was cool that we share a “due date”. I did buy red raspberry tea and lactation tea but i have yet to drink any 🤦🏾♀️. Sometimes I feel my tummy getting tight and i have discharge but i don’t think it’s my mucus plug … anyhoo, I hope we both still miraculously have our babies on Feb 17th :)
I've never felt a contraction. My "contractions" all came in the form of searing white hot debilitating lower back pain. Which I was fully unprepared for.
Please don’t be in a hurry. It’s a very beautiful yet difficult thing. I’m a first time mom at 27. Had rlly bad nausea for 2 months straight. Back pain, acid reflux, hemorrhoids, could go on forever lol…. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful blessing but no one ever told me the hard part.
I’m 40+3 weeks today, 1rst baby, I have passed my due date, I have been 1cm dilated for a week, than 2cm dilated the next week lol 😅 toi slow!! I do almost everything I heard to make it work such as exercices, walk, stairs, eating dates, okra soup, sex, but still nothing serious yet! My belly has dropped so low, I do exercices every day, eat dates even thought I don’t like them, I’ve lost micus plug several Times at least 8 Times already; I think it all dépends on one person to another, also some family history👌🏼 I read it in an article. My mom had me at 42 weeks induced labor; one Of my sisters had her baby girl at 41 weeks, etc… So I have stopped putting so much pressure on myself, and just let it come naturally has the Lord will decide !! He is the one and only one who is in control Of all this! JUST RELAX MAMAS AND WAIT 😊
Girl same, I'm 36 weeks and I've been feeling restless, having the runs/loose stools this past week, more discharge and lower back cramps lately. I go for my 36 week checkup tomorrow so hopefully they give me an idea of when baby will come 🙏 getting really hard to get comfortable my back has been killing me
Is that dangerous?? I’ve read that you should go to the hospital immediately after it breaks.. did you have to be induced or did they let it happen naturally??
@@heyshayla 😂 yes! I had a home birth and my midwives were supportive of going as long as baby and I had no signs of infection and our vitals were great. They were supportive of me going to the hospital for an epidural/meds if I wanted but I wanted an unmedicated homebirth so badly and never even honestly considered it! (Obviously I would have if baby or I were in trouble but everything was great). 24 hours is actually just kind of an arbitrary number that hospitals tend to set but there's no real scientific basis for it. 🤷🏻♀️ I'm so glad I listened to my body ~ my birth was trauma free and beautiful! Looking forward to my second in January...although I'll be honest I'm hoping for a bit shorter. 🤣
@@needyheartsclub5577 I had a planned homebirth with midwives, so I called my midwives when it broke in the middle of the night and they came and checked in with me the next morning. We monitored me for signs of infection and kept an eye on baby's and my vitals, and my midwives were completely comfortable with waiting as long as it took my body and as long as I wanted to. I wasn't induced either, my water broke naturally at 40 weeks and a few days. He was born at 41 weeks exactly! There's actually no evidence to suggest that there should be a set time limit for every woman to give birth after her water breaks. I personally also took immunity supports during labor to lower my risk of infection. ☺️
I have never met a mom who’s personality reminded me so much of mine lol. You are hilarious. 😂 at 37 weeks with a big baby (GD) so gonna try to start this week on these methods.
Omg thank you I’m about to try the miles circuit because I’m due tomorrow but my cervix is still closed and I’m supposed to be induced next week but I really want her to come naturally
Curb walking threw my pelvis out of alignment sadly. I did the Myers circuit twice and baby did engage better, but no contractions. I subbed curb walking for the chair move the second time, and it so much easier on my body! Currently 40+4 and I've tried everything.
You've still got 2 weeks till you're full term. Why are you panicking mama!? I'm 42.2 days almost 3 days now and from my very extensive research it's absolutely fine 🙏
The video I've most related to!! I can't tell you how frustrated I am waiting for something for something that 1. No idea when will come. 2. What it will look/feel like. No one prepared you for this feeling of helplessness!!!
This is the most relate video about birth I've seen. My first one, I lost my mucus plug when i didnt realize when, then at 37weeks appointment, my midwife induced me as i already 2cm dilated. My water broke at night, and baby born at 3am. Easy one. The second one, with all this back pain, heartburn, and a lot more spot in pain in my body, which I have never felt with my son, and she's almost 40weeks, not engaging, even with all the yoga stretches I used to do with my first, nothing works, pineapples, dates, yoga, and all the workouts, walking, being active and whatever. Its been a week since my first dilation, I used to have a 5:1:1 contractions, and its gone the next morning, and no more painful contractions up till now.. a week.. i mean, a week?! This is kinda surprising for me. I didnt even want to be induced any more as it is really painful back then
I have been at 4 cm now for almost a week and I feel like my labor has stopped and started so many times. I am so beyond frustrated at this point but my Dr won't break my water!!! I know that if she did it would kick my labor in! It did with my first born. This momma is so beyond done it's not even funny anymore! I am doing all the things walking, curb walking, pumping, sex, raspberry leaf tea, stairs and it's feels like nothing is working!😭
I’m 37 weeks 4 days, baby is super low, perfect position, and I’ve been having contractions that vary in intensity and timing for 3 days now. They go away when I got to sleep but damn in the evening they are sometimes pretty intense. This is my second baby so I’m so nervous that this one is going to just arrive so quick we wont have time to get to the hospital… my husband is so nervous he took his vacation time early which I thought was great but now he’s just stressing me out even more lol
It sounds like you might be experiencing prodomal labor. I had this the last 3 weeks of both my pregnancies. Both went overdue (41+1 and 41). Highly suggest just resting and do your best to ignore it.
Omg! I feel you! My partner also is not working because we were possibly going to have a c section yesterday but he is driving me nuts lol 😂 I’m sure he thinks I’m driving him nuts but I don’t think so hahaha. It’s so painful, & I just want this baby out already lol
same here and I'm currently 40 weeks and 4 days. Last night had maybe what felt like intense contractions so I decided to go to sleep when they weren't bothering me and hoped to get rest before they jolted me awake. nothing, gone and I'm still pregnant. be trying everything for the past three days (now 4) and I don't want to be induced. It's making me mad that all the women in my family all had theirs on the due dates, 100% natural while I'm looking at possibly being induced, I worked alot and I thought that would help but nope.
I dilate way ahead so it definitely doesn’t mean anything! With my 3rd I was 4cm at 38, 6cm, 100% at 39, 7cm at 40. Had him at 40+2. Mucous plug I lost all month. I had contractions like every night. The only reason I went in the night I had him was because I woke up feeling jittery and had spotting. It was a 1 hour labor. With my 2nd, it was more obvious. I lost my mucous plug, had diarrhea and then had contractions. Had her 3 hours later. Pregnant with my 4th, was 4cm, 50% at 37w. Decided not to get checked this week but probably 6cm if I had to guess. We’ll see!
With my third child I also tried to help myself. Well my friend did. She gave me 5 chillis and I ate them all. And when I called her 4-5 hours later that now it is time to go ( she was my support person at that birth) and she did not believe me. 🤭 But it worked so quickly.
Your intro was everything. 38 weeks. Baby tried to come at 35 and they stopped her. And now I'm so over this. Braxton hicks everyday for over 2 weeks. I'm miserable.
I’m the same! Only I’m 35+4 right now. My baby tried coming at 34+3, and I almost needed an emergency c-section. He’s doing better now but I’m slowly getting over this. Over a week of constant Braxton hicks/contractions. both painful and not. I just want him here since they’re no longer going to try stopping labor since 3 terb shots in 24 hours didn’t do much
I'm on my 4th baby it's a girl I've been sitting and listening and once you said esmae I started laughing because that's what were naming our baby girl I was floored I clicked your video not even knowing. Haha. That's awesome.
I had no Braxton hicks either. I just suddenly went into labor, water broke, and 3 hours later I had a baby in my arms. I swear it was from eating dates for the last month!
I really thought it was time today for like 4 hours I was contracting so strong and frequent then it started slowing down and now it basically stopped and I was able to eat and sleep but now I’m hoping things get going. I’m going to try curb walking as soon as the sun comes up. What a tease lol
I’m 41 weeks pregnant and have had absolutely no signs of labor and am constantly trying every method (miles circuit, sex, spicy food, etc etc) and I’m trying so hard to avoid being induced but nothing is working 😩
40+5 weeks. I did the first miles circle today. I did curb walking. I am using the ball all the time. I am doing labor inducing exercises since 38 weeks. I am eating dates since more than a month. I did all the other things such as acupuncture, nipple stimulation, drinking special teas … Everything except caster oil. Still nothing.
This happened to me also! I've done everything, including the castor oil... nothing. I'm 40+3, 4cm dilated, lost my mucus plug 4 days ago... nothing. So discouraging.
I'm 21 weeks but I am trying to prep myself for later with all info I can because my first pregnancy I gave birth exactly 41 weeks. It was awful I missed mothers day by 2 days. I tried EVERYTHING to get my son out nothing worked. So looking for new things when the time comes 😂🎉
So my boys are 4 years apart and they both over cooked, so one supposed to be born on the 16th of Aug and end up Sept 1st and than my second one June 16th and end up 23rd of June. Sooooooo im just assuming this third one gonna over cook, and ive been put an eviction notice on his door. Ugghhh due tomorrow, pray for me!! Hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning going to labor !!! ❤❤❤ Gotta love the boys! 😒😒🤣🤣
This was so much fun to listen to. Your way of taking is so relatable. Seemed like was listening to a mate! I'm 5 days away from being 40 weeks let's hope it comes soon!
I'm now 3 days past my due date and trying everything I can to induce labor naturally, bc otherwise I get induced next week - which ofc is not preferred since I want natural as possible. Gonna try the miles circuit, love this video thank you.
Finishing the lunge and my standing foot hurts. This is no cake walk haha. I do feel like baby shifted a little more centrally though. She has leaned either left or right this whole time so I’m sure I have more Miles Circuit in my future. Oddly, my name is Megan Miles soooo maybe it’s fate that it’ll work. 38 weeks today!
I had a precipitous labor with fetal ejection. My husband wanted me to have the baby 5 days early so they could share a birthday. So i walked 1 mile a day, starting on hubby's birthday, for 5 days. On my due date the doctor said I was 3cm dilated and if I had sex and took castor oil I would have the baby today. So in between visits to the toilet I told my husband to get to work(so romantic).
😮
8oz!!!! 😳😳😳😳😳😳 that is absolutely ridiculous!!! 1 tbsp max!!! But 1 tsp is better. Poor baby
Thank Jesus you’re both okay!! I’m so sorry you had to go through that
Crazy!!! I was told only two tablespoons, that's insane I'm so glad baby and you are safe.
I did castor oil my first baby and went into labor within 4 hrs… I only had a spoonful wth was your midwife thinking ????
I was 4cm and 90% effaced for over a week before labor started, then only had contractions for 2 hours before needing to push 😅 labor is wild and our bodies are amazing!
That's awesome!!! How did you know to get to the hospital in time? Did you time contractions or something?
THIS is the DREAM 💪🏻🙏🏻💕
About the same thing happened to me. I was 4cm, 80% effaced, then the next day my water partially broke at home and I had a 2 hour labor, no time for epidural (but I had planned on not getting one anyway) and pushed for about 20 minutes. I got to the hospital just in time. The doctor didn't even make it in time to catch my baby. Nurses did it all.
You're so lucky!!
👏👏👏👏
You have a lot of energy haha!

How did it go? I’m 37 weeks and 39 years old, not trying to get baby out yet, but want to start preparing!
Gosh why are people trying to induce at 39 weeks? Speaks to the fear we instill in pregnant women…
Just want to clarify that it’s red raspberry LEAF tea that you should drink
Also, Red Raspberry Leaf tea is not a abortive, meaning it’s not going to cause labor.
Oh my gosh! Did you tear?
So you barely pushed pretty much?
Hope im that luck next month 🤞
Omg was there anything you did to encourage the dilation and quick delivery?
With my first I tried so many different things and I still had to be induced and due to not dilating even after the induction, she ended up being born at 42 weeks

A lot of ppl mistake BH contractions for the baby balling up and pressing against the uterine wall 😊
I ate the dates, used yoga ball, ate spicy food, walked, drank raspberry leaf tea, did spinning babies. even tried to loosen my own mucus plug but it was the nipple stimulation that definitely seemed to bring on contractions and pains for me.
👏👏👏
If I may ask how did you loosen your mucus plug?
How did you do the nipple stimulation?
Lucky you none of this or Seggs is working for me I’m going to be 42 weeks tomorrow

My mom had to have 2!
Safe delivery
A membrane sweep is a form of induction!? 🥴
42 weeks is full term 😩
Can you explain more about the mopping the floor? What does it do exactly?
I’m watching this in early labor that seems to have lasted for 2 weeks (due date is tomorrow) and I’m Jchillin’ at 3cm dilated and 100% effaced with no contractions and laughing so hard. I can relate to everything you’ve said 😂
Me too!!! 😂😅
38 weeks.. Ffs 😩 you're a month of being full term and you're trying to force your baby out. Wow 😮
@@angelocean555637 weeks is full term.
🙌
Totally agree!!!
How did it go?

I felt this intro 😂😂 I’m so ready for labor to start and anything I feel I ask okay is this labor 😂😂😂
My due date is October 5th
Did you end up having baby??
I’ve been eating dates and drinking raspberry leaf tea for the last month or so. I’ve also been living on the ball and doing pelvic movements everyday, multiple times a day. As well as taking walking in the evenings.
How ya feeling momma??

October 4th due date here! 🙋♀️
@@hgjones4596 hopefully your bub comes on the date haha! Mine is stubborn and is already 4 days over 😆
I had a slight leak at 39weeks thinking it was baby time.
(Planned)
I am 38 weeks right now. I've never stopped nursing my older and guess what, still pregnant.

Ended up with a vaginal delivery, the whole induction was 15 hours, active labour for 7 hours, pushed for 41 mins. So it ended up well for me. :)
I LOOOOVE HEARING GOOD INDUCTION STORIES!!! Thank you!

NOTHING
Yes nipple stimulation worked for me... I used my breast pump for a hour each side and then the next day baby came
What kind of breast pump did you use?
Everyone’s different i had sex at 35 weeks and was fine, didn’t induce labor for me

He’s at the store right now literally getting me dates, pineapple and red raspberry leaf tea. I have cramping, and have started doing those exercises these last two days. @@heyshayla 😂 yes! I had a home birth and my midwives were supportive of going as long as baby and I had no signs of infection and our vitals were great.
You dont have to consent to induction
You're so real and relatable! Gonna binge watch your videos now 😅
Just came across your video. Love how you keep it real . Subscribed 😁
I didnt even want to be induced any more as it is really painful back then
First timer here, you are hilarious!!!😂
You’re so funny! I love your energy, plus super helpful tips💕
Hahaha such an exciting and confusing time!!!
@@madisonjane9865 lololol
same here and I'm currently 40 weeks and 4 days.
We’ll see!
I do eat dates and have RRL.
lol not me comparing belly pics right before watching this. Can confirm I am 100% going insane
Say less. I 100000% did this!
This was amazing thank you! Thank you for the links and time stamps too!
AGH I love that you named your baby esme 😭
Today is my due date with baby #2 and I'm thankful for this video ❤️ and all your videos but yeah I like this one 😅
Wow no kidding!! Happy due date!!
Honestly needed to see this!!! Your are hilarious!
I was 41 weeks and 2 days when my wee one came. Three days before i had those tightening contractions with no pain. That weekend BOOM baby
I am currently 40weeks, baby head is engaged however my cervix is closed. I need to get this cervix open, this is my first baby
Early gang!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳 Hey Shayla!!!👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾
I felt called out when you mentioned googling everything 😂
😂😂👏
Thank you I needed to hear this because I was obsessing again lol
Ok but sex in third trimester? How? 😅 I'm so uncomfortable all the time, can barely sit or lie down comfortably 😒
I cannot have sex at all its painful, my body hurts everything hurts.
I just want him here since they’re no longer going to try stopping labor since 3 terb shots in 24 hours didn’t do much
I want my baby out! Im so over pregnancy
How often did you eat dates?
@@fatou4326 I usually blended up 2 or 3 in my morning smoothie. Give it a try if you are pregnant!!
Sounds good. Is it a specific type of date you ate? But Thank you! I appreciate it.
I really thought it was time today for like 4 hours I was contracting so strong and frequent then it started slowing down and now it basically stopped and I was able to eat and sleep but now I’m hoping things get going. I’m going to try curb walking as soon as the sun comes up. What a tease lol
Do you want to be friends? Haha. I loved this video! Straight to the point, thank you! 🥰
this is so informative, thank you momma!
I’m 39+3 and am going to give the spinning babies a try!! Thanks for posting, I really needed to hear this!
Yay!!!
hey! did it work for you ? 😭 39+2 & I want this baby out soon
@@BrendaGonzalez-hj6xj no :( I ended up having to be induced on 8/31 because I got covid! Good luck to you!!
@@loganswedberg7542 why would getting Covid mean you need to be induced?
I’m 41 weeks pregnant and have had absolutely no signs of labor and am constantly trying every method (miles circuit, sex, spicy food, etc etc) and I’m trying so hard to avoid being induced but nothing is working 😩
Talk to your baby! They’ll be here soon. I also have friends who were induced and had a great experience. Just tell them to start slow if you have to!
I could swear I’ve seen this outfit somewhere 😂 fantastic content as always Shayla!
40+5 weeks. I did the first miles circle today.
I did curb walking.
I am using the ball all the time.
I am doing labor inducing exercises since 38 weeks.
I am eating dates since more than a month.
I did all the other things such as acupuncture, nipple stimulation, drinking special teas …
Everything except caster oil.
Still nothing.
Likewise ,I am 40 weeks and 5 days only 1cm. Have an induction scheduled for tomorrow still have hope baby will come before then.
Same here, 40+6, did all the things and absolutely nothing, baby is super high still and I'm not effaced at all.
This happened to me also! I've done everything, including the castor oil... nothing. I'm 40+3, 4cm dilated, lost my mucus plug 4 days ago... nothing. So discouraging.
I m 39+5 and did all things possible but my baby hasn’t even took it’s position and there is no sign of pain or anything else.
Also not pregnant (my 12 month old nursing as we speak lol) but always good info to hear!
😂😂👏👏
I feel this, 40 weeks no signs😂😂😂😂
I’m 3 days away from 40 weeks with my second, first was at 38 weeks and 5 days so I was expecting the same 😅
@2k2012 best of luck for your delivery! I'm loving having 2 little ones- highly sleep deprived but loving it lol
I'm now 3 days past my due date and trying everything I can to induce labor naturally, bc otherwise I get induced next week - which ofc is not preferred since I want natural as possible. Gonna try the miles circuit, love this video thank you.
@nancycoolen9264
Does it work for you or not?
@@kratakrata3641 the miles circuit didn’t work for me but acupuncture did! I went for a session and the night after I went into labor
Basically if your body/baby isn’t ready none of these things will work. Frustrating but just part of having a baby 🤷🏻♀️
Due date friday - perfect timing!
Wow no kidding!!!
Thank you😊 you re so funny. Im gonna try the circuit 😁🤞
Im 24 weeks and so excited
Tomorrow is my last date of dilevery please pray for me ..
Currently 35 weeks and I lost my mucus plug last week. I am scheduled to be induced in 2 weeks. I was hoping to induce naturally by 37 weeks.
I love your personality 🤣🥰 had me laughing through out. Thank you :)
