We are truly overjoyed that you have chosen DILAPAN-S, the hormone-free induction option! 😊Your positive birth experience, achieved through a gentle yet effective method, makes our work meaningful, and therefore, we want to express our gratitude. We are so happy for you and your beautiful, healthy baby. 😊We wish you and your family all the joy and happiness in the world.

I was worried at first, as I couldn’t find much user generated content online, but it was honestly a great experience. The scariest thing about inductions is how long they can take due to the inefficiency of the hormonal methods, and the increased risk of intervention with them, but this is a game changer. If I don’t go into labour spontaneously with my next, I’d definitely try and advocate for using Dilapan again! :)

Why one hour? It can take three hours of pushing. Heart rate always goes down during contractions then goes back up.
I hope they didn’t rush you.
Congratulations on cute baby! Hope you healed well.

I’m not sure tbh! I’m not sure if it was because of the epidural or the pain relief k had taken, or if I wasn’t pushing enough, she just said I needed to get him out in an hour! I was struggling to bear down with the lack of sensation tbh so I think I needed the assisted delivery. Thank you, all recovered and have a happy and healthy 7 month old now!

You’ll be safe and looked after, you’ve got this! The most important thing is to educate yourself about all of your options (pain relief, boundaries, music etc) so that you feel in control. I think a lot of people have bad experiences when they think it’ll be to plan and then they feel out of control when it doesn’t, so try to have a positive mindset about all of the things that could end up happening and don’t be afraid to get the epidural IF you want it and struggle with the pain. It can be intense but know there is always something to help! It is a marathon so prep with snacks and a plan A, B, and C. It’ll be over before you know it and it’s an amazingly beautiful, intense experience. You’ll do so well and you’ll be safe and you’ll get your beautiful baby by the end. Let me know how you get on ❤️

Girlie, it sounds like you had an unnecessary induction and delivered with medical staff that seemed bothered you dared to even show up. And that's not even mentioning the gas lighting when you said you felt the need to push. Congrats on your beautiful baby though

100%, I agree. I definitely could’ve delivered earlier if I was listened to, and I didn’t push for it out of fear of giving birth right then so I just held back as much as possible. I’m just glad it was a positive experience and I knew the process for what to expect. Hypnobirthing definitely made me think of it positively which helps. It was deffo an unnecessary induction though which is sad
