You know those "extra missions" where you can choose between Jehuty, Jehuty ver, 2, Damaged Jehuty and Naked Jehuty. Yea, noticed that there is an unknown fith option under the Naked Jehuty one. That's the Vic Viper. Although you can also easily get it by cheating, which I did...

@@gsamalot it's for gradius fans. No they don't share the same universe. It's more to do with sharing the same company, Konami. Both games were produced Konami. They always leave easter eggs of previous game titles hidden in a lot games. Including Metal Gear.
Specifically, finding imports with good voice acting was rare. Things where it was written in an english speaking country and not translated later...well, it was SLIGHTLY better but not much.
You clearly haven't listened to the voice acting of Trouble Witches Neo. I assure you, the voice acting there is a millions times worse than the voice acting here.

There is an easter egg during this fight you have to use "distant grab" on Leo and be close to a cliff...
