I've not read the book but after watching a few videos on this subject it seems everyone is obsessed with making the baby sleep....a LOT.

Yeah I don’t know how right this whole thing is. It seems awful to me.

Thanks Christina for a great introduction video! A 2 week old mom here :) I was wondering how to make sure they get a full feed? If they've drained one breast and asleep, do I wake then and put them on the other? I just don't know when they're full!

By keeping them awake you mean eyes open? My baby sucks at a good rhythm but eyes close... should I ‘“wake” him up anyway? Thanks for the great tips

Psychologically following these tips will in the long run develop attachment disorders. There is data to show this

Actually, there’s no data to show this.

I did baby wise for my first son after being pressured at church. He's 18 and has lots of attachment issues. He has been emotionally unstable and detached from us since early childhood. My other 2 i didn't strictly follow babywise. They are fine. I regret what I did to my son. I was told at church if I did not follow the book exactly I would have an ungodly family. By my 2nd child I realized that was not true. But that was after 2 years of regret with my 1st child.

@@ThisHomeschoolHouse research the author of Babywise. His children only call him on holidays and his church kicked him out. I had people say it doesn't matter what happened to the author, the system works. Of course the outcome of the original application matters.

@@ThisHomeschoolHouse there are multiple studies on this topic. It has been shown it Leads to psychiatric issues later in life due to a hard start with no bonding from mom or dad. No bonding with baby = attachment disorder.
