    Great technique and respectable time. I have done the CPAT 7 times and this is about my best time.

      @@trueamerican541 sorry for asking this
      But I just passed yesterday because the guys at the barbershop were discussing about firefighting which then made me go for the coat exam a week later. Can I ask what’s next? Lol I will the same people call me to go to the fire academy? I’ve tried googling and I can’t seem to get the answer to what do I do next.

      @chilout2496 it depends on if you are trying to become a career Firefighter or starting out as a volunteer. If you are looking to volunteer you can contact a local fire department with a volunteer program. They will put you through an academy. If you are wanting to start out as a career Firefighter and don't have a fire science degree you might want to look into colleges with a structural fire science program.

    A few violations and the FE setting was probably too low… but pretty good.

    • @indigofrappuccino5268

      Exactly which violations are you referring to? Also why do you believe the setting was too low?

    • @jameshegeman5660

      @@indigofrappuccino5268. Ladder control was pretty marginal as well as ceiling breach pike pole placement issues. Also you know the FE setting is too low when a candidate does it in 2-3 hits. No untrained person can do that on the proper setting; I don’t care how much “talent” you have. It’s just proof that the setting wasn’t right. (And Yes, I believe that a trained professional athlete - maybe a baseball player or one of those Stihl Timbersports guys - might be able to get down to 4, or even 3, hits on the FE. But not a 19-year-old. Sorry.)

    • @ViperVideo

      It's all on how you hit it. Match that with strength, and it can be done in 3. You don't need to be an athlete.

    • @jameshegeman5660

      @@ViperVideo I agree - Go get a 6’6”, 250# lumberjack who’s been swinging an axe for 20 years, and Yes, then it can be done in 3.

    • @ViperVideo

      @jameshegeman5660 or get a kid who has good hand eye coordination, and it can be done. The same kid that wins prizes at carnivals with the hammer game lol
