In this video, I’m sharing a popular Ghanaian staple made with fermented corn meal and cassava paste, named banku. The hack presented here provides a twist from the typical style, that offers convenience, opportunity to store product at room temperature without spoiling, readily available for use without waiting to thaw prior to use. I also pay homage to my late, dear, friend and sister Aseye Narzar, who was my high school classmate, and college roommate! The idea is entirely hers and I give her all the credit, in hopes her living mom watches this video ❤️❤️❤️ please share, like, subscribe, and turn on the notification bell 🙏🏽
Definitely, learn something new here today. I'll be folding my banku before I store in the freezer and hopefully try the banku mix this summer 😅Thanks for sharing quality contents as always.
This is amazing thanks for teaching us how to prepare our own food. God bless you for not keeping it to yourself. It is nice and well presented. Thanks
Of course, Aseye will never be forgotten ever! She’s always in my heart and God’s memory🙏🏽🙏🏽 yes, we had the best floor and it was certainly fun everyday 🥰🥰
Finally it’s here!! Thank you my sister 🙏🏾❤️ Sankofa y3n kyi oooo😂 y3 daase 🙏🏾 this is a game changer oooo, at least for some of us😁 Aseye Nazzar😥😥 May her soul rest in peace 🙏🏾 Thanks dear 👍🏾❤️
Learnt a lot from this video. Drying the dough really is a great tip! 1. Works perfectly with the Ghanaian weather. 2. You get to save some space in the freezer 3. With the "dumsor" 🤣 frequent power cuts, this will be a great way to store our dough for long. Sister madam! Thank you for this video ❤❤❤❤ Congratulations on 400k Subscribers🙌🙌❤
Thank you so much my dearest Sianorkie! I was thinking about dumsor!😁😁🤗 like really, who’s got time to worry about all that when you have your instant banku mix! Game change di3nts3 🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
This looks so good.Banku and fish was the first meal I was so curious to try in Ghana. I loved it and I am inspired to give this a try. Thanks for sharing with Love.
You're doing well, I am always excited to see what you do next. I've been following you since 2018 and I love the vibes. African food seems so tasty, definitely gonna try making banku. Caribbean posse is in the house!!!

Memories and tears! I miss Aseye and that infectious smile❤️ the maturity and wisdom she was well endowed with! An all round amazing human being! It’s been near 2 decades, yet still feels unreal! Wow, the powdry flour isa great option in terms of preservation. Hmm this is good time old school recipe. The mixture of white and yellow is so beautiful. Wow, I like the cling film therapy; to prevent fungus. Wow, the final product is awesome. Great preservation method. Wow, the banku looks so delicious with the side fish. Well done Sis.
