Do you have a video on OC RAM, checking stability, tuning and timing? I do have my XMP enable, I’m just curious if it’s a stable XMP OC. I have a i9-10900K- Z490 GODLIKE - XMP 4000 ENABLED. I read i9-10900K memory is good at DDR4-2933.
For ram testing first run a quick OCCT Memory test. Set it to "Memory" section, duration to "10 minutes", Memory usage to around 80-90% depending on your capacity (if 16gb of ram set to 80%, if 32gb set to 90%). Set the instruction set to "AVX2" and threads to "Auto". Let it run for those 10 minutes and wait for any errors. If no errors come up to go the more serious test: Go to "CPU" section, duration to "1 hour", Data set to "Large", Mode to "Normal", Load type to "Variable", and because you use Intel the instruction set should probably be "SSE" but once you do a 1 hour test for SSE do another 1 hour test for AVX2 just in case. But the best stability test you're going to get just by using the system daily, playing different games with different loads.
What i find really interesting is you bought a 3090 ti black and got a higher bin than gamersnexus 3090 ti ultra. Looks like theres no point in buying the ultra version over the black with this model. Especially since the black comes with a backplate on this one. I figured it wasn't worth the extra cost for that little overclock when I got the black myself since it's the same cooler but I didn't expect it to actually be higher than the ultra lol

First time I’ve seen someone with 1440p cyberpunk results with ultra preset and ultra Ray Tracing and no DLSS. All other people on TH-cam use DLSS in their benchmarks. I see I get the same results with my 3080 at 1440p as you good to know. No DLSS is important to see what your GPU is capable natively. It’s annoying seeing DLSS quality on during a benchmark lol
I think tbh, we need both DLSS and non-DLSS results. To see how DLSS scales with games and as you say, to see raw performance 🥰👍😇. Honestly, which ever way a reviewer goes, with or without DLSS … you’re going to get sooo many demanding your test the one or the other 😇😅😂
Just picked up a 3080ti FTW3 from Micro Center for 834USD after tax. I feel good about it. Got a feeling the 4000 series are going to have a similar price to performance until a while after launch. Love your content! THNX!
Got a open box EVGA 3080ti XC3 for $746 from microcenter over the weekend lol They had open box 3090ti FTW3 for $950 but it wasnt worth it for me as I had to upgrade my power supply
$1157 OTD right now for that 3080ti. Daaaaamn. I paid like $1500 for my 2080ti B Stock card a year ago and I was damn glad just to be able to get that. I guess I shouldn't be mad I've had a good year with my rig but still.
It's good stuff. I appreciate the spreadsheet, but if we go back to 1 year ago pricing or even 6 months ago, the 3080Ti was going for $1800+ and the 3090s were literally $2500 lol. I'd go with the 3090Ti if you haven't purchased a Card yet, but if you're trying to get a little bit of savings, and a new $1000 monitor just opt for the 3080. The 4,000 series will likely be bonkers considering the leaks make it seem like an Sli configuration running into 2 X16 slots. The price will double at least probably close to 4,000 for the flagship or at the very least $3500 and we will finally see 60fps 8k possible. If you are trying to 40fps 8k, go with the 3090Ti but realize you'll be limited. I play tons of games personally, so even if new triple A titles can't do 60fps 8k, I know I can do it on older titles.
I have the opportunity to buy a sealed EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra for $1050. Should I buy it or just order a 3080 12GB Rox strix for $799 or wait?

Idk if you made a video on the asrock oc formula rx 6900 xt yet but I would seriously appreciate it if you were to put it on water and use more power tool to see how the fastest amd gpu performs!
That new cooler looks to be what we should of had all along. Did I miss it, but, what were the temps like on the new cooler vs the old one and, can you fit the 3090ti cooler onto the other cards?
Even if you'd replace the end of the semtence with 4090 instead of 3090ti id still be in doubts, you'd need one heck of a card to upgrade to considering how well the 3090 already performs, like yea sure 30-40% but what if it's already above your monitors refresh rate by a mile away anyways, for 4k it would be a bet for sure but 1440p and 1080 would almost be out of the equasion unless you truly want the best fps. 3090 was kinda justifiable for 1440p gaming this gen but the next generation will truly make 4k the go to for high end purchases like 4080 and 4090.
I bought 4 evga 3080ti 3 of them hit high clock 2205 at 1100mv (in kombuster software only no gaming) may be high pl or evga pay more to get the quality die

It's mostly if you go above stock/reference TDP, that's 350W for a 3090 / 3080 Ti. I was testing a 3080 Ti Strix for a friend's PC a couple days, 350W vs 450W made almost no difference in FPS. The performance per watt nosedives when you increase it, unless you have some golden binned chip.
@@thecatdaddy1981 In a not to distant future, given the pain on costs of energy either happening now, or in due course, these may become a bit like muscle cars in the 70s. Burn 3x what my whole PC uses just in a behemoth GPU may become untenable unless folks are wealthy....
Power use is my big consideration for now and future card. Like on the 3090ti it can be very undervolted and not lose much performance. The other 3000 series cards will lose far more performance since max volt is what keeps them at top. As for the future, 4000 series cards are going to run at 600 watts so just wow. Seems AMD has far more considerations for the monthly electric bill than nvidia. At 600w you may need to rewire your home or breaker box for the full pc. CPU Power use is already pushing 300 watts so expect that to go up as well.
It was never worth to do so. They are basically identical besides double VRAM in favor for 3090 which doesn’t have an impact on gaming. 3090 is a creators card, it was always a bad value for gaming which is why even Nvidia didn’t position it for gaming even when they revealed the cards 2 years ago. Hold onto the 3080ti until the end of this year when the 4000 series drops and then decide if you wanna blow your cash.
@@thebossmankc10 according to trusted big leakers like Greymon55 we should see them debut Q3 sometime. So probably September-ish for at least a paper launch with actual supply shortly after. Early leaks are showing huge performance increases but upper models might use over 600w alone. Exciting stuff.

@@ChrisB-vb9hh No, not when we're only 5ish months from new a new GPU launch from both nvidia and AMD. You'd only see at most 8-12% max at 1080p with the ti vs non-ti cards. I see I get the same results with my 3080 at 1440p as you good to know. No DLSS is important to see what your GPU is capable natively. It’s annoying seeing DLSS quality on during a benchmark lol
exactly
I think tbh, we need both DLSS and non-DLSS results. To see how DLSS scales with games and as you say, to see raw performance 🥰👍😇. Honestly, which ever way a reviewer goes, with or without DLSS … you’re going to get sooo many demanding your test the one or the other 😇😅😂
Waiting for that 5800x3d review, know jufes gonna OC that badboy
Just picked up a 3080ti FTW3 from Micro Center for 834USD after tax. I feel good about it. Got a feeling the 4000 series are going to have a similar price to performance until a while after launch. Love your content! THNX!
Got a open box EVGA 3080ti XC3 for $746 from microcenter over the weekend lol They had open box 3090ti FTW3 for $950 but it wasnt worth it for me as I had to upgrade my power supply
What about 4080 12GB costing same as 3090 TI? right now some 3090 Tis are same price as some 3080 Tis ..
How did you manage to get 221 FPS @ 4K with 3090ti ???? Is that low settings?
How much organs have u sold. Lol
The gigabyte 3090 ti water cooled is now going for $3200...
Bro you have 13k subscribers lol EVGA is not sending you a specially binned card for a better review
Ty you for this I was planning on getting this and giving my new 3080 fe I just got 2 weeks ago for 699
Good work
My guy, it’s like you got a hair transplant or you dyed your hair so all your thinner hairs are a lot darker it’s like SHEEEEESH! I like the look 👍
Nvidia said it themselves, this is the 3090 TIE.
Is the 3080 12gb worth it over the 3080 10gb for the extra £150-£200?
No, worth 80-100 more at max
I have the opportunity to buy a sealed EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra for $1050. Should I buy it or just order a 3080 12GB Rox strix for $799 or wait?
stay away from EVGA!!! TRUST ME!!!
i have a 6700xt, but ive always preferred nvidia and woud like dlss and ray tracing( i LOVE my single player games, want dem to look pretty lol)..would a 3080 or 3080ti be a good choice?
3080 Ti, you know, F.T.W.(3).
@@Atheist7 noice...now i dunno if i wait for the 4XXX series..although they will probably sell out super quick so who knows if ill even be able to get one :D
@@NatePlayzGamez 40x0 series presents a big problem.
You need a new PSU, most likely.
A 4090 nVidia card really needs a PCIe 5.0 motherboard to not bottleneck potential performance.
NEW CPU to not bottleneck potential performance.
AT LEAST 1 gen 5.0 NVMe M.2 SSD to not bottleneck.
DDR5 system RAM.... for performance.
64 GB of system RAM at least.... performance related.
AND, that AWESOME card, treated right, should REALLY be connected to a 4K monitor, and make that one that gets to 144 Hz is probably around $1,100 US, at least....
Not saying "don't do it", mind you.
@@Atheist7 dam..I had heard about the crazy power consumption but not all the other ramifications lol...maybe I will go for that 3080ti after all 😂🤣
@@NatePlayzGamez In case you didn't get the little joke I made up above.
The nVidia 3080 Ti FTW3 made by EVGA is the video card that I highly recommend. You can look around on the internet and see that it's popular.
3090 isnt obsolete at all. The facts being the entire 30 series range is on the brink of being outdated when the 40 series arrives. So that comment is null and void . Avoid the 3090 ti its a waste of money for little increase over the 3090.
Hmmm I have a 3080 12gb. I was thinking about returning it for a 3090, but I am now thinking of maybe a 3080ti instead, or should I just keep my 3080 12gb ( EVGA FTW Ultra )
its fucking best.. don't sell .. im gonna upgrade from 3070 to this 3080 12gb
And what did you do ?
So glad I waited a bit and scored one of those 3080 ti's ftw3 ultra for $540 , Im set now til 4090s reach $700 in 2025 q1
Now I understand why on my 3080 I was able to over clock it to 2250mhz stable, I got additional 8 to 10 fps at 4K ultra settings , it could be 12fps but I’m solid sure was at least 8fps added on
I just subscribed to a tier 4 discord frame chasers but don’t know how to access discord can any one help
I really cant get past 2025mhz stable for daily on my ftw3 3090, tried kp vbios etc, its under water, bad bin? Memory clocks a lot tho
Idk if you made a video on the asrock oc formula rx 6900 xt yet but I would seriously appreciate it if you were to put it on water and use more power tool to see how the fastest amd gpu performs!
I already have a 2900mhz xtxh gaming Z trio. It’s garbage.
That new cooler looks to be what we should of had all along.
Did I miss it, but, what were the temps like on the new cooler vs the old one and, can you fit the 3090ti cooler onto the other cards?
You can see the gpu temps in the warzone side by side, cooler does not fit
@@FrameChasers ahh nice, cheers and a shame, but makes sense.
Clifs: no point in going above a 3080ti because performance 3080ti and above is just silicon lottery. Money is better spent in cpu/memory performance.
What do u mean
1080ti user just watching for lols
>Be 3090 owner
>Get asked "Are you gonna upgrade to the 3090 Ti?"
My asus Thor 2 1000w comes with a 12 pin. Branches off into two 6 pins though
I bought 4 evga 3080ti 3 of them hit high clock 2205 at 1100mv (in kombuster software only no gaming) may be high pl or evga pay more to get the quality die
I try to avoid evga GPUs now, had a 1080 ftw, 2070 ftw and now a 3080/3080 ti ftw3 and all were the worst binned cores I've had so far, tried a gigabyte 3080 gaming oc and it clocked much better than evgas version
My assumption is they reserve the good bins for reviewers and overclockers and the trash bins go out to customers
My gigabyte rtx 3080 xtreme oc is terrible. Have to undervolt and underclock it. Otherwise the factory OC bios keep crashing in games
@@The3hunnaa in the nividia control panel in the 3d settings in power management mode do you have it set to maximum performance by any chance? Because i had similar issues but once i switched that setting back to normal it has been fine. Hope this helps.
What's this bin stuff
@@pamelaclark400 it’s on normal mode. What I noticed through msi afterburner is when the voltage keeps jumping up and down and the clock speed gets any higher then 2025. Warzone crashes. Other games take longer to crash but it basically crashes every game. Framechasers actually made a video about this issue and so I lock the voltage and underclock it.
@@The3hunnaa i have a very similar problem, i have evga 3090 ti ftw and games keep crashing, freezing and i get kernel 141 error, sometimes pc freezes and sometimes game just crashes after freezing, any ideas or help guys ?
235 FPS in WZ? wtf, did you have everything on 0? I got a 3080 with a 3950x and 32gb of 3600 ram (everything overclocked) and I get 150-180 with medium textures.
I assume you were running DLSS on performance and everything elase on 0
Go buy a 5800X3D, thank me later
Even compared to the Sapphire and Asrock 6900XT, its all extremlly close and in some cases tie or lose
Shortages are over. I just find the high end cards monsterous in terms of power usage :/
The power usage for performance is so ridiculously bad
@@AdmV0rl0n get a job or two lol not that hard if you care about power usage get a console and be happy to game simple as that Lmaooooo
I like the name 3090 Rev.2 better
hell yeah. now im going out and getting a 3090 ti
So this is telling me it's not worth it to upgrade my 3080ti to a 3090 for gaming?
It was never worth to do so. They are basically identical besides double VRAM in favor for 3090 which doesn’t have an impact on gaming. 3090 is a creators card, it was always a bad value for gaming which is why even Nvidia didn’t position it for gaming even when they revealed the cards 2 years ago. Hold onto the 3080ti until the end of this year when the 4000 series drops and then decide if you wanna blow your cash.
Thanks for the info do we know when the 40 series cards might come out?
@@thebossmankc10 according to trusted big leakers like Greymon55 we should see them debut Q3 sometime. So probably September-ish for at least a paper launch with actual supply shortly after. Early leaks are showing huge performance increases but upper models might use over 600w alone. Exciting stuff.
Good deal I better wait then! Got a way bigger psu then needed when I built my computer so I could upgrade when better stuff came out.
@@thebossmankc10 I had to replace my psu as well my old 1000w psu didn't have the 3 8 pin for the 3080ti that I just got

Great video, I'm still glad to have been fortunate enough to get a 3090 founders for retail. But the 12GB 3080 is the one to get especially at $1000 great card for competitive and 4k gamers.
I just bought the RTX 3080 12GB FTW3 model and I’m thinking about returning it for the Ti model, is it worth the extra $300?
@@ChrisB-vb9hh No, not when we're only 5ish months from new a new GPU launch from both nvidia and AMD. You'd only see at most 8-12% max at 1080p with the ti vs non-ti cards. Wait for a generational improvement later this year, I'd rather upgrade from my 3090 and see 40+% improvements. 10% isn't even worth discussing.
