I'm a sucker for underdog/vulnerable characters, and I feel like Noelle's arc is going to be a straight punch to the gut like Undertale was... You know, the sweetest ones always suffer the most. @@imveryangryitsnotbutter when I first played chapter 2 I didn’t really like noelle. I wanted to but her only personality trait seemed to be “nice” and that was it. On my second play through I went to go talk with the towns folk and as I was going through that I went to go talk with noelles dad and judging by his condition and how noelles mother is toward her and a sister who is presumably dead I’m starting to feel bad for her. I honestly just saw her as a cliche one note character but now I’m starting to see the bigger picture.
@@superadambomb5834 There's a really interesting video psychoanalyzing Noelle surrounding how she seems to be suffering from learned helplessness and I think it really highlights who she is as a person and the struggles she's going through

0:44 I love how you had the piano play on beat instead of swinging it for this Fallen Down part, letting it build up at a tempo that almost feels too fast, before letting the violins take over and put so much emotion into those swings.

The best part about this song imo is that it fits with either route, with normal you have a girl who doesn't know her path and needs help to find it. And in Snowgrave you have the opposite, a girl who learns what her path is, and is already too far in to stop herself besides purposefully trying to leave the trail... Only to end up going to a far darker path.
This is one of the most beautiful covers I heard, and this track is one of my favorites of the chapter. Thanks for doing this

I think the reason Noelle has so much trouble coping with trouble in the Cyber World is because of how she was raised. You gotta think about it. Her entire life kinda revolves around the idea of Christmas, a time to always be happy and not cautious or paranoid about things. Now that her dad is in the hospital, her mom is always busy working as the mayor of Hometown, the passing of her sister, and now the escapades of the Cyber World, it's hitting her like a diesel train. She doesn't know how to assimilate to this foreign world that is forming around her, and has almost no one to run to for help.
Wow, that is…heartbreaking. In my fanfic, Dess is alive, but their mother’s strictness and Dess’ refusal to be her mother’s perfect daughter forced the mayor to painfully separate them after Dess ran away. However, they are reunited after Noelle suffers a breakdown and Dess and her partners sneak into the house to try to help Noelle
And in part of my story, after visiting a therapist, Noelle reveals to her friends, along with Toriel and Alphys, that she got diagnosed with depression after everything that happened with her family and the cyber world and the weight she had to carry along with that. I can relate to Noelle because I have a bad habit of being extremely harsh on myself all through the ages of 10 through 17. While I do not have full on depression, I sometimes have depressive tendencies related to all the pressure and judgment I put on myself when in reality, no one else is judging me, but…me. This song makes me cry tears of realization. While my family loves me, it’s very hard for me to love myself. Almost like an addiction to giving yourself pain and hatred knowing it serves no good purpose

Lost Girl is surely in my Top 3 of Deltarune Ch 2 songs, it's so beautiful and emotional, it's hard even to describe it with words, just pure gold.
