The fact that Dess is missing is almost worse than her being dead; her family has no closure. They have no idea if she's truly gone or if she's still alive out there. And if she IS alive, she could be suffering for all they know. Poor Noelle doesn't have her big sister anymore. She's STILL trying desperately to find her, even after all these years. Her and Kris spending more time together recently is kind of poetic, but tragic at the same time; Kris has also been apart from their big brother for years now. However, with Asriel coming home, that might just stir something within her. KRIS gets to have _their_ older sibling return. But Noelle? She might NEVER get to see _her_ older sibling again. Why is it _ASRIEL_ gets to come back while _DECEMBER_ doesn’t? And remember, we don’t know the exact cause of Dess’s disappearance. There’s always that chance that Asriel may have accidentally/unintentionally done something that led to it. Or Kris. Heck, maybe even Noelle herself. Maybe one thing led to another, and things went out of their control. All four of them could be partially responsible. However, perhaps Noelle starts to see it differently; maybe it WAS the Dreemurrs’ fault. And now look at them, getting a happy ending. Where’s _HER_ happy ending? Perhaps she starts thinking about the Dark World. Everything was happy there. And any Lightner can create one, right..? She could fix everything. She could recreate her old life as an entire world of its own. _If she could just live in a fantasy, she wouldn’t have to hurt anymore…_ Edit: grammatical stuff
The way the violin is isolated and slowly fades out in the end is incredibly eerie considering dess's disappearance and the cries for help hidden in the code of the game,
This [[comic book cover]] is so so so so so so so so [[sweet treats]] it’s giving my [[heart locket]] more than [[recommended amount]] of [[sugar rush]] and now I’m going [[firework]] this feels so [[life expectancy is going to drop in the next few minutes, it feels like my life is going to end in like 10 minutes from now and I don’t know why AH!]]
I love how... alive this sounds, lacking any better words. It feels like it's being played to us. I feel like I'm being sat down, and Dess is playing to me. it's. so good. and it's heartbreaking.
This sounds so cool! It has such a charming vibe to it. When I close my eyes and listen to it, I'm filled with a feeling of warmth. Thank you so much for making this :)
Such a underrated cover, it deserves so much attention!! I love how beautiful this cover is and it shows so much emotion, it really makes my body get goosebumps. Great job!! :))
I love how you can very faintly see the pathway to the bunker in the background of this video. Beautiful cover by the way! I do hope we can see Noelle reunite with Dess in a future chapter. Edit: So we all know that Dess is represented by a guitar, right? Well, what if Noelle was represented by a violin? It would make sense, since the guitar starts alone, symbolizing Dess as the older sister, then the violin comes in, symbolizing Noelle as the younger sister. Noelle and Dess live their lives together for the short moment where the violin and guitar duet. Then, near the end, the guitar slowly fades away, and all that's left is the violin, symbolizing Dess' disappearance. Kinda like Deltarune's version of Final Duet. (Omg imagine if Kris, Dess, and Noelle played a song together)
What is it with the internet and assuming indie games always have to have kid that died before the actual plot in them? Even when the game almost outright tells you "This person isn't dead, but they're still out there somewhere"
she is practically dead for all intensive purposes(at the moment). no one knows where she is and no one has heard from her in years, she doesnt have to be dead for her dissappearance to hold narrative weight. most people dont assume shes dead, they assume shes the voice speaking in the unused dialog likely stuck in the depths.

* In the darkness, you feel... something. Is it a voice, or an urge?
* The phrase "Find her" soundlessly echoes in your ears.
[❤] "I will."
I have never wanted something to happen more in a video game than for the Holidays to find Dess
I haven't played the violin seriously in so long, this may be worth it.
Good luck
@@eduardotejeris3506 100% go for it!!!

I do hope in a future chapter (maybe 5 or 6) we find and bring Dess back, if she's still alive somewhere.
