Hey there! If you aren’t familiar with my animations then you’re gonna wanna check out the animation, “What If Noelle Lost Her Way?”, first. Like the canon Snowgrave route in-game, this animation assumes you’re already familiar with the way the story would “normally” go. Furthermore, it’s best watched without the context of the description or other comments, for fear of spoilers. If you choose to do so, that’s fine, there’ll be additional context given in the description after the credits! Last thing, BIG thanks to @KoolEvro, @CyberneticPinkeye, and @Deltadoofus (on Twitter) each for their help! Plz check all of their stuff out, they’re all so talented and deserve more recognition!
read the description and, (spoiler alert) I feel like this is perfect, it could be canon, the amount of edgy is fine tbh, like, the ending part is perfect with the edge, through, does the world actually end? what happens next, then?
@@dylanzlol7293 like ralsei said, the world won't be completely lost if the roaring occurs. There will be 3 heroes (Susie, Kris, and Ralsei) that will seal the fountains to restore balance.
@@dylanzlol7293 like ralsei said, the world won't be completely lost if the roaring occurs. There will be 3 heroes (Susie, Kris, and Ralsei) that will seal the fountains to restore balance.
"Kris, were you not just in the bathroom a moment ago. Something must be wrong. Let me get the first aid kit." "Oh, you were very quick in there. Never mind." "Kris, why have you stood up from your seat? Have I really been gone that long." Yeah, my ADHD ass would not survive in this household with how often I get up and walk around for no reason.
The scene where the player makes Kris pour body spray into Asgore's tea reminds me of the tapes from Undertale. Specifically about the one where Asriel and Chara made Asgore very sick by accidentally putting buttercups instead of cups of butter into their baking. Especially with the information that one of the ingredients used to make the body spray IS buttercups. What a chilling inclusion and neat subtle reference.
For me that was the hardest part to watch. Just this wholesome father suddenly becoming deathly ill after what should've been a nice moment. It hits harder than everything else just because of how attached the story makes you get to him and then that happens
The fact that sans probably knew he was giving Susie an expired coupon just for her to distance herself from kris, for him to have that "conversation" with kris just makes it pretty clear that sans knows and suspects that kris was the culprit in the disappearance of Berdly
Well as the Dreemurrs established, multiple people in town already started suspecting Kris and Susie of Berdly’s disappearance. I guess you could call the conversation between them Sans’ “judgement”, just to see how those suspicions hold up.
To be fair, Sans has always this... Weird (No pun intended) Aura on him. Maybe he doesn't believe that Kris and Susie did it. Maybe he knows the player is the culprit. His monologue about how "people don't change" yeah.
@@SpriterMikeit almost felt as if sans was talking to the player knowing how hes acknowledged them before and it felt like he was calling them out for doing simular horrific actions to what they did in undertale, just my take though
Honestly. I could totally see Toby going that dark. Remember. Most of the main characters are children. And he knows the Undertale fandom has grown up... I could see Toby Foxx.... Going a bit darker as the chapters progress. All I know is this. If a Deltarune Chapter drops. And I see that rating go from T to M for mature. It'll be time to pray for our characters...
@@InspirationForTheHandicapped For chapter 2 Out of 7. I imagine the snow grave route we see in chapter 2 is just the beginning of a much larger evil route that you can choose to play out over the course of future chapters. You know, when they release in about 2047.
I really wanted to capture that aspect about Susie’s character! That between Chapters 1 & 2 she’s the only character so far who’s been able to completely resist the player’s actions if she feels the need to. She truly seems like the only character who’d logically confront the player if they keep making sinister choices!
This is one of the most horrific depictions of Snowgrave I’ve seen. I honestly felt physically uneasy and kind of sick when we made Susie freeze her hands, and seeing the desperation in Kris trying to tell Noelle that it wasn’t them and the *amount* of opportunities Kris took to speak and try to give the player as many chances to turn back really stood out to me. I just am feeling a ton of emotions right now. Side note, if I didn’t misinterpret it- The implication that Undyne found Berdly’s body just adds another layer to this tragedy cake. Beautiful animation!
Speaking of, I hope that SpriterMike makes this an interactive animation, allowing us to try and turn back or at least try and convince Noelle that there's a more sinister force (the player) at work.
@@semajniomet981 uh... that would be like trying to commit murder, and then telling the victim to run away and tell the police before you do it because youre going to kill them The way you word it makes it sound like we are kris and "the player" is someone else??? are you forgetting... the player... is... the player??? us????
It isn't _just_ that Undyne found Berdly's Body... She outright stated that Berdly's corpse started to decay after it was stashed in the Server room, and a lot of the residents had inhaled the dust from his corpse.
@@Victor-056 So it's not enough that he was murdered by his best friend, his dust was also defiled and will most likely never be scattered on his favorite object, the equivalent of never being buried. That's so fucking dark, I love it.
I love how Kris's emotions were portrayed in this. Kris was very visibly shaken when Sans mentioned how the person responsible for the disappearances could be watching them right now as they know about the player's presence and how they are always watching. It also showed how scared Kris was of the whole situation through the dialogue options options. And the implication that Noelle killed her dad to stop his suffering was chilling (ha ha fooni). Also tbh when Noelle manifested that ice spike I thought for a sec that she was gonna attack Kris. Betcha Gaster's feeling real stupid when he found out the player found a loop hole in his golden rule of the world. Even though they can't make choices for themselves they can make someone else's choices for them.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was actually kinda a last minute inclusion to portray Kris as scared as they were. I figured it’d make some of the scenes even more haunting for anyone that takes a closer look at the dialogue!
God, this animation was so terrifying yet satisfying to watch… Seeing Kris just stand there right in front of Noelle, telling her the truth about the Dark World…the beginning of the Roaring… Absolutely astonishing work Mike. Thank you for sending chills down my spine in the most awesome way possible. 👏🏻👏🏻✨
I can not express the sick, sick feeling in my stomach when Kris was forced to pour the conditioner into Asgore's tea. Both Kris and Asgore had already gone through enough, but this is too much for Kris to just straight up kill their father in such a slow, painful death.
@@helo6824 You won't actually die if you ingest body spray. At worst,it can put you into a coma. Other effects include nausea, vomiting, splurred speech, trouble with balance, lack of energy, rashes, constantly sore throat, and overall, you act as if you're drunk
The implication of Noelle putting Rudy out of his misery and not feeling anything is horrifying. Then telling her how to create a dark fountain in hopes she could fix everything but in reality, it will turn out so much worse.
"LOVE is an acronym for Level of Violence. The more you gain ,the more you distance yourself from others" Noelle wasnt able to feel nothing after killing Rudy.Similar thing happens in UT with Frisk. In waterfall if you Kick the dummy while Frisk has low LOVE,they feel bad for it,however if they have high LOVE ...they enjoy making the dummy suffer.I can only think the same happened with Noelle after killing Berdly and Rudy. She didnt feel anything bad, didnt drop a tear. *She just felt stronger*
@@numbskull_justashinyfuecoco she probably feeled strange but the love make you felt good when you kill someone does that mean that noelle felt good when she killed berdly?
I haven't seen the first one of this but damn does this feel like chapter 5 of deltarunes snowgrave route. Not overly edgy or nostalgia bait, just to the point, everyone is largely in character here. I like how Undyne and Sans act as brief callbacks to the genocide route of Undertale while not taking more time than needed or overstaying their welcoming or wanking their importance, kind of like Toby's way of saying "You went through this already, it wasn't what you wanted, the message I had sent was right there....yet you haven't learned anything"
Woah, this actually managed to terrify me, disturbed me. The Roaring... It gave me the same feel as if I'm playing the actual game. Now I'm scared what could actually happen in the real game especially with the weird route and stuff. Great work, and also to the people who helped you do this. I know a lot of dedication is put into this. This is the best DELTARUNE animation I have seen so far. Thank you for your awesome work!
This. Is. Perfect. Really disturbing, especially what happened to Asgore. I 'like' how the busting down the gate had Susie get her hands stuck there. It was really unexpected and i kinda thought she's gonna stay like that and Kris would just leave but luckily it quickly changed to normal (before it got screwed again....)
Literally amazing. I had expected it to end with something like, Noelle's ALMOST going to come clean to everyone about what happened, only for her to get hit with a couple "proceed", and not be able to. But the moment that Dark Truth began playing, literally gave me chills. I notice at the end, Noelle and Kris are still in their light world outfits, even though they should technically be in a Dark World there. Unless they're in some sort of 'eye of the storm' where things aren't quite so crushingly dark. OOooooooOOOrrr if The Roaring brings about a Darkness in which the Lightners are totally powerless within it. Oh, that could be SUCH a cool distinction between a canon route and the Snowgrave route though! Like, in the regular route, The Roaring would happen (though presumably not caused by Noelle), the party would be powerless but something something power of friendship they'd be able to keep fighting. But in the Snowgrave route, you've ensured that Noelle got plenty strong enough that she can use magic in the Light World or Dark World, so you set about cracking skulls and freezing titans without any struggle. OR OR OR! The continuation of the Snowgrave route through this part of the game has Noelle strong enough to fight in the Roaring-Dark World, but not strong enough to kill the Titans. So you'd go around the Roaring-Dark World, and start eliminating townsfolk, trying to get her Lv. high enough that she can injure the Titans. The game still ends with you stopping the Roaring and saving the world, but... hardly anyone in Hometown is left to see it.
I mean.. technically the game ended the same way so the "one ending" thing is valid. I strongly believe that that's what's gonna happen; after Chapter 2 initiated Weird, the game will differ drastically from the standard/Recruiter route (besides maybe Chapter 3 considering Kris, Susie and probs Tori wake up in a dark world so no Noelle), but will end with the same situation from a technical standpoint Edit: lolol "something something power of friendship"
Thank you! I like to think that during The Roaring, The Light World and Dark World begin to mix right before their destruction. That’s why you see elements of the Light World, like with Kris & Noelle’s outfit, here! I really am curious to see how the official game’s gonna treat the concept!
The way I always saw it was that Snowgrave leaves you strong enough to oppose the Titans, but it's too late - everyone's gone by the time you defeat them, perhaps even Kris themselves. You stop The Roaring, but your SOUL left to wander the empty Town alone. No SAVE points, no NPCs, no dialogue. Just you and an empty, lifeless Town. Was it worth it? I see it as sort of like a monkey's paw wish, you avoid the inevitable ending only to get nothing.
I have no words to express how absolutely astonished I am at how excellently this was made. I felt tense, shocked, and downright befuddled all at the same time. Going into this and seeing all the trailers, I KNEW something was gonna be up, given how this is the "Lost Her Way" scenario but post-Snowgrave. But what I didn't expect was, and I'm spacing this out for spoiler protection.... FOR NOELLE TO CAUSE THE ROARING. That's all I have to say. Hell, that's all I CAN say. I'm too speechless to say anything else.
Tysm! It was sort of a challenge, but still really fun getting to write these characters and their arcs. Susie being one of my favorite characters to constantly write! I always loved how much she bounced off other characters depending on who she’s talking to!
Man, this looks like the actual deltarune ending, im so confused, I love it. Just feels nostalgic when I have never seen something like that. It feels so real and something that would happen
Thank you! So much work went into it looking like the actual game! It’s not a perfect recreation, but I am satisfied with the end result and I’m happy you seem to feel the same way!
Man this is so amazing!! I can already see some changes compared to the normal route. Like for example how this time we actually stay with Asgore for dinner instead of sneaking out when going in the bathroom, but we don't eat the food Asgore gives us anyway and we just... empty the spray that we got from the bathroom... into Asgore's... cup. Yeah we're very evil just like in the Snowgrave route. And what's even more scarier is that Kris is literally shivered to death from what we've done. Getting rid of Asgore in such a way just to get out of the house. I also like the minor details like how Alphys this time doesn't show up and how this time we don't meet up with Susie just until we meet her trying to convince Sans to not tell anyone she is sneaking out to also search for Noelle. All of this is so crazy. And Undyne's reaction after seeing what has happened to... him is just what I expected honestly. It's also terrifying how Sans also acts strange torwards us, somewhat catching up to what we've done possibly. And man that ending... truly terrifying
This is REALLY good and honestly scarier than I thought it'd be. Well done, I am curious what would've happened if 'we'/ The Player picked 'It wasn't me' when Susie asked?
personally i imagine kris would scream it repeatedly in some kind of breakdown, and susie would panic at kris's reaction, probably offering to stay with them and talk it out. this might, in turn, make noelle come out from behind the grave and tell the truth. it'd be incredibly morbid and nobody would be happy with the situation, but i think they'd all promise to find a way to fix this together.
While I hadn’t written anything for if the route was aborted, it would probably just end on some sort of Neutral route like the base game. One where Noelle never gets found and Kris and Susie give up for the night. However that happens tho is up to interpretation lol
@@SpriterMike Hm ok ok. I do like Brian's thoughts how it would go down considerably seeing Susie knows something up, Kris is very on edge with everything, as well with Noelles trauma.
Maybe it’s obvious but I LOVE the detail of poisoning tea parallel with Chara… you made me gasp when I saw that shit Sans’s speech is just UGH OUCH, SANS JUST TALK TO ME IK YOURE TALKING TO THE PLAYER “Get out” … “Help me” “It wasn’t me”
One thing about Toby Fox's storylines are that they all have the same ending result for the ending of each chapter. With it leaving people left with questions like: "Jesus, that was scary!", "What's going to happen next?", or the one that i had: "What the hell...?" If I am watching a fan-made animation, and I give a reaction that I would give to an official Toby Fox story, then I know for a fact, that the creator knows what they are doing. Because about 21 minutes into the animation, I forgot it was fan-made, and thought it was official. This is by far... the best animation I have seen in my LIFE. Toby Fox HAS to see this, for the amount of effort that was put into it, and millions of more people. Heck, even BILLIONS of people should watch this. I just want to say congratulations, and I am so glad that I have been subbed to you before you even showed spoilers for the animation. If this is going to be a series, then it might as well be one of the best series ever on TH-cam. Congratulations! THIS IS AMAZING!!!
i like how this went with dialouge it felt eerie but not dumping edgyness over everything. also I just like how sans was handled he didn't have to retread on undertale and make sans a final boss saying stuff like how the soul is bad. Plus the sudden changes with the choices to proceed is very clever!
This is fucked up... First, Kris poisoned Asgore to death... Undyne finds out where Berdly is... Sussie gets frostbit by Noelle's magic... Noelle killed her own dad and thought nothing of it... Kris spoke to Noelle the truth about their world - a better world. Like the Knight would do to his subjects to drive them insane... And Noelle unleashed the roaring...
warning; this comment spoils the entire animation so uh don't read it if you haven't watched it yet i think this is the only piece of fandom content to make me feel the same way i felt when playing the game. no, actually, it made me feel better. or worse i guess. this is even more sadistic than the snowgrave route. to force susie to keep trying, to force kris to poison their own father, to call out to noelle as she begs you to just stop, and to force the roaring to happen. when susie suggested splitting up from kris it genuinely broke my heart, since kris and susie have such a strong friendship which was ruined in this route solely due to the selfish actions of the player. and idk if i was reading this wrong, but its implied that noelle killed rudy?? and he called her name, the same thing the player does when they need her to kill an enemy. that's such a devastating but cool twist. and the whole asgore scene was just...so chilling. i gasped seeing him drink the tea and it hurt to see him still drink it. and just...the whole sequence is so cool. you could just escape through the window again, but you deliberately make the choice to poison asgore. i love how it follows the whole 'specific set of actions' thing you need to do for snowgrave. there are no mistakes, and there's plenty of options to back out. OH and sans. i love that you didn't overplay or underplay his role. he knows something's up with kris, but doesn't overstep. he doesn't flash a blue eye and give a bad time, he just gives a threat and warns them to stay safe out there. and the ending sequence. ughhh. it's just so chilling. it really does feel like the end of the world. with the whole town panicking, toriel realizing kris is gone, and noelle and kris alone in the dark. not even susie's there this time. sorry for such a lengthy comment, this is just such a cool concept. it follows toby's writing style so incredibly well without being overly edgy or downplaying your actions. if you told me toby released this as a sneak peek for a future chapter, i wouldn't even question it. just...phenomenal work
Thank you so much! This concept was such a break away from the themes of my previous animation, so a lot of the mold for this one had to change in order to fit in line of the real game’s Snowgrave route! Oh, and don’t worry about long comments, I’m guilty about of the same thing myself (as you can see lmao)
Thanks! I never expected something as simple as a fan animation could turn practically into a feature length movie. I think only a few UT/DR animations ever have accomplished that lol. I personally can’t wait to see how much fan content evolves and improves as we play more chapters in the future!
I agree. This is safe to say one of the most cool fan interpretations of the roaring, snowgrave and all of the characters honestly They capture the personality of the ones in deltarune which I think some animations lack
this is going to hurt to see, well here I go edit: finished watching and oh, my, god W H A T THAT ENDING WAS sO EPIC and it hurts to see what the player did here, you did a really great job into animating this
This was just... wow man, I can't even put it into words, the original one was already depressing enough with Rudy's death and Noelle dissapearing and stuff, but this, jeez, the ending with the world being covered in darkness, Toriel being in despair because of Asgore and Kris and one of the Titans appearing sent me so much chills!, and the music was extremely good too!, I loved that remix of It's Raining Somewhere Else!, you and everyone else involved did a beautiful work!, you should REALLY have more subscribers!
Thank you! No matter how many subscribers I have, I’m just really happy I at least have an audience to view my stuff and comment on it! It really does make all the hard work worth it!
This was an amazing animation. I'd really like to see you show off parts where the 'player' can abort the route. Really looking forward to what you come out with next.
Thanks! If the route did happen to be aborted, it would probably just end on some sort of Neutral route. One where Noelle never gets found and Kris and Susie give up for the night.
I assume the "Tell her" (Or the "Show her") Option is what truly locks the player into the route, that and Noelle's dialouge afterward, imply that "Kris" tells her how to open a dark fountain.@@rihard999
Holy FREAK is this good. This is SO GOOD! Just, gah, all of it! Oh man, when Susie asks Kris directly what they and Noelle did in the Dark World, and the two dialogue options are "Nothing" and "It wasn't me It wasn't me It wasn't me"... oh man, it felt like the second one was Kris trying so so so hard to *reach* Susie, to tell her that they don't know what's happening to them, but this isn't *them*, to please *help them*. But the player in this scenario... just ice cold. Doesn't let Kris say that. That moment, that ripped my heart out! And Susie's disappointment, her sadness, her frustration at not feeling like she can trust Kris... Guh, I'm tearing up! 😭
The Roaring is perfect it really feels like it's end of the world, not like it's time for an epic boss fight like it done in other fan mades, in here it just the end, the bad end with no hope.
This was captivating. And a tad disturbing. ... But my mind can't help but wonder what would have happened if "Kris" chose "Show her". I am sure it would probably just become a situation like Kris instead taking out their knife and creating the Fountain, but I suppose Noelle's reaction would be far less subdued to see something like that. It's arguably in the moment "Kris" chooses to "tell her" that her mind completely breaks. Though maybe not. If it was already gone, i guess she'd just find a way to brokenly rationalize why Kris would do this and come to the same conclusion, predictable or less interesting as that may be. Ooor she could totally go blade runner on Kris just to end ONE thing that caused her so much pain. After all... They did make her stronger~...
Yeah, if the player chose “Show Her”, it’d force Kris to make the Dark Fountain, not without a little resistance though! I’m happy to see you found it captivating!
@@SpriterMike I will also give props to the first person to show us how bad a Titan would be. Seeing one come to life was chilling. Like... okay. Does anyone honestly think the Fun Gang could so much as tickle something as giant and all-threatening as a Roaring Titan? This just shows how hopelessly outrageous a task that would be. That possibly lesser titan just OHKO'd an entire town by walking. WALKING. Talk about a situation where you don't wanna EVER fight the foreshadowed super bad! ... also, is it safe to agree Kris and Noelle probs just died there?
@Kris yeah, and i don't think Befriending them takes away from the fact that they're uh... LIVING. BREATHING. DEATH THAT WALKS. They kill not because they necessarily will to. They kill merely via their existence. Realistically, if the knight wins, which i guess in this CURRENT case ultimately doesn't matter WHO even is anymore, you're not going to be able to stop what comes next. Scary thought.
@@WorldOfMinds and then in Undertale time line we fight omega flowey and Asriel, 2 gods and win... I understand tho... Sealing the fountain maybe wouldn't help since I think the titan would remain, so they should deafet it first, but. Like, Jevil has 5000 hp, how much could a titan have?
This was a masterpiece, genuinely, I loved every second of it. One part in particular I think you captured perfectly is Susie. I've seen a lot of "snowgrave chapter 1 susie edition" videos and I've never been too fond of them because I just don't think it works with chapter 1 susie. But, man, the way you handled her in this was perfect, you can coax Susie into giving in to her not so well thought out plan, but you'll never be able to control her like you do Noelle, the balance was perfect.
Thanks! I always liked that aspect of Susie’s character. If Toby continues this sort of theme for any further Snowgrave related plot lines, it wouldn’t surprise me if it sets up Susie as the main opposition to the player, considering we never truly have control over her actions!
This was absolutely incredible, it's very rare we get fan content that deals with these darker ideas in a way that retains the original feel of the game and makes the characters feel like themselves but this was executed amazingly. Far too many details for me to cover in one comment but I enjoyed every second of it, the ending gave me geniune chills. Great work on this!
Thanks! Ngl, I REALLY didn’t expect this whole thing to end up 40+ minutes long. All because every side character included had to have their own special scene, which ended up taking a lot of time. But hey, if people say those scenes were effective then I can’t complain!
Oh my LORD. This was incredible! It really felt like this could be canon. Everyone was perfectly in character, the animation was incredible, the storyline felt perfect…you really outdid yourself! I wonder if the Darkners have time to check out what’s going on, or if they just turn to stone immediately… This was truly chilling (pun very much intended). I loved it. I can tell I’ll be rewatching this a lot.
Thx! According to Ralsei, the Darkners turn to stone slowly one by one. So they’d probably be alive just long enough to know what’s happening and realize it’s already too late…
absolutely incredible, this felt so true to the snowgrave route, the ending felt so utterly bleak in a way that's comparable to undertale's genocide ending. seeing susie leave kris behind left a hollow feeling in my gut, and the moment right before with that dialog choice gave me so many chills, it was executed flawlessly. the sequence with the player directing kris to push susie mercilessly to keep trying to get the gate open was also so well done, it felt true to susie's character that she wouldn't be as easily manipulated as noelle would. and noelle's breakdown at the end hit so goddamn close to home for me. you did such an amazing job here, thank you for putting this together. i'm very glad the other version exists.
Thank you so much! Making this vid required a HUGE different approach from my previous animation! It is nice to know the other version exists when this one ended up being so bleak lmao
What else can I except I got chills. Especially the way Kris was forced to get rid of Asgore to sneak out of the house(side note:the body spray had buttercup essence, quite similar to how Chara and Asriel accidentally poisoned Asgore. *But it was no accident this time* ). Noelle putting her own dad out of his misery. And also that ending... Edit 1: 20:13 and 25:23 0_0 Edit 2 : I just now realized that Noelle no longer has a character portrait. Dunno how I missed it the 1st time, perhaps cuz I was very absorbed in this
Tbh, I could actually continue this story if I wanted to, I have a neat idea for how this Snowgrave route could wrap up. But it’s just ideas for now, nothing concrete!
my god, this was incredible the reimplementation of the icee’s body spray was pretty interesting, and a detail i especially liked was integrating flashback into “it’s gonna rain”. it was incredibly faithful to toby’s style. great job :)!
Thank you! I specifically asked Evro if he could include that leitmotif into his cover, it ended up fitting really well and I appreciate his help for it!
BRO THAT WAS CRAZY EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD IT GAVE ME CHILLS THEY LITERALLY DESTROYED THE WORLD I FREAKED OUT WHEN THEY BASICALLY POISONED ASGORE JUST TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE THIS IS AMAZING
This is by far one of, if not THE BEST interpretations of the story of Deltarune so far. Everything was absolutely stellar, all the characters felt so real and true to the game, the writing was phenomenal, literally sent chills down my spine. Thank you so much for making this, outstanding work.
This has to be one of the most bone chilling and well written takes on the snowgrave router, thanks You for it HOLY SHIT I JUST SAW THE ORIGINAL VIDEO AND OH MY GOD IT WAS FUCKING PERFECT, THE CONTRAST ON ROUTES, ITS AWESOME
"Angel's Heaven releasing the Titans, making the darkners turned into a stone. Left with the lightners, lost in the dark for eternity.... Will the Delta Warriors ending up the chaos of the Titans?" Noelle, picturing as the "Angel" really makes me terrified and thus, creating a dark fountain with her determination, gained from getting stronger from us... Also, Susie's hand getting freeze is no good either... This whole animation is awesome and also gives flashback about Undertale when Kris is with sans. Although it happens too fast but I swear if this is real then in later chapters then.... I'll cry
Honestly it's SORTA like sans knows Kris did it, the way he just said that the culprit (the player) could be listening right now It's just the same old sans we knew before deltarune, judgemental and really good at reading people Or does he maybe know that he is in some game just like in undertale...?
Thanks for actually showing the start of the roaring rather than givin us a cliffhanger Also that roaring scene was better than any film i've ever watched... SO CREEPY
Jesus, this animation is so shocking, this is the best Deltarune animation so far. All the characters emotions fells so real, especially Noelle. Amazing job!!
So, she was really so determined to save everyone, that... When she thought it would save everyone... All it took was one strike. One. Single. Strike. One strike into the earth... A N D T H E W O R L D W A S L O S T .
edgy stuff highlights (video spoilers obviously): 12:02 Asgore being poisoned 2: electric bongaloo 16:40 sans deltarune murder was cancelled sorry guys :c 26:46 Susie gets convinced into touching ice instead of walking around the trees at the sides which would be the logical solution 35:10 aw hell nah Noel deltaruined became an emo 38:30 death free trial
This animation was awesome! I do believe the weird route would play a role to get the actual good ending of the game, however, not to a murderous intent. I say this soly because the Twisted Sword that requires the thorn ring. One should seek the weird routes, get the materials needed for an item and abort them inmediatly. Or else... The Roaring. I predict that multiple times during the story if we go overboard with the Weird Route, multiple scenes showing the Roaring could be possible.
I.. Wow... This is surprisingly underrated. This needs more attention for the sheer quality of this animation. I watched it over dinner and wow, it felt like a movie, that's how awesome it was!
Damn, this was just amazing. I honestly love how you kept everyone in character throughout this whole thing, and it's quite painful to see everyone fall apart in their own ways. The whole "Asgore buttercup" thing was pretty uncomfortable to watch, but in the good, what'll-happen sort of way. And the freaking Roaring cutscene was so eerie; it really did feel like a bad ending to Deltarune! I guess to conclude this comment, this animation did a wonderful job at feeling like the conclusion to the Weird Route, and it's getting me excited for how the route will go in the game itself.
Oh my god that ending was fantastic. The writing, the dialogues, EVERYTHING is excellent. I can spend all day talking about the details and how good it all is.
another masterpiece to add to the pile holy [[Shingles!!]] this was a masterpiece and its gotten me WAY more hyped for the future of deltarune Great job to everyone involved in this that was amazing
this is amazing, kudos to you and all but what would happen if you picked “it wasn’t me”? the fact that it’s repeated four times makes it feel like the real kris is calling out in desperation
Thank you so much! I’m definitely not used to making feature length animations, especially ones that need to have good pacing too! I had to rewatch & rewrite these scenes over and over again to avoid making errors! Seems like all the work payed off!
Wasn't able to comment earlier, but well done! I hope this doesn't get buried in the comments, but this is so good. The amount of time and effort that went into this is insane. Everything about this is so well made. The tension surrounding the whole situation is awesome. I love the part with sans especially. Having Noelle cause the roaring is really cool, and it also makes a lot of sense. I like the interactions with Susie at the graveyard, it really gives off a creepy vibe. Overall, this is outstanding! You are very underrated.
Thx! It was really difficult building scenes of tension with different characters without having them all be too similar. I went back and forth on Sans’ dialogue especially lol.
So stunning... I absolutely froze when the titan arrived, it was the right level of terrifying! I guess you can say all your hard work... chilled me to the bone!
Great animation, great characterization, and great writing in general, like it actually took place in the game! And relating to the description, the moments Kris tries to break free when speaking to Susie is chilling, along with Sans' speech and Undyne finding Berdley's corpse. I think this is a perfect mix of story and dark, not edgy at all and fits. P.S. again relating to the description, choosing a subtle sociopathy with Noelle fits as that condition is specifically caused by environmental factors, and they can form attachments
BROTHER, MY BROTHER IN CHRIST WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? WHY IS THIS SO EPIC? WHY AM I GETRING HYPED? HELP Honestly, this is one of the best fanmade cutscenes in the world on my opinion, damn.
Beyond everything else amazing about this, I really love how the "it's raining somewhere else" cover slips into Gaster's theme right before Sans threatens us. Such a nice touch
The choices with kris in the graveyard gave me the same awful feelings and goosebumps that playing snowgrave gave me, where I had to pause at each dialogue choice to freak out. Really amazing job writing this my gosh
man I remember just after chapter 1 when people were thinkin kris would just genocide route the only real things that came outa that were the first editon of the deltarune sans fight and I guess kinda vs susie and ralsei now we got this high quality fanmade post-snowgrave storyline
Ok, this was the most amazing and terrifying animation that i have ever seen from deltarune, the way that Kris had to poison asgore to get rid of him, the was that sans is talking to not Kris, he is talking to us, the player (if this was official). Everything is just... different, this represents how bad was the snowgrave route to noelle and now, in this timeline, well, its... I dont even know how to explain It anymore, but, its amazing
This was so terrifying. I wonder if we're gonna see something similar in the game. Weird route in chapter 2 was already disturbing, but I feel we're not ready for what may happen because of it in later chapters. Amazing animation. I'm looking forward to your future videos. Keep up the great work and as always stay determined!
This is by far the most meticulously crafted fan work I have seen so far. Everything from writing to animation is superb. You all have real talent, great job! Looking forward to your next videos
Plz check all of their stuff out, they’re all so talented and deserve more recognition!
read the description and, (spoiler alert)
I feel like this is perfect, it could be canon, the amount of edgy is fine tbh, like, the ending part is perfect with the edge, through, does the world actually end? what happens next, then?

@@dantesdiscoinfernolol Yes, I feel really bad for him in both Undertale and Deltarune

Similar to Undertale.
Kris poisoning their own dad is really dark even for snowgrave.
But dark enough, eh? =)
It'll be time to pray for our characters...

it aint even kris doing it, its us we even had the option to not poisoning it
i like how susie resists kris when kris said "try harder", its pretty canon considering how susie fights in chapter 1

Susie: "that guy looks like he couldn't hurt a fly"
Player inside Kris: you would be surprised how little you know. that guy has BLASTERS!
Woah, this actually managed to terrify me, disturbed me. The Roaring... It gave me the same feel as if I'm playing the actual game. @@Totally_sane_TCOAAL_enjoyer yeah but that was a while ago
This. Is.
I strongly believe that that's what's gonna happen; after Chapter 2 initiated Weird, the game will differ drastically from the standard/Recruiter route (besides maybe Chapter 3 considering Kris, Susie and probs Tori wake up in a dark world so no Noelle), but will end with the same situation from a technical standpoint
Edit: lolol "something something power of friendship"
@@crocokuo one way for that seems to be the snowgrave route counting as a fucking gameover based on the "and so their world was cover in darkness."
I just realized that if the roaring were to happen, everyone in hometown would have to get dark world outfits and thats... damn

Thank you! Writing all the changes in these characters’ arcs was truly blast and I’m just happy people seem impressed with the end result!
As if you did Genocide in Undertale.

One thing about Toby Fox's storylines are that they all have the same ending result for the ending of each chapter. With it leaving people left with questions like: "Jesus, that was scary!", "What's going to happen next?",
or the one that i had: "What the hell...?"
If I am watching a fan-made animation, and I give a reaction that I would give to an official Toby Fox story, then I know for a fact, that the creator knows what they are doing. Because about 21 minutes into the animation, I forgot it was fan-made, and thought it was official.

warning; this comment spoils the entire animation so uh don't read it if you haven't watched it yet
i think this is the only piece of fandom content to make me feel the same way i felt when playing the game. no, actually, it made me feel better. or worse i guess. this is even more sadistic than the snowgrave route. to force susie to keep trying, to force kris to poison their own father, to call out to noelle as she begs you to just stop, and to force the roaring to happen. when susie suggested splitting up from kris it genuinely broke my heart, since kris and susie have such a strong friendship which was ruined in this route solely due to the selfish actions of the player. and idk if i was reading this wrong, but its implied that noelle killed rudy?? and he called her name, the same thing the player does when they need her to kill an enemy. that's such a devastating but cool twist. and the whole asgore scene was just...so chilling. i gasped seeing him drink the tea and it hurt to see him still drink it. and just...the whole sequence is so cool. you could just escape through the window again, but you deliberately make the choice to poison asgore. i love how it follows the whole 'specific set of actions' thing you need to do for snowgrave. there are no mistakes, and there's plenty of options to back out.

But the player in this scenario... just ice cold. Doesn't let Kris say that. That moment, that ripped my heart out! And Susie's disappointment, her sadness, her frustration at not feeling like she can trust Kris... Guh, I'm tearing up! 😭
Thanks! Susie means a lot to Kris, it only makes sense that they’d try their hardest to reach out to her out of all people.

I love every part of this it feels so wrong what kris does to asgore and susan telling kris that we arent the boss is great!
Thank you!
Jesus christ that was both amazing and terrifying.
The amount of effort it takes to animate a full 40+ minute animation as well, god. Amazing work.
I wonder if the Darkners have time to check out what’s going on, or if they just turn to stone immediately…
This was truly chilling (pun very much intended). I loved it. I can tell I’ll be rewatching this a lot.
I hope you find a cool name
Thx! According to Ralsei, the Darkners turn to stone slowly one by one. So they’d probably be alive just long enough to know what’s happening and realize it’s already too late…
@@SpriterMike that's kind of sad
@@SpriterMike uhm..
Kris is near that fountain... So couldn't them just absorb the darkness or something?
absolutely incredible, this felt so true to the snowgrave route, the ending felt so utterly bleak in a way that's comparable to undertale's genocide ending. seeing susie leave kris behind left a hollow feeling in my gut, and the moment right before with that dialog choice gave me so many chills, it was executed flawlessly. the sequence with the player directing kris to push susie mercilessly to keep trying to get the gate open was also so well done, it felt true to susie's character that she wouldn't be as easily manipulated as noelle would. and noelle's breakdown at the end hit so goddamn close to home for me. you did such an amazing job here, thank you for putting this together. i'm very glad the other version exists.
Edit 1: 20:13 and 25:23 0_0
Edit 2 : I just now realized that Noelle no longer has a character portrait. Dunno how I missed it the 1st time, perhaps cuz I was very absorbed in this
Glad I could give you chills lmao
Poor Asgore
The shocking part is that this doesn't lead to anything in the future.
Everything just ends right here.
Tbh, I could actually continue this story if I wanted to, I have a neat idea for how this Snowgrave route could wrap up. But it’s just ideas for now, nothing concrete!
@@SpriterMike Oh? 👀 my mistake.
my god, this was incredible
the reimplementation of the icee’s body spray was pretty interesting, and a detail i especially liked was integrating flashback into “it’s gonna rain”. it was incredibly faithful to toby’s style. great job :)!
Thank you! I specifically asked Evro if he could include that leitmotif into his cover, it ended up fitting really well and I appreciate his help for it!
BRO THAT WAS CRAZY
EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD IT GAVE ME CHILLS
THEY LITERALLY DESTROYED THE WORLD
I FREAKED OUT WHEN THEY BASICALLY POISONED ASGORE JUST TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE
THIS IS AMAZING
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is by far one of, if not THE BEST interpretations of the story of Deltarune so far. Everything was absolutely stellar, all the characters felt so real and true to the game, the writing was phenomenal, literally sent chills down my spine. Thank you so much for making this, outstanding work.
Oh my goodness i cannot wait for this, seeing the teasers I am scared on what is going to happen with Noelle and Kris
This has to be one of the most bone chilling and well written takes on the snowgrave router, thanks You for it
HOLY SHIT I JUST SAW THE ORIGINAL VIDEO AND OH MY GOD IT WAS FUCKING PERFECT, THE CONTRAST ON ROUTES, ITS AWESOME
"Angel's Heaven releasing the Titans, making the darkners turned into a stone. Left with the lightners, lost in the dark for eternity.... Will the Delta Warriors ending up the chaos of the Titans?"
Noelle, picturing as the "Angel" really makes me terrified and thus, creating a dark fountain with her determination, gained from getting stronger from us... Also, Susie's hand getting freeze is no good either...
This whole animation is awesome and also gives flashback about Undertale when Kris is with sans. Although it happens too fast but I swear if this is real then in later chapters then.... I'll cry
Bro brought on the roaring with only one dark fountain 💀
Holy cow dude! This is amazing! It really has deltarune vibes, and worked so well! Good job to everyone who worked on this!
Thanks! I agree, everyone that helped me was so talented! They really helped elevate some of these scenes to be a good as they were!
I loved this. What an impact could be done to a person through an event that isn't even real.
Thx!
The buttercup in the spray is such a nice touch, i love it
THIS IS SO BONECHILLING AND SO GOOD AND WHAT THE OH MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE I HAVE NO WORDS ,, IT WAS TERRIFYING TO SEE THIS UNFOLD
Honestly it's SORTA like sans knows Kris did it, the way he just said that the culprit (the player) could be listening right now
It's just the same old sans we knew before deltarune, judgemental and really good at reading people
Or does he maybe know that he is in some game just like in undertale...?
THE MOST WELL-MADE FANIMATION I'VE SEEN
IF YOU UPLOADED THIS SAYING WITH WAS THE CHAPTER 6 WEIRD ROUTE, EVERYONE WOULD BELIEVE IT
Thanks for actually showing the start of the roaring rather than givin us a cliffhanger
Also that roaring scene was better than any film i've ever watched... SO CREEPY
I cannot put into words how amazing this animation is. This was terrifying
Thanks!
Jesus, this animation is so shocking, this is the best Deltarune animation so far. All the characters emotions fells so real, especially Noelle. Amazing job!!
Thank you!!
So, she was really so determined to save everyone, that... When she thought it would save everyone... All it took was one strike. One. Single. Strike. One strike into the earth... A N D T H E W O R L D W A S L O S T .
Too bad she didn't hear Ralsei's speech.
@@reaper7238 not in this timeline, no
It’s a shame really, not much of an “Angel’s Heaven” now is it? lol
One single strike with all the determination in the world built up into it…
the sans dialogue "that's the thing about some people. they never change" at 19:09 hit the hardest for me
Sans didn't check for system_information_963, but he didn't need to.
edgy stuff highlights (video spoilers obviously):
12:02 Asgore being poisoned 2: electric bongaloo
16:40 sans deltarune murder was cancelled sorry guys :c
26:46 Susie gets convinced into touching ice instead of walking around the trees at the sides which would be the logical solution
35:10 aw hell nah Noel deltaruined became an emo
38:30 death free trial
when sans was talking i felt like this was a pacifist run then reset to genocide "someone you trusted"
bro if im honest, you are a monster in doing these, they are SO good lmao
This animation was awesome!
I do believe the weird route would play a role to get the actual good ending of the game, however, not to a murderous intent.
I say this soly because the Twisted Sword that requires the thorn ring.
One should seek the weird routes, get the materials needed for an item and abort them inmediatly.
Or else... The Roaring.
I predict that multiple times during the story if we go overboard with the Weird Route, multiple scenes showing the Roaring could be possible.
Bro, I'm over here replaying the game over and over when I could be watchin this
Thank you so much!
@@SpriterMike you're welcome
another masterpiece to add to the pile holy [[Shingles!!]]
this was a masterpiece and its gotten me WAY more hyped for the future of deltarune
Great job to everyone involved in this that was amazing
Tysm!
This is just _so damn different_ than in "What if Noelle lost her way"!
this is amazing, kudos to you and all
but what would happen if you picked “it wasn’t me”?
the fact that it’s repeated four times makes it feel like the real kris is calling out in desperation
Thank you so much! I’m definitely not used to making feature length animations, especially ones that need to have good pacing too! I had to rewatch & rewrite these scenes over and over again to avoid making errors! Seems like all the work payed off!
This is so cool, you can tell how much work went into it, and now I genuinely want to see more :)
Glad you appreciate the hard work, it was a lot!
I would love to see the “it wasn’t me it wasn’t me it wasn’t me it wasn’t me” option
Holy crap I have no words...
oh, wait, I do!
THIS WAS SO FREAKING AWESOME DUDE I LOVE IT
Wasn't able to comment earlier, but well done!
*ba dum tss*
(thank you tho lol)
Great animation, great characterization, and great writing in general, like it actually took place in the game! And relating to the description, the moments Kris tries to break free when speaking to Susie is chilling, along with Sans' speech and Undyne finding Berdley's corpse. I think this is a perfect mix of story and dark, not edgy at all and fits.
P.S. again relating to the description, choosing a subtle sociopathy with Noelle fits as that condition is specifically caused by environmental factors, and they can form attachments
I love the paralel to Undertale in 41:50
Makes it all feel like a cycle somehow
When I read that body spray had BUTTERCUP essence, I realized what will happen SO quickly....
Please make more of these! These two were so good it genuinely felt like Toby made them.
BROTHER, MY BROTHER IN CHRIST
WHY IS THIS SO GOOD?
WHY IS THIS SO EPIC?
WHY AM I GETRING HYPED?
HELP
Honestly, this is one of the best fanmade cutscenes in the world on my opinion, damn.
4:30 the space in-between asgore's legs looks like a blue bottle lmao
In Undertale, the buttercups are framed as a prank, but in this case using the prior knowledge of the game the Player just poisons Asgore.
Wow this was extremely well made, the emotion and dialogue really pulled so much weight. Amazing work.
Thanks!
man I remember just after chapter 1 when people were thinkin kris would just genocide route
the only real things that came outa that were the first editon of the deltarune sans fight and I guess kinda vs susie and ralsei
now we got this high quality fanmade post-snowgrave storyline
Ok, this was the most amazing and terrifying animation that i have ever seen from deltarune, the way that Kris had to poison asgore to get rid of him, the was that sans is talking to not Kris, he is talking to us, the player (if this was official).
Everything is just... different, this represents how bad was the snowgrave route to noelle and now, in this timeline, well, its...
I dont even know how to explain It anymore, but, its amazing
THIS ANIMATION WAS SO COOL I HOPE A PT2 OR SEQUEL COMES OUT!
Thanks, I’m working on it lol!
@@SpriterMike I'm glad to hear that!
Now i want to see what would've happened if
"IT WASN'T ME
IT WASN'T ME
IT WASN'T ME
IT WASN'T ME
IT WASN'T ME"
were picked instead
The ending cutscene was so good.
12:15 love this bit, Kris knowing what you did and powerless to say anything about it
This is by far the most meticulously crafted fan work I have seen so far. Everything from writing to animation is superb. You all have real talent, great job! Looking forward to your next videos
Tysm!
