I’m awaiting my delivery of this gun today, it will be my first pcp air rifle as well. However I will still love my four Gamo swarms magazine fed break barrels as well .
Let me know how your rifle works out! Point I've had a couple of the gamo swarms and I liked them too. This Origin is definitely an upgrade. I think you will come to love it way more!
Just got mine on Friday. Put a axeon 4×16×44 new etched glass mil dot. Love it took two pigeons at 40 yards and one at 50 today. Hits guard and extremely accurate. I shoot .22 15.89 hades
Hey, you should invest into a bipod to keep your gun steady on those longer range shots. Personally I have a Atlas AccuShot bipod and that keeps my gun super steady and allows me to take shots up to 90 yards with 21 grain slugs. If you want to put a overkill scope on it like me then put the ATN X-sight 4k Pro 5-20x
Thank you! The bipod is definitely a must! For some reason I didn’t have it with me this day and I had to shoot off hand. And I just purchased my overkill scope! I had the ATN but I went with the Pulsar Digex C50… that will be in a video soon!!
I have a sytong ht60 on my origin ..and tbh your's do nothing more at 70 to 100 yard's so your point is????21 grain slugs ??try the 217 23 grain H&N slugs in the origin 50 yard's they do whole in whole..ATN X-sight 4k Pro 5-20x is just bragging...No overkill ..All good day scope's will do well on the origin.. th-cam.com/video/4A9ruyVPboc/w-d-xo.html
@@therrienmichael08 it really is hard to cock! And for my kids it was impossible… the PCP is great and they can concentrate on learning to shoot and not worrying about messing with the rifle. Sometime soon I have the opportunity to do another some pest eradication… so more to come!
I was just curious i a have a break barrel and i would not call it lethal past 20 on a squirrel. You can hear it hit but no penetration. .177 cal though
That's pretty common for a break barrel, especially if you don't use good pellets. But the Origin is shooting at 1100 FPS... that's pretty fast for the 18gr pellets I'm using. It's a laserbeam at 25 yards. It opens up a bit at 50 yards but still within what I would call lethal accuracy.
Good question! www.side-shot.com Been using it for a while and it's awesome! They have one for Go Pros as well but it requires some modification to the camera and a special lense. It was easier to use my phone
Hammer spring??Fill pressure?Because it is not regulated?Hammer 180 degrees back from full anti clock wise .2900 psi. it shoot like a dream on my rifle with hades .22cal ..wich where your setting's for the clip???Because the barracuda's extreem are very heavy pellet's..To shoot them proper you need good power..Slightly above 40 joule.
Awesome Video. I was looking at this same Air Rifle today. In your opinion do you think this Rifle would be capable of cleanly taking small Pigs with Head shots at say 30 - 40 yards ?
I’m awaiting the delivery today for this gun , it will be my first pcp as well. However I still will love my four Gamo swarm multi shot break barrels too .
@@omegaoutdoors6482 how long does it take to pump up? I’m thinking of this or the _Air Venturi Avenger_ for a starter PCP. Can you add a suppressor? Great video sounded like you were offhand shooting. Also, that’s a great scope… I have the UTG 3-9x40 True Hunter on my Hatsan 125 Vortex Camo in .22 and it’s probably the best scope you can get for around $110 IMO. I heard the Origin is hand pump friendly wonder what the shot count is and is it regulated?
Thanks for watching! Yes, I do shoot offhand but I'm going to need a shooting stick, just for the sake of the video. Also, I have found that 100 pumps is a good place. That takes about 5-10 minutes and usually gets about 3100 PSI in the tank. With that amount I've shot 30 rounds with no issues. Yes, it is regulated and each shot uses 50-100 PSI.
Hi JC, thanks for the video. I just picked this up at Academy yesterday and will likely make a video of it as well especially being my first PCP. I invite you to stop by my channel as it has some similar content as yours and you may enjoy it. I loved the through scope shots, the back ground music, and the info on the gun. It looks like your on the Gulf Coast based on the sugar white sands in your intro video. Keep up the videos, they look good.
Thank you so much! I will definitely take a look at your content! My only regret is that I'm not full time into creating content yet and I don't have as much time to make videos as I would like. But I hink you are really going to like this PCP rifle! I've had almost every Break Barrel on the market and this one tops them all hands down. Good luck and have fun!
@@omegaoutdoors6482 I retired mid-year 2020 and that has allowed me to create more content. I don't do it daily, but I try to get a video up once a week. When I shoot video I try to get enough topics or items in for five or six videos at one time. That's with the exception of hunting videos. That is either a good hunt, some wildlife footage, or a bust. I'm looking forward to getting the PCP out after this rain moves through.

Trouble is they are so squirrely...
I am fine with the pump.
Love mine.
They are very squirrely. I used a Benjamin break barrel for years… this was just an upgrade!

For offhand shooting. great job!!!!
Thank you! I need to use a shooting stick or a bipod next time!
Good video. I just got my orgin this week
My hand pump didn't last very long, i went for an electric compressor after about a month
Awesome video 👍🏻 but maybe a bipod should help stabilize your shots 👌🏻
I thought about that too... since I was running around I thought the bipod would weigh me down. I'll try it for next time. thanks for watching!
@@omegaoutdoors6482 No problem, I enjoy your content thanks!
Go withe the gamo swarm 10x gen 31. Makes these pcp garbage look like a paint ball bun
You have trouble keeping the scope steady
I was shooting offhand. It looks worse than it really is. I'll have to use a shooting stick the next time, for the sake of the video.
Have any idea where you could find spare magazines for the Origin?

How is it ? I’m thinking of getting one
Great review.
Thank you!
Love your videos
Thank you! Wish I had more time to make more…
how loud would you say this rifle is?
Do you like the pump that came with it?
I do, actually! It's not that hard to use and it does a good job. I would say about 100-130 pumps will get me to 3000psi. About 30 shots
Good shooting, I suggest a bipod and or shooting sticks.
Yeah I think I'll do the stick next time! I actually had one but I was running around and I didn't even think about it LOL
Thanks for the vid, and your time,, Yes it is light,, great for us old weaker folk,,,, Keep videos coming,,,
Awesome video. You did a great job. Subscribed.
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
you should try a Terminador A-Tac Stock on the Origin.
I’ll look into that… never heard of it. Thank you!
Squirrel Pot Pie 🥧
You need a rest brother
Yeah I do LOL
I got one for my other shoot. Will be posted soon!
I would say a stan stick. In that way you wouldn't jump all over.
I totally agree! Thanks for watching
That was dope you squirrel slayer. You should do a follow up on cleaning and cooking those little yummy tree rats.
It's on the list!! Definitely will do that just for you!
no shame in using a bipod old sport, at 50 yd it's still inside a squirrel's eye... anyway, thanks for your review.
I definitely will do that on the next one! Thanks for watching!
Get...... A......... Bipod...... hahaha
Yeah... I'll definitely use one next time! Thanks for watching!

I don't think I've ever shot it passed 50 yards. I would say in the 15-35 yard range is where I'm at. But I know I can shoot at 50 accurately.
