Great work on the Origin .22 cal. I have done the same 25 yard testing on the Origin with most of the Crosman .22 cal. pellets at 25 yards. With all the same type of lead going through the Origin, I found some much different 10 shot group results at 25 yards with no sorting. The Crosman Domed 14.3 was a dime sized group, while the 14.4 copper was a nickel sized group. The 14.3 Hollow Point, Piranhas, and Destroyers were also a nickel sized group with one flyer or pull by me for each group.
12,500 Crosman Hollow points through my Origin. Owned 18 months. No issues. Yet. But it's coming. I tried some AA 16gr last week. They didn't group any better than the Crosman. About the same. Half inch or so at 35 yards. I'm glad my Origin does good with the Crosman. They're almost 4x cheaper than premium pellets.
Hey Rick, thanks for another great vid. I’m still on my honeymoon with my Origin .22- my first PCP. What a great air gun and very backyard friendly. Mine seems to like the JSB 15.89’s. I’m getting dime-sized 5 shot groups at 25 yards and 4 mags before topping off. Very consistent with what your results show here. Keep up the great work! ✌️
The 21.14 H&N baracuda's shoot fantastic out of my Origin. I just wish you hadn't adjusted for elevation on some of those, they weren't off far enough to not show a good 10 shot group. Thanks for the video.
It took about 50 strokes of the pump to get back up to 3600psi after shooting 4 mags. The hand pump is nice and works great. I still bought a compressor though.
Maybe it depends on the suppressor? The barrel shroud on mine has a cap(and small suppressor?) that screws right off, and I easily threaded a Buck Rail suppressor in there, which also goes in far enough to snugly cover the barrel for a short distance. I think it might have also slightly improved the accuracy.
This is off topic but I have to ask, in case anyone knows. All through highschool, in a different era obviously, I shot for my school's "rifle team". But it bugs me to no end that I can't remember what that class of competition was called. We shot these exact same targets with .22lr, prone with shooting jacket, glove, sling, and iron sights. Rear diopter and hooded front circle. Can anybody tell me what that class of competition is called? It actually pains me almost as much to recall that I was in the top ten in my state when I had to quite, as is does that I can't even recall the name for what I was doing🤦
Hey there. It’s not regulated in the traditional way. There is a “booster” for lack of a better definition, that compresses the air chamber. This helps maintain a more equal pressure as the volume decreases. Very cool tech. Cheers Rick
What size scope mounts does it take as in width. I see some rings say 11mm and some say 22mm wide. I looked at umarex website but of course it doesn't say.
you will need to order it locally.. it's not something that someone can export to you. You can try to get sonething from PyramydAir.com but at last check India (not the US) limited you to .177 only. Cheers AGW
Replacement probes are available. Call Umarex and if that does not work, then the Seneca Aspen probe should work. The guns are made by the same manufacturer. www.pyramydair.com/product/seneca-aspen-fill-probe?a=9036 Cheers Rick
26 yards is the sweet spot for a gun like this. It's the top of the trajectory arc. This is where everyone should have theirs zeroed in. Everything before and after is going to be using the mil dots. Mine is flat(enough) between 15 and 40 yards on the zero then 55 on the first dot 65 on 2nd dot, 75 on the 3rd etc... Chair Gun is a great app to use to figure out where to sight in your gun and get this info.
Hammer spring???????TBH if i dont have a hammer spring on fill's etc etc ..this say's not allot.Hammer spring 180 degrees ore 360 degree's from full hammer spring????Glad you say it is not sience rofl..

Yep

Easy and any time everything
What rifle rest do you use?
Is the barrel threaded to put.on a suppresor?
No you need a adapter

4 position indoor, 4 position gallery, NRA Smallbore indoors 4 position. These are how we referred to it. Not sure what your team called it.
I want one but I’m not sure if I should get a .22 or a .25.
Hey Rick how's it going? Hey is the umarex Origin in this video regulated or not regulated? What is the difference?

@@AirGunWeb thanks
when you are doing groups you are not supposed to adjust the scope or change where you are aiming.
Hi guys

The rail is a dual rail design.. it will use either 11mm dovetail OR weaver / Picatinny mounts.

Really hate watchong adjustment of point of impact after one or two shots. Why not shoot one or two off video and adjust impact ready for filming.
