I’ve been playing Pokémon Sword and Shield for 48 hours. I’m still on Route 1. I’m playing Pokémon wrong. Why am I doing this to myself?

Actually, due to some programing error, its more common to find square shinies than normal shinies
(The mistake being that the ratios of finding both ((15/16 normal 1/16 square)) Are exchanged/become the opposite when encountering a pokemon)

I mean, in USUM I had to/could global-trade to get a klink, all you had in that was stuff like bulbasaur, squirtle, dratini etc. It's about time GF started purging them, I mean, why would you want a mareep when you can this.... not-mareep-sheep-mon, and klink.

The sad thing is, I've seen exactly this scenario before. I had a friend who was adamant about starting Sun/Moon with a shiny Litten. Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon came out, they still never got that shiny litten. The Let's Go games came out, they finally gave up on shiny hunting litten.

With that said, I’ve found only two random shiny Pokémon in other games since 2001.
I've only had 1 legit shiny in 2014 a shiny whismur in pokemon ruby. My one and only. Except pogo
I found a shiny tentacool while doing a water-type only Nuzlocke of Alpha Sapphire. At least it was conveniently timed.
For me it's better,but more cruel. In all ofll my favorite generations, I have zero Shiny. Crystal ? The Red Gyarados don't count (well, I hunted for the Mystery Egg, but still...)
Emerald ? Nope.
Gen 5, despite me playing through every game with each Starters. Nada. (Again, still counting the ones that aren't 100% shinies like Gible and Haxorus)
But ORAS, my least favorite Pokemon games ? I have so many shinies, I actually don't even care anymore when I meet one. (Because DexNav).
