I don't know man, I'm looking at that list and it strikes me as rather noteworthy that, a) bugs are less edible than dirt, and b) grass is less edible than DARKNESS. I work overnights, if I knew I could be eating shadows this whole time I would have saved a bunch of money on car insurance.
The Dark type is called 悪 Aku in Japanese, which translates to "Evil". They are not really darkness or shadows, although both words are often assocciated with being evil.

Fun fact, because we wash our vegetables we are now somewhat deficient on vitamin b12 (although it's a larger problem if you don't eat meat, which contains some), so while bugs are certainly more edible than dirt, you can't strictly count it out. Also grass might be worse for you than literally nothing, depending on circumstances.

I love all his content. But Unraveled is something I miss deeply.
The whole ending speech about how unraveled isn’t just “a lot of research into things that have very little meaning” was just so Brian could justify his job to his mom.

I think what Brian doesn't get is that 90% of why we're watching isn't for the answer to these insane questions but because Brian is such a charismatic person that he makes anything he talks about interesting and fun.

This is 100% true. I’ve never played or bothered to learn anything about Zelda, Skyrim, Castlevania, Mega Man, Mortal Kombat, Fallout, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Souls, any Kojima game, Fire Emblem, Halo or Crash Bandicoot and I’ll be perfectly honest, I probably never will. But this is still one of the most entertaining and unendingly hilarious series’ I’ve ever watched. And it is all because of Brian and his beautifully chaotic personality.

I can't remember where i first saw this sentiment but i think about it a lot: when fans say that they don't care what you put out and they'd watch whatever as long as it's you and would watch unedited/cut footage, they mean it as a compliment but it can read to the artist like they do not care about the artistry you put into the work, and they are only interested in consuming something about you that you have little to no control over (like personality, voice, looks, etc).
When you put the most consumable part of yourself on display and people are still hungry for the scraps you left on the cutting board... how can you ever feel like you did enough?

@@user-ev5gj8xe2b I know, it's just hard, at least partially because I feel like you can tell Polygon has been struggling with the pandemic and I'm worried that losing this show in thier lineup won't help. Also, I was excited to see what crazy things Brian might do with the show after the Covid panic had died down, and now I never will. But I totally agree with you. Anything that outlives its creator's passion quickly becomes a shadow of its former self, especially something as high-energy and personality-centered as Unraveled. I just hope Polygon is able to come out the other side of this pandemic still making content that they enjoy making and we enjoy watching.

I think the calorie vs kilo-calorie thing is partly to confuse on how many calories a food will actually give you. A lot of "zero calorie" foods/drinks will have SOME caloric value, but what they mean is that it has less than 1000 cal/less than 1kcal. What makes people feel better - being told that their health drink has 0kcal but like 300 calories, or being told that it has ZERO calories based on this new definition of what a calorie is? Same goes for most foods - 370 calories sounds way better than 370 kilocalories (which translates as 370000 calories). 370kcals is a decent meal btw, it's just that people are going to be confused and misled when it's written as if the value is a thousand times weaker than it is.

Also humans are Normal/Psychic types that can only learn psychic type moves after leveling up. Ever wonder where they come from? What rigorous training or enlightenment they need to harness the abilities of their mind? It's just walking out into a field with a kitchen knife and farming for xp.

I love this series so much. I'm not going to say i don't miss it, but it's best seeing Brian doing what he prefer in his channel and Polygon following along with their own things.
I want people to appreciate that every time he turns to another camera, it's actually the same camera and he's cut to a take where he's originally facing the wall.

The most edible pokemon would be more like which pokemon you could eat more of, you couldn't eat a large percentage of an onxi, only really the eyes, but you could eat all of a ponytar including the hooves

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since Unraveled ended. Still one of the best series on TH-cam and worth an occasional binge rewatch

My actual take on this situation is that I'm glad for the folks leaving Polygon because they don't pay an acceptable wage for the area. It sucks to see so many good series' go, though, and I'm even still sad that we'll never get another Gill and Gilbert with a Frank Advice segment. I really appreciated the dynamic between those three.

All y'all are wrong. He wasn't cursed by satan or possessed by a demon. BDG is in fact a god of chaos or mischief something akin to Loki, or Anansi, or some form of fae. It's nonsense. I hate how you could make a joke pokedex, blend it with the real ones, show it to someone with no Pokemon knowledge, and they would probably only guess the joke ones about 50% of the time. Plus if we are supposed to be helping make a pokedex, what exactly are we doing if they already have these existential and arbitrary facts stored in a book?
