one cleaning trick that I use is sometimes I put a dryer sheet in my vaccum filter, so as I'm vaccuming up then it spreads a nice fragrance throughout the room.
I really like these ladies, they bring home some firm truths but deliver it in a kind and non-abrasive way. They don't make the people feel lower than they already do.
the after pictures are always so lovely. so much better than american shows. i can't quite figure out why. probably because it's not over-designed. show rooms are pretty but i don't know if i'd want to live in one.
I just don't see how you would feel clean after taking a shower when your house is that bad. People should take pride in what they have and use things to their full potential. It's sad that they end up this way because it's usually depression that gets them there, but I find that cleaning makes me happier. It makes me feel that I've done something that will keep me, my boyfriend and my cats healthy and happy.
@TheGoodVillager Im from Australia but my Father is British and it is common to have your washing machine in the kitchen in England and it is also common in modern Australian apartments where space is an issue. Carpet in the bathroom is an old fashioned British trend but not in modern homes
i love the things that they use like white vinigar and salt and oils, i use javex and mister clean among alot of other chemicals,as long as the house is clean and smells good
I bought a used Coach handbag off ebay years ago and the inside smelled of cigarette smoke. I sprayed pure Vodka in it and it was the only thing that got the smell out. :)
I have an efficiency apartment (I think in the UK it's a bedsitter) and though a small place it's a challenge to keep it clean but I won't let myself go downhill. I'm also working on becoming a minimalist; another challenge! Along with neatness I want safety. I'll share this: have nothing on the floor except the bottom of furniture legs or of cabinets. Also have nothing blocking the way to doors &windows; if there's an emergency you have direct access to a possible route of escape.
Carpet is not common in bathrooms. I don't know of anyone who does have or has ever had carpet in their bathroom. Also, because British houses can be quite small, the washing machine will often be in the kitchen. It's not like America with rooms for certain functions, most British houses need to mix rooms to conserve space.
You cannot say in uk we have smaller houses spends where u live we have big houses too houses with swimming pool dining rooms lots of bedrooms you cannot generalise that we all live in small houses
@AlekHiwatari 'd not clean up his part of the mess, just the dishes you use, or tell him to either get off his arse or get out, I couldn't live with someone who wants to sit in their own filth. I feel for you though, hopefully he'll wake up.
i wonder what the steam cleaner was the ones i have tried don;t last and sure doesn;t do what that one did does anyone know what brand that stean cleaner was
tell me about it..my room mate doesnt " believe" in cleaning. So I get stuck doing it all while he just be's a lazy ass =/. It's VERY irritatibg...his rooms about like half these people, while my rooms all aired out ans smells nice lol. But still, its very annoying having to clean up his pig messes in the kitchen - -;...

What a great result.

Note to self, don't ever watch this show and eat at the same time.....
lol first thing the kid does when he gets into the spare room: spill the plastic balls everywhere!
Lavender air freshener for the boudoir, is sounding like an awesome idea.

I like the ladies. It could be really easy to be rude and condescending to the ppl but they are nice and are tough without hurting feelings! :)

It's not hard to keep a small space clean.

It isn't at all common to have carpet in bathrooms or kitchens in the UK, no. I personally don't know of anyone who does and never have.
@SistaSledge101 Perhaps they line dry in the backyard?
@billzapata she said vodka and bergamot oil (orange oil).
