My mother always said "It is easy to clean a CLEAN house." Kim shows what she can do in five minutes once the kitchen is clean. That was my mother's exact point. She always cleaned as she went along during the day, so things didn't get left a mess. She had a set schedule, such as Washing on Monday, Ironing on Tuesday. It pays to be organized.
I am actually watching these episodes for motivation, house looks like a tornado passed through it. I never thought my house would ever get that messy and dirty until I hit the rock bottom stage of my depression. It's not laziness, depression really takes over you mentally and physically, it's exhausting.
true, but if you start to do something, no matter how little, you feel a little better. :) But it might feel too much to do all that needs to, but if you start, then you could maybe get help for the rest. :) good luck! This is truly motivating! It can be FUN to clean! I listen to music when I clean, much easier to get it done then. :D
I've watched just about all the episodes (UK anyway) of HCIYH, and I think this episode was one of the most upsetting for me. This lady's baby boy has lived his whole life sleeping under a ceiling of black mould, and her reason for cleaning up is that she wants to have people over?? Thank you for having the courage to bring in Aggie & Kim, regardless of your reasons. Blessings on your children.
I don't think it's just that they're large; they're slovenly. I'm a heavier woman and I manage to put myself together every day and make sure my house is clean. I think a lot of the people on this show have become overwhelmed and have given up (on themselves and their home). Cue Kim and Aggie to save the day!
There's SIX of them!!!!!!!!!!!!! And only the little girl has the dignity to clean her room. Poor baby! That mess is pure child abuse!!!!!! Lazy selfish immature parents! Shame on them!
I used to live in a 2500 square foot house and kept it spotless doing no more than three hours w week cleaning! And that includes doing the wash! A clean and organized house ( or flat) is SO much easier to clean than a dirty one. I watch Kim and Aggie and go clean something, just cuz...
I just find most people are so quick to judge based on looks and lifestyle. I hope you see why I try to squash these things. Adam went through years of bullying because of this episode.
Lol the only reason I'm watching this is because it motivates me to clean my house. I'm pretty lazy, but my house hasn't gotten anywhere near as bad as any of these. It scares me into cleaning XD
The daughter is a sweetheart I genuinely feel sorry for her that she has to put up with this mess, her parents and lazy brothers could learn a lot from her!
this makes me start deep cleaning and I am going to try to spend an hour or 2 a day doing some deep cleaning in some part of my place or someone else's
Poor little girl. Mom and Dad--especially that lazy mother--better do something fast before the child looses complete respect for her parents. It's an easy leap, especially for a child, to go from "what a horrible house" to "what a horrible family". Her very tidy room is admirable, but it's also a strong rebellious statement against her parents and their values.
I know what you mean. The rooms in my house are 2 to 3 times bigger than the 11 year olds clean room. We also have bigger windows so it looks brighter. About the washer and dryer; maybe it's the only place that has enough room for it.
omfg! My bff was watching this and said when she saw that the eleven year olds room was clean she said she thought of me istantly. The house I live in is extremely messy.
@ilovelonestarstate Agreed. It's amazing how much cleaning you can get done in just one day, if you are focused. The more you do, the more fun it gets!
wow, I cannot say my house is perfect but it is compared to this. I may have toys all over ever day but at the end of the day my kids pick up all there toys themselves and they are 4 and 2!
lol..i watch this and every time i get an overwhelming urge to clean or organize stuff ! i did my sock drawer after i went and bought drawer organizers...next up is my bedroom closet !!! lol its not bad but i could get rid of a few things i dont use
@trinketbox1 Agree that forcing kids to live in filth is abusive. Just the fact the kids can't ever have friends over is bad enough, never mind the psychological and health issues. Instead of shopping and eating all day lazy mom should clean.
because we dont all have laundry rooms, or cellars like you do, as all our houses are brick built, not wooden, and dont worry, we ALL dont live in muck!!! i can assure you...
Does that women OWN a hanger? Also, YOU HAVE KIDS WOMEN! They need to be HELPING (it can't just be mom after all)! My family owned a Daycare, and there was no getting out of cleaning for the kids (when they made a mess). What I mean to say is; they kids we're made to help out.
if a house is a mess thene guilty if they adult all the people living there are guilty, just cant understand mom has depression then others,laziness...
I think alot of times women let themselves go and then it gets harder to bend and pick up stuff and clean, weight gain in the states is huge right now, and I think you get tired easier so you dont finish jobs, its no excuse but there is a correlation.
Why is the mother blaming everyone else? I mean, since when do teenage boys help doing the housework? I'm not saying that all teenagers don't help, but lots of them don't.
Clothes lining the kitchen floor? I hate to sound all judgemental but that really is revolting. She's nagging the kids to get ready for school - how can she possibly expect them to get ready with their school uniforms all over the kitchen floor for cripes sake?!
errrrr hello? excuses excuses... what a joke. this house has got to stink... so sad for the kids. I love the narrator.. dad should be ashamed as well. he could at least throw out the trash.
dont get it O.O how can a Place that People live in get THAT far ?! AND just because the Mum doesnt clean the other 3 Persons that dont give a fuck arent able to do so ?? !!! Disgusting.

Oh god, that poor girl. If I was her I think I'd burst into tears whenever I stepped a foot inside that house. Ditto for wanting to adopt her.

One answer .1.bag up everything 2 clean up empty space ..3 one bag a day go through. Keep ..donate..discard piles..
Kim and Agnes are so gracious and helpful, and they give me tips and ways to battle hoarding. I love Kim's style of dressing and her make -up .😀🌍🌻🐾
What a sweet little girl!! Aww so sorry for her!!
" why is it every house we go to there's a christmas tree?" lol
My mother was spotless and I definitely blame her for my housekeeping standards... thanks mom! These shows make my skin crawl!!!
This show has taught me if there's an out of season Christmas tree floating around, there's a problem.
Its not the first time Kim and Aggie found a Christmas tree in someones house aha

Kim is hilarious I love this show 💜🇦🇺
I love watching this show, it puts me in the mood to tidy up. Especially since my place isn't anywhere near as bad as these peoples'!

Well thumbs up from me to her daughter who is probably the only normal person there.

Why do they always have to have animals when they can´t clean
"Duump...duuuuump" LOL I love it when they first walk in!! hahaha
I just find most people are so quick to judge based on looks and lifestyle. I hope you see why I try to squash these things. Adam went through years of bullying because of this episode.
What eloquently chosen words! I couldn't agree more!
You can hear the depression in the mother's voice. I be she had sever post postpartum after the last child and then was to overwhelmed to start.
In some contries the social service take care of kids living under such abuse
Lol the only reason I'm watching this is because it motivates me to clean my house. I'm pretty lazy, but my house hasn't gotten anywhere near as bad as any of these. It scares me into cleaning XD
i love your shows
The daughter is a sweetheart I genuinely feel sorry for her that she has to put up with this mess, her parents and lazy brothers could learn a lot from her!
You're welcomed! Hey, I'm like an umpire... I call 'em like I see 'em.
OH MY GOD!!! How can they live there?!?!
I absolutely love Kim.
thanks for posting- love k and a!
I have disabilities, two kids and one of them has a disability, and there is no excuse for this kind of behaviour
just the inspiration I need to keep my flat spotless! This is disgusting!
As one of Carol Burnett's characters would say: "....this gosh forsaken heck hole!!!"
this makes me start deep cleaning and I am going to try to spend an hour or 2 a day doing some deep cleaning in some part of my place or someone else's

I dont understand how people can live like this?
how is the family not sick from all that mess and mold?!
omfg! My bff was watching this and said when she saw that the eleven year olds room was clean she said she thought of me istantly. The house I live in is extremely messy.
so what do they do wuth all the boxes to "keep" after the cleaning?
@ilovelonestarstate Agreed. It's amazing how much cleaning you can get done in just one day, if you are focused. The more you do, the more fun it gets!
I have 9 kids and if we stopped cleaning for four years, wait, no i wouldnt let it get that bad id go nuts after 2 weeks of not cleaning.
wow, I cannot say my house is perfect but it is compared to this. I may have toys all over ever day but at the end of the day my kids pick up all there toys themselves and they are 4 and 2!

I wonder how some of these parents keep their children...
how to respect parents like that?
It's this a set up, just for television? Please tell me it is!
How can a beast like that manage to have a husband and I dont have even a boyfriend...lol
This woman makes my skin crawl....I wanted to slap her smug face when she said she had done nothing the past 3 and half years.
wow! what a great little girl! And she has to live with these pigs! There's gotta be rats in there...some may call it child neglect.
God! I wanna take that girl away and adopt her.
This obviously isn't a healthy environment for children.
Why don't protective authorities get involved?
because we dont all have laundry rooms, or cellars like you do, as all our houses are brick built, not wooden, and dont worry, we ALL dont live in muck!!! i can assure you...
dude chill :D
Instead of buying new big lady clothes, she can wash the old ones she has lying all over.

eww thats some scarey bacteria if its got energy dang!!

No, I got your point... I answered with a bit of irony, that's all. It was a joke.
Too many ppl in a tiny house.
3:30: No effing WAAY:::! EEWWW!!!
6:44: is it a boy or a girl??
Lol chill bro,i said PROBABLY since i dont know them, but thats the point u get from video.
what a flaming excuse for parents, seriously, stepping on piles of clothes? that little girl would even like to help. crying out loud.
I also think that's a form of child abuse! It's unhealthy!
Why is the mother blaming everyone else? I mean, since when do teenage boys help doing the housework? I'm not saying that all teenagers don't help, but lots of them don't.
Clothes lining the kitchen floor? I hate to sound all judgemental but that really is revolting. She's nagging the kids to get ready for school - how can she possibly expect them to get ready with their school uniforms all over the kitchen floor for cripes sake?!
mm k,but u could've just write that no need for calling me namesO.o
instead of doing laundry she goes to a used clothes shop smh
Those kids should be removed from that home the Animals too!
errrrr hello? excuses excuses... what a joke. this house has got to stink... so sad for the kids. I love the narrator.. dad should be ashamed as well. he could at least throw out the trash.
Ready to wear, out of a charity shop? OMG ewwww...
dont get it O.O how can a Place that People live in get THAT far ?! AND just because the Mum doesnt clean the other 3 Persons that dont give a fuck arent able to do so ?? !!! Disgusting.
Ugh this is one of the worst houses byfar. How about mom doesn't go wasting time shopping and actually tries to pick up all that shit?!?!
Worst episode ever. That stuff in the couch cracks , how gross .!
