mid-Missouri zone 6b. I looked at my sweet potatoes yesterday. They need at least two more weeks before digging. I usually let them grow 120-130 days after planting. I planted mine on May 10.
Did you plant slips? I am not sure but it would make sense that your latitude, longer days in the summer than I have, that they would be ready sooner. Have you tried letting them grow longer? If you let some grow for a while longer, I would love to hear the results.
Awesome Thank you so much Sister Debbie 😊❤ I'm bedridden so my husband is doing all the gardening and he is having to learn everything. FATHER GOD BLESS YOU Sister Debbie for teaching us all. The more we can grow the better. ❤😊
I hope my videos will help. I believe gardening is supposed to save money, so I concentrate on growing veggies as cheaply as possible. I pray peace, comfort and healing for you.
Sweet potato vine leaves ■ I grow for summer leaf edibles; I wonder if drying them, perhaps with the vine attached would be a source of ground nutrients during off season. M
@@debbiesorganicgarden Debbie - Today, a vine rest over a meadow garden. ■ Half acre yard; I sectioned in permaculture paths. My bald garden has white potato, a few plants. I put down dried straw from grass/maiden from a hill that I had deconstructed from a tee pee along the forest garden. Leaves compost in landscape areas and I am wanting to top dress the edible grow gardens with 2023 leaves instead of 2024. I wonder if it will be a better base. With limited space, I search for opportunities; yet the "fields, wells, houses." have been STOLLEN; and as a Believer I request, wait, and look for the justice the Lord God Almighty will have delivery and my request to him is "give me the love you have for me, so I can love you back at least the measure and not below." M
My theory is that it's based on "from slips" and also if you live farther north, the summer days are a lot longer than mine. I think daylight hours can make a difference. I'm curious-what is your growing zone?
That's what we grow here in the Philippines ❤ 🇵🇭 that's my favorite ❤

I actually stuff them into a 5 gallon bucket, fill the bucket and let it ferment for a few months. That makes the best fertilizer ever!

Sweet potatoes are so good! I wish I can row my own food i just dont have a green thumb or the patience!
In my area they say sweet potatoes take 125 days. Wonder if it’s different depending on location.

Should the blooms be removed from my plants
No. They will fall off within a day or two. Enjoy their beauty:)
So WHICH DID BEST.
I'm harvesting half of each bed this weekend-Thanksgiving weekend.
We are on a fixed income that hasn't been fixed. LOL 😂 😢😢😢
