I wish I came across this video before I took out my manifold. You made it look so easy. It took me 6 hrs to take out clean and stick it back in. By the way I also have a Ford Falcon XR8 in my garage runs mint
I had to use a screwdriver to scrape off the carbon. It was that caked on. I'm trying to figure out what disolves it. If it were a metal manifold, you could just burn the carbon away.
What brand and spec oil are you running in your ranger? I think the type of oil people run can cause more or less soot carbon sludge build up. Your intake manifold looked pretty clean compared to other i have seen..how many KMs did your ranger have? How did it go after the Tune? Did you get EGR off in the tune?
Great Vid thanks for the run thru. Looking to do mine shortly. Based on the Km and how clean it looked, has it been cleaned before ?? Im guessing you have a catch can and EGR plate installed ?? Thanks again for a look into my future pain.
Hi mate thanks heaps good to here the feed back. I do try to up load as much as I can. I got the car with 76km on it when I did it it had 98km on it I didn't have the catch can at the time put it on before the tune. And when thay tune it thay turn off the egr so it stays shut so no need to put that off to put a plate in
Hi mate that is my boost line for a boost gauge And no I haven't done a intercooler yet I also have a egt gauge as well to see how hot my exhaust temp is getting
@@AUZUP4X4 I have a new ranger coming in Jan so looking to optimise the vehicle to get the most reliability out if it. So far Provent 200 catch can. EGR off in tune. 3"Turbo back exhaust n tune. I think these 3 mods will keep things running cleaner
