The intake on modern diesel engines are prone to carbon deposits because of the EGR set up. This causes poor running and poor fuel efficiency. This 6 part series shows the step by step details to remove the intake, clean the carbon and replace the intake.
This video was done on a 2016 Ford Everest 3.2 with 215,000km. Models may have slight variations but the bulk of what you see here will be the same.

Awesome video mate - haven't attempted mine just yet - but just wondering if there's any changes with this process with secondary fuel filter? Or doesn't change anything? Just remove the fuel lines as you've done?

Had my glow plugs changed by ford dealer. Told me number 3 was cross threaded so it wasn’t changed. Now starts rough. Any ideas how to remove cross threaded one
