The best way I’ve seen lip products organized are in the actual lipstick organizers, the plastic ones that have the teeny little squares for each individual lipstick, in my opinion that always looks very organized when they’re all standing in their little spot opposed to piled up in a basket. Love your videos.❤
Yes, I understand and agree with your thought. However, it can be hard to differentiate between the colors and, also, would they fit in the drawers...the lipsticks once in the organizers that is?
A little tip if your dividers slide when you open your drawers, I putt a bit of tape under them to stick them to the drawer and they stay in place! Such a great way to prevent them for sliding in the back!
I feel like you’ve had a lot of reorganizing videos this year… but I am not complaining! Love these vids and I definitely understand how things can feel not *quite* in the best spot.
Oh I’m such an organizing nerd ~ love this. I have a vintage teachers school desk and made two pull out drawers out of cardboard (they are cuter than what it sounds) m, found the plans on Pinterest. So much fun to make dividers ; )
Love organization videos. I appreciate watching the thought process. I do think unfortunately, that either you have too many things or need more space to keep them which may be why you constantly have to reorganize. (I think you realized that during the course of the vlog), so some curating of the collections or if you love all you have, instead, finding some new spaces to store items will help (i.e. brushes, lashes, etc.). Of course if not, we make due with what we have and are grateful for those items we have. Thank you for taking us along on your day. ❤
A declutter video opens up opportunities to evaluate and see what you really use and also to enjoy what you already have and be creative. I did with my fragrance bag I decluttered and used up three fragrances I enjoyed and gave one to my mom that she enjoyed and it was a great learning experience for me.
I have a little case different pages with elastic slots (almost like you would use to organize pens) for my lip products. It's great because I can flip through it and see everything
For my lip products i have an organizer from shein, is so great. Its like a drawer and perfectly shaped for lip products. You can pull each drawer out. You even can stack them on another. Love it😍
Remember when Muji was a thing?! Thanks for sharing. IKEA makes inserts/storage for their drawers, the Container Store does too FYI. These types of videos are always fun to watch 😊✌🏾
I love organizing my makeup drawers. I buy the containers that have the rubber feet on the bottom so they don't slide around. TJ Maxx or Marshalls are the best bargains.
hi kelly, always yes to the declutters and swatches, and also if I can make a little suggestions about the display through the declutter < I know it is oddly specific> i would enjoy if all the lip products are dislayed all togather and then you would pull one out doing swatches, comments and whether or not you would keep them. i think it is so satisfying watching you visually going though each and single one of them till the last one. thank you kelly~ also just suggestions, at the end make the video as you see fit ❤
Congratulations! That's a lot of work but fun for us to watch. I was fully expecting you to break into a primer declutter right there on the spot😂 I think you would be so much happier if you had 2 drawers for all the lip products. Either that or I'm game for a lip swatching and decluttering. My weakness is that I collect all the different shades if I like a formula, but some of those colors may not be right for me. Then I hang on to them just because I like the formula and tell myself some day I will use them all Lol
when I find a new formula I like, I like to buy all the shades I normally wear, so I just end up with the same shades but from different brand or with different formula 😅
@@winniechan384 Oh that's funny! You're so right. The Thing I'm discovering about myself is that I actually prefer when I'm getting ready to have each of my products in different packaging so that I immediately know at a glance which is which. So I've been declattering duplicates of the same type of color even though that's hard to do. If there's subtle differences I convince myself that I can hang on to them LOL
I recently moved and reorganized my makeup, and I would say drawers these deep are hard to organise when the items are small. I prefer stackable trays so the items are all laid out and I don't have to dig for them. Also I find those drawers for storing jewellery are actually great for storing lipsticks and blushes.
I have of those lip product organizers that have thr individual divisions, and I keep them standing. I have two,and have them by category. Bullet lipsticks in one, glosses, oils, tinted balms and stains in another. I don't know if your drawers allow for them to stand, but it really helps to see what you have
15:24 Just a suggestion, i think you should arrange the blushes according their shapes. Like all the regular (rectangular and circular) ones first and then pop in the irregular in front, like that too faced and Burt's bee one
Hi, Kelly. I subscribed to your channel recently. I really enjoy your content and, also, your practical take on beauty consumption in general. I find I end up agreeing with your thoughts and approach 9 times out of 10. About a week ago I spent almost 6 hours fully decluttering my makeup/skincare/beauty/bath/body/haircare collection. I had gone a year and a half not buying anything and just using my (admittedly) huge backstock. Finally, though, I still felt super overwhelmed and, also, I realized that my preferences had completely. Hence the super, brutally cutthroat declutter. I went from 39 palettes to 8, I did not keep palettes that were similar to one another, I chose my favorite of the group and got rid of the rest. Lips I got rid of everything because I hadn't bought a new lip since 2020, yes I did replace those with Korean tinted lip balms, oils and glosses and some great nude matte bullet lipsticks- all inexpensive on Amazon...I will say that I love them more than anything I have used from mainstream brands. I also did a super great job of really getting rid of things I just don't use, similar items and old items in every single category. I then donated it all to two placex -the mental health facility and the highschool my Dad is an educator at. I did have to buy all new skincare but I don't have a super in-depth routine.I swear by Mizon All in One Snail Cream twice a day, a night time face oil, Aloe Vera gel before moisturizer twice daily, Olay Birch Water cleanser and Palmer's Cleansing Oil. Oh and a good brightening Coconut mist. That's it. I don't do any anti-aging care because my grandmotner died at 80 looking 55, my mom is 67 looking 45 and, if not for my prematurely white hair, I pass for 30 instead of 40...so genetics blessed me somewhere. Lol!! Anyway, I wanted to share about my recent declutter journey because I am proud of myself....thanks for your videos and smart, logical thoughts on beauty consumption... Not every beauty obsessed person needs to be an air head and I appreciate that...
I organize my lip products by color category as I usually know what shade I want to wear and decide which product from there. I have a few broad categories that I use - currently I am working on using up a handful of lippies that are older in my collection
I feel you. I junk journal and it is out of control. I have organized it now probably 10 times in 2 years. Just one trip to Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby can ruin my “organized” system. I am working on a huge 11 “junk journal” project for my Mom for Christmas and I am finding stuff I didn’t even remember I had and actually able to use up a bunch of stuff all at once. After my Mom cut out like 10 stickers she said, I think this is enough stickers. I was like, oh noooooo lady, junk journals eat stickers and paper and quotes and pictures. You will be cutting things out until November. 😂 Thanks Kelly! 💕
I just use those slotted lipstick organizers! I am able to fit about 3 of those organizers in the deeper drawers of my Alex unit. For the taller products like lip liners and tarte maracuja I keep them in longer containers next to the organizers. I’m able to fit well over 100 lip products in one Alex drawer and can see every lippie I have.
I think in the case of the lip drawer, so many baskets end up taking up space. If it was filled with those little black boxes, the edges would take up less space and they might be able to lay flat. Or maybe it’s just sheer numbers that make them not lie flat to look at them all 😊
I just filmed me organizing my lip products, and I feel your struggle. So many are just not the same size and don't fit nicely into trays. I think I moved stuff around so many times, and I'm still not haply with it. The struggle 😂
Loveeee the idea of the lip swatch/declutter video! Lippies are tough because they take forever to use, but they do still expired like foundations, etc. aren’t some of your Urban Decay glosses several years old at this point?
I keep longer lip products laying down and smaller (bullet lipsticks and smaller glosses) standing up in a lipstick holder (got two years ago one from primark and the other from flying tiger)
Rather than buying lots of cheap organisers that don't really do the job you should buy organisers sized to fit the alex drawers. I bought a lipstick organiser from doll club, it fills the whole drawer and holds all my lip products except the ones that are too tall for the drawer. Or you could buy the strips that clip into each other and you just cut or break them to fit in the drawer. They're a bit flimsy so I find they work better for smaller products like blush. Getting organisers that fill the whole drawer is the best use of space.
Honestly I get tempted to buy tons of lip products too because I pan them the fastest. Then I remember it takes 140 to nearly 200 uses to finish one lip product that I might not even love. Then I'm good. Recently finished the elf glossy lip stain and it took forever using it both as a blush and lip product. I love these videos and theyre so nostalgic.
A big yes to the video dedicated to lip products (swatches, declutter, etc)! Have a great day, Kelly!

Agreed, I think she may need to invest in something with deeper drawers to accomplish this though.
Yes, I understand and agree with your thought. However, it can be hard to differentiate between the colors and, also, would they fit in the drawers...the lipsticks once in the organizers that is?
Yes please, decluttering sessions, I would love that, and it would make so much more space in your drawers.
A little tip if your dividers slide when you open your drawers, I putt a bit of tape under them to stick them to the drawer and they stay in place! Such a great way to prevent them for sliding in the back!
Yes, please a lippie declutter video. It is one of the hardest categories for me to declutter, so I would love to see your process!

You need more the acrylic organizers for the lip drawer. I think that will be soooooo satisfying.
For my lip products i have an organizer from shein, is so great. Its like a drawer and perfectly shaped for lip products. You can pull each drawer out.
You even can stack them on another. Love it😍
Would love to see a lip swatch and declutter video!!
I use a storage mirror for jewelry and makeup. It’s the best lipstick storage option I’ve ever used.
Remember when Muji was a thing?! Thanks for sharing. IKEA makes inserts/storage for their drawers, the Container Store does too FYI.

I love these types of makeup organizing video's. Feels nostalgic ❤
Videos like this are so satisfying to watch!
Thank you, Kelly!

If I had a lot of lipstick, I'd definitely sort by color. It would look so pretty and also be much easier for getting ready 😊

I would love to see a favorite brushes/brush declutter video!

I love makeup organisation videos! This was so realistic and enjoyable! I would love to watch the lip swatching & decluttering video!❤
daiso is literally the best place for girlies looking for organizing bins haha! love the vid kelly 💞

Hailey O has a great lipstick organisaton setup for someone with larger collection!

Love this! But you know - you definitely need a few deeper drawers, and a label maker. But that’s just me!
I love a good swatch declitter
Thank you for showing us Kelly!!! Just subscribed!
Thank you for watching!
I feel like you should organize your lips by color.
I have to many lips so I’m decluttering my makeup as watching you organize.
Love this kind of video!

I loved watching this! Where do you keep all your eyeshadow and eyeshadow palettes? Mascara?
I keep my palettes in a separate drawer! And my mascara is in my everyday makeup drawer :)
Use double sided tape or sticky tack under the things that tend to slide around in the drawers. ❤❤
I keep longer lip products laying down and smaller (bullet lipsticks and smaller glosses) standing up in a lipstick holder (got two years ago one from primark and the other from flying tiger)
Be careful of the clear acrylic - mine cracked in pieces
I think this video is an excellent reminder why I bought the wider ikea alex drawer haha
I‘m always having such a hard time organizing my stuff, so I really appreciate your effort here - great video! 🫶🏽
Alsoo i just got the MUR Cream Bronzer and i adore it
Yay! It’s sooo good!

Afternoon Kelly from the uk 💜
Every time I see someone organize Alex (or Alex type) drawers I'm so glad I didn't get them.
Wow
Did she clean out all the drawer before inserting new containers?
She did lol
💜💙💚

Hi beautiful Tilly xxx ❤
Mamma mia 😂
The question is do you have more lip products than there are days in a year lol 😂
No she doesn't reach 100 even
That triangle shape is why I never buy LYS (or whatever). Toooooo weird shaped.

Not gonna lie. Makeup organization slaps.
