I love declutter videos. I think they are more credible as reviews. First impressions are much appreciated, but seeing how a product fits in a collection is more important
I discard the wrong colors, and I also let go of the idea of liking something just because others love it. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, and I prefer to use products that work for me and with me, rather than keeping products to force them to work and risking my good things going bad.
I have no patience with products that I have to make work. They get returned or tossed. That said, I try to be very careful with what I buy. Kind of filtering it up front, so to speak.
Regarding the tower 28 blushes-I saw Jenluv talk about a similar phenomenon, and the explanation was kind of an oil condensation, if I remember correctly, and if that’s the case, it’s totally fine to use. Maybe check that out
For the tower 28 blushes/bronzers, usually those bumps are wax bloom due to temperature changes (the product separates and hardens because of the temperature changes it can go through) and is harmless. While I can’t say with 100% certainly that that’s what this is, I’m pretty sure based on my own experience and what I’ve seen online that’s what it is!
I’ve been here since you hated pink eyeshadow, said all face powders were the same, and back when you lived in Michigan. It scares me how long it’s been…. time is something yk
I buy the elf hydrating core balms for my daughter because she is 6 and loves the heart center so it is a balm she will regularly use. Cuteness wins with little kids every time. They are also a sheer age appropriate way for her to play with makeup. In North Dakota, the best lip balm is the one you actually keep reapplying.
I always love a declutter, so thank you 😊 I must say, I've found (if you treat it well) make-up always lasts quite a bit longer than the time frame written on the box. I can't see myself getting any Tower 28 products after seeing so many weird looking ones!

The elf Soft Glam foundation is a holy grail for my mature skin. I mix the two lightest shades to make my perfect shade. It lasts all day, doesn't excentuate my fine lines and its buildable. I moved from California to Idaho and i learned quickly that foundations perform differently depending on the humidity/weather. Foundations that worked for me in California didnt work in Idaho and that sounds crazy but its true.
This is soo true! Climate plays a big part in how makeup plays with the skins and how the skin looks/performs in general. In a dry climate I had super dry skin, now in a humid climate I have oily/combo skin.

cant say for sure but I can give some perspective from a biologist, the pink tower 28 has most likely gone off. They're more of a clean beauty brand so less preservatives and all BUT it's not mold. Mold looks a lot different, it's probably just the emulgators separating from the pigments, possibly due to temperature changes.
thanks for the long vid! the about face foundation sits funny when im dehydrated/dried out (my skin absorbed all the moisture and just left splotches of pigment behind) so if you have a similar issue i suggest overmoisturizing when you use it. it looks amazing and super skinlike that way :)
That has been my experience, too!! Granted, I usually do my skincare before makeup because I have dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone, so I've only ever had one off-day when I was in a hurry... So that's an awesome observation!
For the about face foundation, try it with a hydrating primer underneath! I don’t love it by itself but when I use the saie super glowy gel underneath it’s my holy grail!
I think a declutter from time to time is good for all of us, then you have the products you love and work well on your skin and looks good, and you don't have to dig dig dig through all the stuff you don't use, that just wastes your time!!
I bought the Kosas mini pack from Sephora and I freaking love them! Perfect variety and not full size so I don’t have to worry about waste! I got Butterflies, Euphoria, and Blissed I believe!

Natasha Denona is one of those for me that so many love & I don’t. Recently bought the Haus Labs & love it, going to declutter my fairly new ND because I don’t see myself wearing it, doesn’t look good at all.

For the shades being off for you please keep in mind that you can find a lot of shadematches because a lot of companies cater to your skintone. So for like the kosas concealers the skintones are not 'unrealistic' they just don't work for you they do work for other people and we do want a lot of undertone diversity - it would obviously be ideal if it was within every product available. As an example I can't find my undertone in the vast majority of concealers and foundations because the undertones are very far from my undertone (like you wouldn't want to cover up redness with a foundation or concealer that is much much reder than your complexion and the red areas on the face face - that would add redness not remove it. Some people have a very yellow undertone and can find a match within kosas but will struggle with finding a shadematch the majority of the time. I am personally muted and olive so most shades look either super red or orange on me and have sort of a neon-color quality in comparison to my skin. So i need sorta greish looking shades which do look dirty or deadish on someone with a more saturated skintone such as yourself (color always depends on what you out it next to). Fyi this is just meant to spread awareness sorta like we didn't get any super pale shades or dark shades untill people other than those that needed those shades became aware that it is a problem.
Yep, fair /cool / olive . I normally buy a neutral foundation then add blue and green pigments to get my best match. Sometimes I bit of pink for under the eyes that tends to work better for me than peach.
Loved seeing swatches together! In particular the 3.2o from kosas concealer is a perfect match for me as a kermit leaning individual, and the ND N4 looks like a much lighter, peachier concealer on me! I tend to neutralize/ bronze myself to make things work and I like to see the differences.

I wish the sigma colour corrector was sold in singular colours too. I need the lightest shade in the lightest compact. It works so well! I love that colour corrector so much.
So interesting. I’m only in the foundation part, but you are way more open minded than I am. If I’ve tried something a few times and it doesn’t work for me (I decluttered both the Mario and the About Face) or the color is off, I give it away. I’m not an influencer, though, but my guess is they will go in your next declutter. If your shade doesn’t exist or you have to mix it to make the right one, I likely won’t do it . . . Because I have so many that I love . . .like the Fenty, the One Size, and many higher end brands (Chanel, Dior, D & G).
Being an small consumer and not having to much money to spend, if i buy something that doesn't work for me i try using it by mixing with other products. To be honest last 2 years i've repurchased most of my HG and here and there few new products tested, i am not keen to spend on products that i am not sure will work for me😊
Thank you! I can't stand the Yummy Skin tint, and I feel like there must be something wrong with me, because it's so beloved. It sits smeared on top of my skin but also settles into pores, barely covers, you name it. I am normal-dry, prefer light coverage, and thought it'd be my holy grail.

The danesa myrick liquid eyeshadow is a tough one. I was testing the colors in Sephora and one was not coming out like yours here and I squeezed it and it exploded out the back of the packaging all over my black sweater lol so much glitter ✨

Mold cannot grow in products that are produced without water unless water was introduced to the product after it was opened. As far as I can tell the Tower 28 blush is made without water, so I don't think it is mold.

The needle doesn't seem to work all the time and some people said to pull out the tip of the bottle and rinse it with warm water. I tried it and it worked for me. Hope it works for you too because it's an amazing shade! ❤️💚🧡 Edit: yes to the lipliners video!!!
I have super dry and sometimes flakey skin, areas of dry patches on my cheeks and a lot of sensitivity on my face (I get dermatitis and rashes from a lot of products). I tried the Flower Beauty Get Real Serum Foundation and oh my goodness my skin has never looked so beautiful. My skin is slightly glowy and not shiny and super healthy. It’s light and doesn’t irritate my skin! It feels like I don’t even have anything on. I’ve been trying to use the new Fenty foundation and it just slides across my face and separates on my dry patches but I’ve wanted to like it so bad because everyone loves it so much. The Eaze Drop used to be my holy grail but I feel like it’s nothing special. The new Huda Beauty foundation is nice but I really have to up my skincare game before wearing it as it also separates on my dry patches which makes it hard to use.
I saw the video of a few other influencers showing their brow freeze are melted or getting mold. It's really a trendy product that comes and goes fast, and gets forgotten so fast as well.
I have the same issue with the Danessa Myricks liquid shadow! I only used it a couple of times and now anything barely comes out. I do think it dries in the tube pretty quickly even if you close it well. Such a shame, the DM shades are so pretty 🥲

I had green mold in one shade in my Natasha Denona my dream palette which I have for a little bit over a year. My old Natasha palettes are all fine.. it‘s not just clean beauty sadly 😢 my fenty cream bronzer too.
I mix the Patrick Ta glowy foundation with my other foundations and I enjoy it that way. Too glowy on its own and my pores and skin discolorations are amplified. But I do love mixing it.
My tower 28 blush went bad after less than a year of having it. I am now so irked about it! You could see these raised little bumps. I don’t know that I will be purchasing any more from them. My collection is too extensive to have it expire so soon
Warm up the DM eyeshadow in a warm bowl of water. Mine were like that when originally delivered and that's what their customer service told me to do. It worked! They had gotten too cold during transit.

Agreed!! I use either the Glossier Futuredew [when I'm having a dry skin day after Differin] or the Wet N Wild Glass Correct.

you should try the lys stick foundation! it’s so creamy but not thick and greasy with a great price!

I think the packaging is hit or miss. I had two shades that were fine and one that I had dry out after using it once.

I had green mold in one shade in my Natasha Denona my dream palette which I have for a little bit over a year. My old Natasha palettes are all fine.. it‘s not just clean beauty sadly 😢 my fenty cream bronzer too.
I mix the Patrick Ta glowy foundation with my other foundations and I enjoy it that way. Too glowy on its own and my pores and skin discolorations are amplified. But I do love mixing it.
Could you next time film yourself reorganising your drawers? I'd love to see it. It's my favourite part.
My tower 28 blush went bad after less than a year of having it. I am now so irked about it! You could see these raised little bumps. I don’t know that I will be purchasing any more from them. My collection is too extensive to have it expire so soon

For the DM eyeshadow maybe put the tube in some warm water? Seems like it’s gelled up?
Warm up the DM eyeshadow in a warm bowl of water. Mine were like that when originally delivered and that's what their customer service told me to do. It worked! They had gotten too cold during transit.
A lot of the blushes can be seasonal organizing
