    I had carpal tunnel surgery on 10/18, went to the follow up appointment to remove stitches. My doctor replied, you're a quick healer the skin had covered up the stitches. On my next visit I will tell me about the ring and middle finger triggering. I began foing the exercises from your video and they seemed to get better. I exercise three times a day. I figured if I continued to do the trigger finger exercises it will continue to get better.

    Thank you for your excellent and varied exercises. You are really guiding me in my recovery from a wrist fracture. Your exercises are excellent! It’s great to learn all the terminology. Your pace is so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to repeat the entire exercises.

    In an accident last month, I ripped my middle finger and palm (needing surgery the next day). Now that the wound has healed, I'm focusing on functionality with the help of my physiotherapist. He gave me the first two exercises shown in this video. I'm so happy I found your channel, because I love to follow your example and do the exercises with you. I'm now more consistent with them and I don't have to count or think about the order! Thank you ❤

The exercises helped to take the stiffness away - thank you

    Please help me. I had an operation on my hand because the thumb tendon was cut, and after removing the stitches, the doctor advised me to do physical therapy, but the thumb tendon got stuck, so the doctor returned the operation to me so that the tendon moved in its course easily. But now the tendon is still short and my thumb can't reach the palm of the hand and the hand muscle is weak and I still can't grab small things with my fingers. Please advise me with information and how long it takes for the tendon to return to its length, knowing that the first operation was in October and the second was in January, and thank you very much for the videos. They are very useful, but I find it difficult to apply them because the strength of my hands is weak, especially the thumb.

    Thank you for your exercises. I have both trigger finger and Dupuytrens in my right hand. I am seeing a hand surgeon to get his opinion of how to go forward. I have a very good PT guy who is working with me after rotator cuff surgery. I very much value his opinion. He recommends avoiding surgery and instead doing hand stretching exercises. In your opinion can i avoid the surgery and use his exercise(flat hand to stretch tendons/ligaments) with good results? Thanks for your response!

    Hi - just found your great TH-cam channel. I've just spent 8 weeks in a splint for mallet finger and finally had it assessed now the splint has been removed. It's healed straight, which is good, and I've been prescribed hand exercises including the second one in your video - however I am completely unable to move the injured joint at all to make a claw. It's been 3 days since I've started the exercise and there is no progress or movement - it's like I have a metal rod in my finger. Should I be worried?

    I am trying to recover from guillain barre syndrome caused by an AstraZeneca jab way back in June 2021.
    My hands are slowly improving from being tight fists with no strength but I was told that my recovery so far of nerves to my hands is only 10% on my right hand & 15% on my left, measured by EMG at Addenbrookes hospital. My ring finger & little finger are very bent & painful at the first finger joint from my palm- the Ulnar nerve. I have been doing these videos & physio on the NHS. Is there anything more I can do speed up my nerve regeneration?

    I am two years post-surgery on my flexor tendon index finger. I have great range of motion and strength in my finger except I cannot do the straight fist exercise (my pointer finger curls). E.g., I cannot make a right angle (90° bend) with my pointer finger. It is important to me because it impacts my guitar playing. Is there any hope or solutions to this? It is hard for me to find others who only have this issue, thank you for any help!!!

      Also, can a caregiver help the patient do these until he gets more flexible?

    • @VirtualHandCare
      @VirtualHandCare  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are more for orthopedic injuries so it will help with stiffness, weakness, loss of motion however the rehab needs to be neuro 1st to stablish the brain to hand connnection. A caregiver can help with the passive motion to keep the joints supple and to avoid contractures however make sure there is a strong neuro program such as mirror therapy 1st.
