I had carpal tunnel surgery on 10/18, went to the follow up appointment to remove stitches. My doctor replied, you're a quick healer the skin had covered up the stitches. On my next visit I will tell me about the ring and middle finger triggering. I began foing the exercises from your video and they seemed to get better. I exercise three times a day. I figured if I continued to do the trigger finger exercises it will continue to get better.
In an accident last month, I ripped my middle finger and palm (needing surgery the next day). Now that the wound has healed, I'm focusing on functionality with the help of my physiotherapist. He gave me the first two exercises shown in this video. I'm so happy I found your channel, because I love to follow your example and do the exercises with you. I'm now more consistent with them and I don't have to count or think about the order! Thank you ❤
I’ve worked at warehouses for several years using horrible techniques and postures when it came to handling boxes, bags etc… I definitely needed this video!
Thank you for your excellent and varied exercises. You are really guiding me in my recovery from a wrist fracture. Your exercises are excellent! It’s great to learn all the terminology. Your pace is so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to repeat the entire exercises.
I stumbled across your page and so very thankful I did! I’ve had 6 hand surgeries, 5 being for trigger fingers and I have another one scheduled in two weeks. These exercises have helped the healed hand so much with pain, tightness, and ROM. Thank you, thank you!
I really enjoy you & your hand exercises…. I was a guitar player before my stroke in January 2021…. I had no movement at all in my right hand for a few weeks….. I am strumming a little now ….. I think these exercises will really help! Thank you!
Glad to find ur channel. Just had a wrist fusion after years of RA complications & constant injections along with biologics. Just started PT last week. Surgery 3 weeks ago. Your exercises are a nice additional help. And great for my other hand that has its own RA struggles.
Your execises have really made a difference in my recover. I told my surgeion about your site, and he was impressed by how you demonstrate the exercies giving all of the pertinent information for the patient. Thank you!
Thank you for having a quick video straight to exercises. that’s very helpful as my Hand gets numb as I’m trying to sleep so I’m not trying to sit through a 45 minute video that consists of talking
Thank you so much for taking the time to made a video to help others, I'm having tendonitis due to a cycling that I can't rid off. I will try to do it daily Thanks again!!!!
That is awesome! I had surgery March 6 of this year and just ended my PT . They never put all of the motions together like you 😢. I was following you and those really help my stuff joints. Thanks
Wow, was working with OT who was no pain no gain. After watching and using this video as a guild for the first time I can feel the tendons in my palm stretching. Stretching without pain. Feels better and I am getting more movement 😅
Thank you for taking the time to make this full length video of the exercises. You must know that people often stop when you stop, instead of doing the remaining recommended number of exercises.
You're videos are so much better than the Kaiser Permanente videos! Really appreciate all you have done for me and so many others. Thank you for being a bright light of healing on the planet❤️
Thank u. Helped my fingers stiffness even while doing it for a few repetitions- not the complete minute. Is going to definitely help when I do about a minute each. Bless u. Your instructions were very clear & easy to follow. 😃
I followed these movements but increases the gripping force for all of the steps... and it really improved on my stiff left hand....which is caused by a snipper tool I used for a whole day, and cannot recover for a few months even I applied medical oil and hand clapping exercises...
Thanks so much, i recently developed stiff hands and fingers and hoping these exercises will assist with improving the flexibility and mild pain - much appreciated 🙏
Yes, my fingers feel less stiff. I did all the exercises, so don't know which ones did the trick. Also the the back of my hands and wrists no longer hurt, so I'll be doing these exercises a lot. Thanks 🙏!
Been in OT for 4 weeks. Can’t do the claw unless I put a round object at the top knuckle. Do stretches religiously. Thanks for this video! Not giving up!
I sustained an overuse injury to my thumb and index finger. Getting timely medical referrals is taking longer with the pandemic slowdown. Thank you these videos are helpful. You’re pleasant and the music is relaxing too
Please help me. I had an operation on my hand because the thumb tendon was cut, and after removing the stitches, the doctor advised me to do physical therapy, but the thumb tendon got stuck, so the doctor returned the operation to me so that the tendon moved in its course easily. But now the tendon is still short and my thumb can't reach the palm of the hand and the hand muscle is weak and I still can't grab small things with my fingers. Please advise me with information and how long it takes for the tendon to return to its length, knowing that the first operation was in October and the second was in January, and thank you very much for the videos. They are very useful, but I find it difficult to apply them because the strength of my hands is weak, especially the thumb.
I would really appreciate ur advice I did the finger and wrist exercises, u r so good with explaining. after my distal head radius was in a cast my tendon on the little finger side got agitated with the pressure of the cast now I m having more pain due to tendon agitation instead of pain on radius side can I still carry on with the exercises u showed for fingers and the wrist in spite of tendon pain. The exercises helped to take the stiffness away - thank you
Thanks dear God bless you 🤗 I just found your channel. last 2 weeks my fingers get numbness. because last 15 years I am taking thyroid medicine.i hope your exercises going to help me. I subscribe your channel also I am going to share with my family and friends.God bless you.thanks 💕🌹😍
Thank you for your exercises. I have both trigger finger and Dupuytrens in my right hand. I am seeing a hand surgeon to get his opinion of how to go forward. I have a very good PT guy who is working with me after rotator cuff surgery. I very much value his opinion. He recommends avoiding surgery and instead doing hand stretching exercises. In your opinion can i avoid the surgery and use his exercise(flat hand to stretch tendons/ligaments) with good results? Thanks for your response!
Hi, Thank you for varied excercise, I actually injured my ring finger at DIP level and i took help of physician by strapping my middle finger with ring finger, Now after 2 months i am not able to completely able to bend my ring finger. I am afraid if this permanent, can you help!!
Hi - just found your great TH-cam channel. I've just spent 8 weeks in a splint for mallet finger and finally had it assessed now the splint has been removed. It's healed straight, which is good, and I've been prescribed hand exercises including the second one in your video - however I am completely unable to move the injured joint at all to make a claw. It's been 3 days since I've started the exercise and there is no progress or movement - it's like I have a metal rod in my finger. Should I be worried?
I have had flexor tendon surgery about 5 months ago and my hand feels super tight. This routine helped but do you have any other advice to loosen up?! Thanks
I have a sore middle finger and also the webbing on the adjacent fingers next to it, Im unsure of how I did it but I aggrevated it again last night during wrestling class when it was bent back slightly. It feels really weak when lifting and curling forward and back to a certain extent. Could you advise on which one of your videos would be a good start for me? Appreciate your time
I have been doing similar exercises since my left wrist surgery 3 1/2 months ago. A few weeks ago 3 of my fingers became very stiff and are the loosest when I am up and about, but I have no idea why this suddenly developed.
Thank you. It really helped my fingers loosen up. I m almost 2 months after a trigger finger release surgery. And was suffering from pain n stiffness. Thanks again
I am two years post-surgery on my flexor tendon index finger. I have great range of motion and strength in my finger except I cannot do the straight fist exercise (my pointer finger curls). E.g., I cannot make a right angle (90° bend) with my pointer finger. It is important to me because it impacts my guitar playing. Is there any hope or solutions to this? It is hard for me to find others who only have this issue, thank you for any help!!!
I am trying to recover from guillain barre syndrome caused by an AstraZeneca jab way back in June 2021. My hands are slowly improving from being tight fists with no strength but I was told that my recovery so far of nerves to my hands is only 10% on my right hand & 15% on my left, measured by EMG at Addenbrookes hospital. My ring finger & little finger are very bent & painful at the first finger joint from my palm- the Ulnar nerve. I have been doing these videos & physio on the NHS. Is there anything more I can do speed up my nerve regeneration?
Question from an OT :) Would this help facilitate ROM in stiff/rigid and weak hands for my neurologically involved patient who had multiple strokes/TIAs? Thank you!
These are more for orthopedic injuries so it will help with stiffness, weakness, loss of motion however the rehab needs to be neuro 1st to stablish the brain to hand connnection. A caregiver can help with the passive motion to keep the joints supple and to avoid contractures however make sure there is a strong neuro program such as mirror therapy 1st.
Miss if a person have swelling around wrist as well as fingers wahts should we do .... He has not been takingn any physical therapy even after complete fracture union of distal radius for last 6 month....and having no complete range of motion of wrist join Kindly guide me whats should I do I'm physical therapist
I am not able to grip, pick up any items or not able to band both hands fingers and not able to band it was not possible to get it to me any items and fingers are not hucks, and fist, fingers not able to touch the palm...pls send me know what is your side suggest or any excercise for me ...

Thank you! I injured my index finger and the ortho told me to just "work it out" without any specific instructions on what to do. This helped a lot.
This really helps with my stiff fingers after my broken wrist surgery, thank you
Thank you! I needed this more than I realized!

Should I be bending and working a finger and a back cut, it's impossible to bend finger fully, does it need to be set still, or worked?
Yes its helpful
Thank you!!
How much time it take to straight full hand after flexer tendon joining surgery?
I am going to save this. My pinky went numb trying it.
Superb exercise.thank.you
I was wondering, what do you recommend for a ligament tear on a pinky finger?
