This is definitely one way to make money as a solo player, but the best way I've found to make money is to simply ask to join a reclaimer crew in chat. I just made 7 million for literally 1 hours work in a 2 man crew.
I started Star Citizen over a year ago as a complete idiot. Fortunately, I found your videos, and even though I've learned the ropes of the game since then, I still watch every one of these beginner videos as well, because you never know when you'll see/hear some tasty extra info. Thanks for your effort in making these helpful videos!
I play with a bunch of old vets who don't know you can vacuu-suck with the multi tool. Gonna blow their minds when I tell em. Great video man. I wish I had seen it when I started! If you are starting out, this video is pure concentrated knowledge. You may wanna watch it a couple times!
Save for a PC. The hardware is more expensive, but the games are cheaper. And backwards compatible. If you don’t know how to build a PC yourself, NZXT sells PCs for a fairly decent price. They also sell kits you can build yourself with instructions if you want to save a few hundred bucks. Once you go PC you won’t ever go back. I have consoles and a PC. The consoles collect dust except for when I want to play an exclusive.
I used to watch your guides to bringing home the space cheddar for ED, and you're still a great source of info now in SC too! Thanks for all the time you put into making these! Very much appreciate how you show the downsides that can happen as well as the successful runs so folks have a realistic understanding of what to expect.
A lot of people make star citizen videos. No one makes them as detailed and helpful as you. I appreciate your time you took to make this because it helped me greatly for someone that took a long break from the game. You're a legend thank you for the help, this game is very intimidating when you're lost.
Just bought my son a holiday Avenger Titan game pack and he is just getting started. Made sure to forward this video to him. Pretty much the same method I used to get started so You just saved me some explaining. 👍
I would also add this. If the new player is going to ROC mine, I would mention that the Cutty Black has a tractor beam. More than likely a new player will overcook a roc and explode. Don’t park the ship so close to take damage. And when the Roc gets disabled, the ship tractor beam can put the disabled Roc back in the ship, or have a Maxlift to move it. So he can transfer Roc inventory into the ship
I like how you show the ups and downs of how a place can already have been looted. Bedlogging is something I still haven't developed the habit of doing (hold-over from when it was busted). Good guide though and I will definitely give it a shot! Thank you :)

One of my favourite things to do is loot absolutely everything, another good spot is by taking the shuttle at the top of the Crusader showroom at Orison. It takes you to what I assume is the Siege of Orison location, plenty of weapons, armour and supplies for multiple people.
For the first time since buying the game 5 years ago I managed to takeoff, do a goofy 3,000cr mission and make it back to the starport. No crashes or major glitches...it was fun and nice to see the game is becoming a little more playable. I'm going to hit this guide to help me out. Thx Commander!
It's great to see that the Vulture now works better for solo play. When I was being shown how to do this, it pretty much required someone in the hold, ejecting boxes and stacking them, to avoid having to run down to the hold and back the cockpit every few minutes.
This is awesome. After two years of struggling to get this game down I find the starter how to videos always offer the best info to keep me moving. Tks
I just started playing Star Citizen this month, my friends been playing for almost two months, and your vids have helped us a lot. Thanks for making these tips and tricks
I just got my son also into this game, but could not afford anything more than the basic Aurora $45 Starter Pack. So hopefully tonight I will chaperone him around so he can see all the loot worthy settlements. Unfortunately his Aurora do not have a bed so I will just let him bed log on my Connie.
Great guide. Two corrections: 1. Pirates camp at all good loot locations. They WILL blow up your ship over and over again. They WILL shoot you if you are both indoors. So go there without any important equipment. Just a space helmet and a 1U cargo box and a multitool tractor beam! 2. Bed logging is extremely dumb. First of all, the game has a very common glitch (25% of the time), where instead of sleeping, your character stands up on the bed and gets stuck in the ceiling and cannot get out. Endlessly bouncing on the bed glitch. HUD becomes unusable. The only solution is alt-F4, which makes you lose the ship and all cargo and progress. And secondly, bed logging itself can break and lose all your progress by not saving your ship. Don't do it. Your risk of losing everything every time you bed log is over 50%. Everything else you said is good.
You can speed up your looting if you hold left shift and click on the item you want to move over from the chest to the local inventory. This saves you the hassle of moving your mouse back and forth across the screen. Also, with the level 2 rep in Red Wind deliveries, you can unlock the illicit deliveries which take you on a tour of all the hidden drug labs around Crusader. Since these destinations don't have quantum travel markers, you are less likely to run into other players and still highly likely to find guns and ammo to loot.

Thank you for the guide man. Simple, well said, entertaining, and short. The recent update has helped so much with the general feel of the game. I have been playing alot with friends that where leery at first but so far its been rather fun,
Thank you so much for putting this together, very very helpful. I have one thing to add though. In the hand mining section you mention avoiding all the minerals except hadanite. While following along I ran into a mineral you didn't mention, janalite. So I picked it up and it turned out to be worth much much more than hadanite. 10 units netted me 176.7k aUEC. So as an addendum, when hand mining folks should pick up hadanite and janalite. If you do find some janalite you need to sell it at one of the main cities, seraphim, or Grim Hex though.
Just found your channel while hunting for new player guides (less than a year old). Due to constant updates (new iterations) and the internets inability to forget "out of date" information.
What is working well also is the Illegal Monitors Detected missions giving 20k. They are pretty fast to do and work well. You can have bugs or it's hard to find the last ones so sometimes you miss them. But overall, they are great to do. (don't forget call to arms too as there are pirates often too) The trick is to scan a lot and only concentrate on the monitors and ignore enemy ships as you can before the countdown ends.
Good advice. As for wasting starter money, I’d argue a P4-AR and a few clips is a worthy investment. You can easily make that back selling loot from one successful bunker mission. If you loot everything into the local inventory at lunar/planetary sites, all of it will be in your starting inventory after a wipe. Also Pembroke helmets can be sold for 6K aUec which is awesome.
