    Good review, Lauren.
    We have been owners of Infinity Qx4, Nissan Altimas, Nissan Pathfinder and now an Armada, so we are fans of the brand for better or worse. We got a 2019 used CPO Armada a month and a half ago.. My wife loves it. She is the kids soccer/volleyball/football team driver ;-)
    I like it too... However, if you don't need to tow - get a Nissan Pathfinder. Way better on gas, actually has more room and smart storage, seats the same number if people, just as many extras, but MOST importantly the Pathfinder drives like a car, where the Armada drives like a big truck. (a luxury, very fast truck) I drive to work, so the Pathfinders nimble steering and quick stopping is something the Armada does not have - its a completely different vehicle. The Armada is awesome in its own way. Basically instead of getting a Toyota Land Cruiser for $87K you can get a Nissan Armada fir $47K. This generation Armada is the Nissan Patrol in the rest of the world. Main customers are Middle East and Russia where its respected on par w/the Land Cruiser. There is a REASON for that - the terrain there is demanding with lots off driving on dirt/sand/mud/snow roads. In the US we see it as a family hauler for mostly on road driving. In reality the Nissan Armada pedigree is of an off-road military-grade machine. Case in point - The UN Peacekeepers use them a lot (a modified variant, of course)
    Back to why I think the PF is a better choice if you dont need to tow over 2,500 lbs or do serious off--roading. The PF V6 while not as awesome as the Armadas V8 is still very good and quite good on gas (both are award winning engines, btw). Due to the PF being unibody, it has excellent room and amenities. The 2nd row seats move back and forth A LOT thus opening a huge amount of space...the trunk is also HUGE... Our Pathfinder has been super reliable and while I like the ARMADA'S off road and towing I think that its mostly overkill for a daily family hauler...Different strokes, for different folks...
    Just my $0.02.

    I still rock CDs!! I'm looking at this or a newer Sequioa. Thank you for showcasing a lot of the features. A question I have is, is it wired for towing and have a tow hitch receiver??

    The screen on the Armada is an 8" screen and the one in the brand new expedition is an 8" screen so the screen size comments are misleading and wrong. The tech is much older though on the Armada.

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have good resale because those vehicles are in demand.

    • @johnhaslett6714
      @johnhaslett6714 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean why it has such a high depreciation? Sequoias don't have that high of a depreciation. I think the ford expedition has high depreciation as well. That's why people wait to buy them.

    • @randallsmith6617
      @randallsmith6617 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnhaslett6714 That was my mistake. I love the power and the ride and luxury, but the mpg is horrible.

      @@randallsmith6617 OH. OK. The third row is kind of small. We have a Nissan plant in Mississippi. They build titans in the Canton plant. I think the Altimas too. I guess a bench seat would solve the third row problem somewhat. It just looks very irregular and very impractical for full-sized SUV. I pass it off as the new pathfinder. But it just looks like it's more for show then utility. But I do believe it can probably go to most places.

    We just purchased a 2018 Nissan Armada SL and my wife loves it more than I do but I like the Nissan brand. What I have a problem with this SUV is no digital speed odometer display in this late model. Also no phone charger cradle to place your phone instead of holding it which is a safety issue. I think Chevy and other dealers got it right on add on. Be sides that it is a nice looking SUV. There is one other thing that bothers me a little which is this SUV doesn't hold the road well when hitting bumps or holes in the road as other SUV of its size. I rate it a B for an SUV but because she loves it and drives it most of the times then I like it for her!

      Could you keep your cell phone in one of the cup holders or buy a cell phone holder / cradle which can be plugged in to the charging outlet or a phone holder fits in to a cup holder-
      I always like analog speedometer --it is personal preference,

      Weather Tech makes a quality option but it is a smarter choice than holding your phone in your hand and potentially getting in an accident and getting a ticket.
