Maybe I can explain. Beautiful towel rack. The washer and the screw takes away from it's beauty. A couple of options would be 1) to fix a similar copper piece on on that end to match the copper end or 2) perhaps skip the screw and instead run the dowel through the extension or half way and glue it. Just suggestions. Still a nice looking rack.
