How about drilling the keyhole at a 45 degree angle? That should work in either orientation and let you use the same holder if you ever have to move it.
My design was quite similar, except.... I drilled a 1-1/4" hole in the sides for a 1" dowel. Then, band sawed up from the OD of the hole to the top of the sides at a slight angle inward. Worked great.
That noise from a passing vehicle should put the noise maker in jail for driving without a muffler. Annoyingly Unacceptable Behavior. However, your project is GREAT! I hope I can construct something that resembles yours! Thanks for taking the time to record!
Bro, good idea. easy and simple method.
Simple and effective. Well worth the time to make one.
A great job. The ease of execution is inspiring. I'll do one tomorrow. Thank you.

Yes. Because 2x4s are 2"x4" because of quality......yup.
Classic Hellcat whine!
That sound was a supercharged mustang !
Ford f150 with a 5.0 coyote and a Eaton supercharger
Could very well be. I haven't seen too many of those around here though. My guess is a Mustang. Lots of those around.
what size was the bigger hole?
I’d say it was a Charger or Challenger SRT-8.
Yep, there's a Challenger Hellcat that often goes by here. That supercharger whine says it all. 👍
Sounded like a WRX
