That is an awesome buggy Greg. I'm definitely getting myself one. After being really impressed with the original Typhon Grom brushed motor version, this is just next level. I'm 150% buying myself an Arrma Typhon Grom brushless. Great video and beautiful location too👌
Man, I had to get this car! I gave my old Typhon grom to a beginner the other week and now Arrma blesses us with this! 🙌 I already know Arrma is cookin up some Kraton groms and all the others 😁🔥
I'm pumped for this release! Already have it pre ordered. I really wish these could be available during the initial launch. It's such a bummer to now wait 3-4 weeks to get my hand on the trigger!
Like always, you have produced an incredible review video! Also, Arrma once again has given us an RC product that exceeds their performance claims unlike another popular brand out there. Arrma won me over with honesty!
I think these will be a little more fun. The Typhon does 55 mph out of the box with a 3S battery. I think the Mini Maxx will be tougher though, and it will have the ability to upgrade to some crazy 1/10 electronics. We'll definitely see! I hope Traxxas makes a Mini Maxx Slash.. the current 1/16 trucks are doo doo lol
I am gonna pass on the Typhon as I have the brushed version already but I am excited about the Mojave since I do not have one of those yet! Really nice with all the upgrades they have done to them both!
I have been into mini rcs for almost 20 years, there really has never been a perfect kit out of box that I know of, but this one seems to have all boxes checked for an rtr!! The nicest "mini" I have ever had was the Jammin CRT.5 pro.
@@magnusstone Good point! One mini I really want to check out is the team associated reflex 14b, I think that has the center diff. Looks cool.. Cost a lot to dabble into all these nice rc kits..
Wow, just wow ! Take my money that thing is wild. A little larger tires for easier flips and that thing would be a skatepark weapon. 53mph for something that small might as well be 100. Incredible 🤘👍
Great review, as always! 👌🙏 Looks like a fun, powerful rig! I understand the practicality and the 100% RTR thing, but I do wish Arrma, or any other brand, stopped including AAs with their cars. If one needs/wants them, their available everywhere, including the shop one's getting the car from. Besides, decent, rechargeable alternatives are now super inexpensive and use less natural resources in the long run.
Groms are awesome. I’m kinda happy that I got the granite and made it brushless. I was going to buy a Mojave after but they were back ordered. Now I’m just gunna get the Grom Mojave blx.
ARRMA knocked it out of the park with the new Grom, and I'm looking forward to seeing the Senton video. There's been a noticeable shift in the market to smaller platforms built off of well established larger scale siblings. Now if they would offer more kits to build from the ground up.
That's why I love typhons buggies wow super impressive 53 mph it's really 10 mph less then the 6s typh wow amazing man!!!! This will sell like hot cakes
They should really start releasing cars with brushed and brushless solution simultaneously. This way people can decide what to get instead of buying the product twice like I did now lol
Smart what arrma is doing they are compete against all the other smaller scale stuff like mjx rlaarlo deerc etc. These look way better then the wltoys buggys 😂
Same here. I bought the brushed Typhon AND Mojave just 4 weeks ago after being ignored when asking if I should hang on for any possibility of brushless models. And now they expect us to just buy these cars again after they have fixed the inadequacies of the original cars!
Keep that one for offroad and buy the new BLX if you can afford it, and keep it for on road. I have the brushed too, still fun but always wanted more speed.
I was wondering if the Bumpers for the Arrma Grom Monster truck or Mojave Dt GROM truck. Would THE Bumpers fit the TYPHON GROM buggy BLX i JUST GOT ONE.
I already ordered mine from the lhs. This is exactly what I've been wanting since I started breaking the first grom. I can't freaking wait. If they take note from losi and make a 1/24 scale, that would really fill out the collection 🏁 Thanks for the video
I was going to pull the trigger until I realized I have a fully upgraded lc racing emb-1 buggy with a sensored brushless system that's been sitting on the shelf for years.... I may pick up the Mojave though 😂!
Very cool, but SLT makes the ESC throw away for anyone with a good transmitter. For big hands the included is crap. Frustrating you can’t bind Spektrum DSMR transmitters. Big fail there. Happy about this for the hobby and Mini Maxx is awesome. I’m hoping to pickup the older Grom for less now!
The newest nightly builds of the multiprotocol module firmware work fine with SLT, so you could use any EdgeTX radio (probably the MT12 tbh, but I've been using my TX16S Mk2)
if ever there was a entry level class of vehicle into the world of competitive rc racing, the Grom BLX Mojave and Typhon might be it! Like if you agree. This needs to be a thing in 2025.
Glad they put the full metal diffs in there coz the ones on the brushed version are hot garbage. Love the extra upgrades like the steel CVD and the shocks too.

VERY well priced considering they come brushless and now with ALL the upgrades already installed👌
Wow, what a beauty. Take my money, Arrma!
That is an awesome buggy Greg. I'm definitely getting myself one. After being really impressed with the original Typhon Grom brushed motor version, this is just next level. I'm 150% buying myself an Arrma Typhon Grom brushless. Great video and beautiful location too👌
So sick! Thanks for doing this review. Can’t wait to watch your Mojave brushless video.
Can see why these are popular! Great spec!
Man, I had to get this car! I gave my old Typhon grom to a beginner the other week and now Arrma blesses us with this! 🙌
I already know Arrma is cookin up some Kraton groms and all the others 😁🔥
I already got my on pre order awesome video and stay safe
Wow this buggy is amazing ❤😊 great review 😊😊 Pete
I really wish Arrma would have put dual protocol technology in this receiver to pair with the spectrum DSMR transmitters.
Cant ask for the whole house for tue price they're asking!
It's just getting better and better:)
Nice does look like a sick rc...they definitely killed it with this ...
I'm pumped for this release! Already have it pre ordered. I really wish these could be available during the initial launch. It's such a bummer to now wait 3-4 weeks to get my hand on the trigger!
Its a scaled down year huh. Mini maxx, brushless groms. Markets looking fun. Think theyll do a grom big rock?
Yup. Imagine arrma comes out with a grom felony or vendetta blx 3s mouth is droooolin
Olá Amigo, mais um inscrito aqui do Brasil, esse carrinho é top demais.👏🇧🇷
This is long overdue. Great video. Ty!
Like always, you have produced an incredible review video! Also, Arrma once again has given us an RC product that exceeds their performance claims unlike another popular brand out there. Arrma won me over with honesty!
Man that thing is already fast with 2s
Cant imagine with 3s
Wanna see thsi grom go head to head with the mini maxx😂
Nice preview for this one. I’ve pre ordered this Typhon and the Mini Maxx, can’t wait to run them both and see which one is more fun.
Great unbox/review , detailed and informative 👍
Holy poop thats a great little rc! I am soooo glad i resisted buying the brushed and upgrading it! Great review and video as always!
I am gonna pass on the Typhon as I have the brushed version already but I am excited about the Mojave since I do not have one of those yet! Really nice with all the upgrades they have done to them both!
Mutha lord!!!! That thing looked like a meteorite!!!! Wow..I'm sold
We NEED a Grom Kraton!!!🔥
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
👍 throw on some bigger bashing wheels for air control, and there's the Kraton grom.
Nice !! 3s slammed with road wheels, it be fun & a worthy project .
It's nice to see the company quoting an actually achievable speed 👍
Holy molly Arrma is going hardcore with their mini models!
You convinced me to get this one over the brushed as my first RC.
Looking Forward to the Mojave Review 👍
I got the old version of this one for my first rc car and man it’s gone through everything I’m buying this new one for sure
arrma should make an outcast grom blx stunt truck
reminds me of the mini 8ight
I have been into mini rcs for almost 20 years, there really has never been a perfect kit out of box that I know of, but this one seems to have all boxes checked for an rtr!! The nicest "mini" I have ever had was the Jammin CRT.5 pro.
Unfortunately doesn't have a slipper or center diff just direct drive my only gripe really.
@@magnusstone Good point! One mini I really want to check out is the team associated reflex 14b, I think that has the center diff. Looks cool.. Cost a lot to dabble into all these nice rc kits..
Beautiful job on showing this baby off, Greg. Now I need one. So... thanks? I guess? ;)
Great cars. Cant wait to see both new ones in action. 2s with good parts is more than enough for this size.
Wow, just wow ! Take my money that thing is wild. A little larger tires for easier flips and that thing would be a skatepark weapon. 53mph for something that small might as well be 100. Incredible 🤘👍
Sick driving
When are they releasing the granite grom blx?
I really want a big rock grom. I’ll buy that if it comes out. If not, then probably this exact spec. Love the blue
Great review, as always! 👌🙏 Looks like a fun, powerful rig!

MOST INSANE LITTLE BUGGY
This one is amazing
Waiting on mine let’s go
Nice one. Amazing ! Where to buy a XT60 connector for using Gens Lipos?
Do you think these rc groms have the feature to change the punch level with the spektrum card.?
It’s a bang for your buck 🔥👍
So awesome! And to think all the money I spent converting 4 out of 5 of my other ones. LOL Still gonna have to get one of each.... or more.
Oh yeah!! Im getting the no battery version and putting that $40 for the Terminator wheels and calling it the Kraton Grom.
That's why I love typhons buggies wow super impressive 53 mph it's really 10 mph less then the 6s typh wow amazing man!!!! This will sell like hot cakes
That thing Fly's !
That’s great they made run on 3s that has me sold
The Mojave Brushless is going to be perfect. The Typhon Grom is super light.
That thing is nutz!! Stay away from curbs on this one💣💥🤬
2 Additional upgrades would have been awesome:
1) Sway Bar
2) Foam Tire Inserts
Definitely sway bars as an option part for racers! And a slipper clutch/center diff. It’s just a solid gear unfortunately
Okay, they actually did us right with this one. However I wish they had a 3s rtr. One thing I don’t like is the esc. I want to bind my dx5 pro
They should really start releasing cars with brushed and brushless solution simultaneously. This way people can decide what to get instead of buying the product twice like I did now lol
It's upgraded
What diff fluid weight do you recommend for general bashing (dirt, skate park, etc) for this blx?
Smart what arrma is doing they are compete against all the other smaller scale stuff like mjx rlaarlo deerc etc. These look way better then the wltoys buggys 😂
I absolutely love the look of these little guys. Would this be a reasonable choice if I wanted to get into 1/10 racing?
No this is like 1/16
@japyoo2248 yeah 1/18 actually. I ended up buying one anyways for fun. And it's a lot of fun lol.
Throw some Grom Mojave tires on that little rig I bet be cool
What 3s did you use? I don’t want to have to purchase a smart charger.
Get all the r1 upgrades for the b7!!!!
I just got a brushed one not happy
If they somehow find a way to make a truggy version, my goodness!😊
I was wondering if the Bumpers for the Arrma Grom Monster truck or Mojave Dt GROM truck. Would THE Bumpers fit the TYPHON GROM buggy BLX i JUST GOT ONE.
Now an outcast grom blx please!!!!
I'm a little salty as well since I got the brushed Mojave and typhon
What made u say it needs more oil in the difs?
What scale is it considered?
Do the tires comes with foams now?
Maybe put some rear bandit tires all around
How long does the battery last on these with 2s and 3s
Does it posse light
Another grom release, shoe size cars for 3s 1/10 scale prices is crazy.
What are you using to measure speed on the phone?
That thing boogies
What is that speed reader with an app?
ovonic makes a great 2200mah 3s that fits perfect in the typhon and mojave
Will a 5000 3s mh soft pack battery fit in there.
Is arrma going to release the electronics or no?
is this good for a beginner ? I like the size of it!
It is. It has a switch on the back of the radio to limit the throttle while you get used to driving it.
Wich handles better this or the Mojave.
Nice video. Can' t wait for the inevitable brushless Losi NASCAR. Then I'll pull the trigger.
Is DSC a newer version of AVC or different?
Different. DSC is just on the steering channel, AVC is steering and throttle.
@@fireman872 Got it. Thanks!
Can we get a grom infraction BLX
So what do you think, but the this or the Mini Maxx?
I own the Granite Grom. It's slow 20 MPH. Im debiting whether to put a 3S motor in it !?
I probably buy this 3S buggy.
53 mph is insane for a little car like that! Don't hit a curb at full rip! You'll be picking up pieces!
Buying the mojave the minute it's in stock. Someone is getting a brushed gift.
I already ordered mine from the lhs. This is exactly what I've been wanting since I started breaking the first grom. I can't freaking wait. If they take note from losi and make a 1/24 scale, that would really fill out the collection 🏁 Thanks for the video
The already make the Losi mini.
@@voodooreptiles3553 I'm thinking a Typhon 1/24. I would run that indoors non stop
Where the heck do i order one and parts from. Im in Canada arrma site wouldnt let me order neither would horizon hobby.
53 bone stock… insane!!
Dag nabbit... I just discovered the original one (and ordered it) yesterday...
I was going to pull the trigger until I realized I have a fully upgraded lc racing emb-1 buggy with a sensored brushless system that's been sitting on the shelf for years.... I may pick up the Mojave though 😂!

If you break the shocktower mount you gotta reaplace the whole chassis ! ONLY FLAW
Glad they put the full metal diffs in there coz the ones on the brushed version are hot garbage. Love the extra upgrades like the steel CVD and the shocks too.
