That's Awesome! From what I've found king val is legit! I'm getting ready to do a MOJAVE GROM now along with the Losi NASCAR. I'm looking at some cheaper systems I think will work well for the NASCAR. Definitely not bad for 38$😀
Great video!!! Kept me interested and excited to the end. You Two are making it!👍👍👍 amazing job, oh and the links are great, im glad the metal diffs are available 😀
Dude thank you for watching and the kind words!! Yes the diffs are finally in stock, it took a little bit but they finally are. It stinks though, the motor/esc combo is sold out now on Amazon. I'm hpeing they restock soon!👍
Awesome video man! That new intro is sweet! Nice mods, 47.6mph is mad for not even full throttle 😮 60mph will deffo be hit man!! You'll get it for sure
Your very welcome!! I really like the Grom platforms! They can take big power with the right upgrades and keep coming back asking for more. I can't wait for the Mojave Grom to arrive and I've been told it comes with the upgraded diffs!👍 We'll have to find out when it arrives.
So I've just stumbled on your video, the typhon grom was going to be my next purchase, and seeing a bolt in brushless motor and ESC combo for just over £40 (uk exchange rate) has well and trully sold it! Cheers buddy, great video.
Cheers from the US mate!! Welcome to REACTION RC and thank you so much for watching our video!! I really like the Arrma Grom platform, it's really tough and can take big power with the right upgrades and like you said a brushless combo that bolts in... SOLD! You won't regret getting one and come back here if you have any questions on it and I'll try my best to help you out!👍
I have an inexpensive esc/motor combo i want to put in my typhon grom. I ran into the issue you spoke on, with the pinion gear not fitting the motor. I need the next size up, do you have any recommendations on where to order one from? Any help is appreciated.
I get most of my pinions from eBay or pinion sets from Amazon, amain hobbies, horizon hobby or my local shop. Do you know the shaft size of your motor? Most important things are shaft size and mod. If your putting it with the factory spur gear you will want a .05 mod pinon and then whatever the shaft size is of your motor. Like if your shaft size is 3.175mm then order a .05 mod, 3.175mm shaft, 18 tooth pinion. Search that on Amazon or eBay and something should pop right up if it doesn't let me know and I will look up my orders for the shop names. Thank you for watching! 😊 Usually the next size up motor shaft from 2mm and 2.3mm is 3.175mm. You can always measure the motor shaft also to make sure.
I ground those front wire nubs down to the top chassis plate. Take them completely off, now you have a little bit of room to move the esc forward just a little. I also put I think 2 washers in all the hardware on the latch on the body and the back body notch. It was tight but it fits almost perfectly. If you still can't get it let me know and I'll try to help some more!👍 Basically you just gotta get rid of those wire holder nubs in the front so the esc can sit there.
@ I indeed removed those little nubs, but unfortunately it was not enough for the cover to close. 100% the washers will do the trick. Thank you very much for your response.
Do i have to get a seperate receiver to do this or can i just pull out the old system out and slap the new king val system in? Sorry if this is a dumb question 😅
There are no dumb questions here. If you want to use the king val system yes you would need a separate receiver and transmitter. The esc that comes in it is a two in one esc and receiver for a brushed system. So when you remove the esc you also remove the receiver. Now you can still keep the slt-2 transmitter if you get a compatible receiver and bind it. I think the spektrum sr315 receiver is compatible. Thank you for watching!
The video is almost done! We ended up having to move unexpectedly and it interrupted all my videos but we're getting things sorted out and about ready to get it started again! Thank you for watching and your support!!
@@ReactionRC I seen a guy on another TH-cam channel and he got 10mph on 2 teeth I tooth on your pinion is like 6 teeth on your spur gear bike riders know that when they get ready to race and you should know that also
It's just that most people aren't satisfied with 5 or 10mph they always want more to tell you the truth I'm happy with the speed stock gears the losi mini t and b needs some help I have one of those also
Most likely because it's a lower kv if I remember correctly. The higher kv is more for speed running I think that's why she was getting a little hot when I was bashing on 3s. High kv is ok if you have the amps to push it. That was only a 35 amp esc. I want to try a 45 or 60 amp paired with around a 5500 or 5000 kv motor. I think that would be the ticket with this little guy!!👍
Dude thank you Soo much for watching our video!! 😀 Ohhh no there out!! Man they had like 20 of them. I'm wondering if people saw the video and ordered them! Hmmm thank you for bringing this to my attention. Maybe I can make a post about a different combo instead that's just as good! They do have the hobbywing 2435-16bl30 combo but that's 65$.
No it has a 2mm shaft. But Losi makes a 2mm 18 tooth.05 mod pinion that will fit on it. Other than that it's a direct fit. Any 2435 motor with a 2.3 mm shaft should bolt right in. I made a post with the motor/esc combo I would buy since this one is sold out. I'm going to put the link in this video as soon as I can.
We get them for free at work...🤣 They work great for this because they are thin but still have rubber on so you don't mess your hands up. You don't wear gloves when working on your RC? Uline makes warehouse supplies, I'm a equipment operator. Thank you very much for watching our video! Welcome to REACTION RC!👊
Hi and thank you for your useful tip! :) After watching your video, I oredered one of theese set. Only I don't have the programming card and I don't understand from the instruction if I can use it with 2 s lipos, is the controller default set to save the lipos?
The king val esc I installed will run 2s lipo and 3s lipo. It automatically can tell if it's 2s or 3s. You don't have to do anything different to run 2s or 3s. I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask! Thank you for watching our video and welcome to REACTION RC!🤙
I actually built it out of card board and duct tape! I'm going to make a tutorial video, a lot of people have asked about that. Thank you so much for watching!
Oh yeah it definitely would work, I would maybe go a little lower kv if your mostly off road running because you saw it did get a little hot. But yes definitely!

@@ReactionRC you don’t need to explain anything to me, I just appreciate the content! Actually, this video prompted me to order the esc and motor you recommended. It still had good torque at lower speeds. You might have to put a 17 or 16 tooth pinion on instead of the stock 18 tooth but like you said it's only 40$. Dude I can't wait for the Mojave Grom to get here! I've never had a Mojave yet, any size and I'm really excited for it!
