This is a reboot meaning that Micheal Bay transformers movies aren't going to continue...him himself wanted to leave when he did transformers 3 but the company saw money and they told him to do 2 more...The success of Bumblebee also played into it if the movie was a success it would be a reboot if not they would've just said it's a prequel/Soft Reboot to Micheal Bay due to how close the story was and how it ended The reason these designs for the transformers look cartoonish is because they are inspired by the original transformers cartoon.. which a lot of people were happy they finally made it into live action

I loved this movie. I think it's my favorite one after the first live action movie. Also, I think you guys misread that scene of her family eating dinner 😂. They didn't leave her out. They had dinner likely prepared for her too, but she wanted to stay in the garage and work on the car instead. Also, it seemed like she was still trying to find reasons to avoid getting close to the step-dad because she didn't like that her mom moved on after her dad died.
So some interesting facts about the film, at the start of this in that opening sequence on Cybertron, you can see a few cameos, as well as Transformers you saw in previous films. Like how in the Autobot lineup you saw fighting there, in the background you can see "Ironhide", who here is red, who was the big black weapons specialist, who was killed by Sentinel, in Dark of the Moon in the Michael Bay films, you can also see Ratchet, who here has red and white colours, who was the green/yellow medic you saw previously in the Michael Bay films. Just also a cool thing seen in this film is how the war's portrayed, where here in this new reboot universe, the Autobots are more portrayed as a literal resistance far weaker than the Decepticons, who they're on the run from, like it gives you a stronger idea that the Autobots are outgunned and outnumbered. There's one line from this film I think is really cool, where towards the start when Bumblebee's fighting Blitzwing, that jet decepticon that followed him to Earth, when he first attacks Bee, you can hear Blitzwing say, "Now you'll die screaming, like your friends-" Which is just so dark when you think about it, and I really like that aspect lol. At one point, you saw Shatter and Dropkick track down that other red Autobot to a planet, who they sliced in half before following Bumlebee to Earth. So sorta funny fact about that Autobot in particular, who's name is Cliffjumper. Some people were sorta upset about the trend this film continues, where poor Cliffjumper just never seems capable of catching a break, and where he's often one of the first Autobots to get killed off lol (although in an interview, this film's director gave an interesting explanation as to why they chose to kill him off specifically, and it comes down to how he compares to Bee. In the sense that Bee and Cliffjumper are actually really similar, if not identical in size, most prominently also seen in the original 80s transformers cartoon, where the two almost have the same design and size except for the obvious colour differences, so they chose to have Shatter and Dropkick kill him here, to essentially show how much danger Bee's in with them around, with them being able to easily slice someone in half with the same body size as him) So I'm pretty sure there's a post credit scene at the end of this that you missed, and I do recommend going back for it. In it, you see Bee and Optimus reunited on Earth, and as they're walking through some woods at night, you see Optimus tell Bee as he puts a hand on his shoulder that thanks to him and protecting the Earth, the Autobots will now survive, but when Optimus calls him "B-127", Bee corrects him by splicing together different audio clips of him saying, "My name...is....Bumblebee", with the final audio clip of the word Bumblebee being from Charlie's voice. It then shows the two looking up at the night sky, while 7 new cybertronian pods containing Autobots are coming down through the atmosphere, obviously being the Autobots we saw at the start of the film, now arriving as well, now that Bee's made Earth safe for them. The next film, "Rise of the Beasts", is a sequel to this movie specifically, following the events and is set 7 years later with the Autobots hiding on Earth, I do recommend it, (and so now, following this film's events, it's no longer just Bumblebee or whatever, and you will see Bee and Optimus with the other Autobots that arrived) So I mentioned before, and so did other comments, that this film and the following sequels are a reboot, and they're connected to the past 5 transformers movies directed by Michael Bay, with this being as a result of the last Bay film, "The Last Knight", being a complete flop. However fun fact, this whole "reboot" part wasn't originally the plan. Bumblebee actually started production before The Last Knight released, and back then it would've been an official prequel to the Bay films. We even actually know quite a few details about what the alternate version of this film would've been like, like how Bee here would've used the hammer we saw him use in TLK, and we also would've seen more from the decepticon Barricade, the one from the past few Bay films who transformed into a cop car, who Bee had a rivalry of sorts with. But then obviously when TLK failed, the script was re-done to make it it's own new separate thing. Although there has been discussion of scenes that were still outright filmed and made that were meant for the Bayverse prequel version that we know about. Like for example, that opening scene set on Cybertron wasn't the original opening scene, originally it would've just immediately jumped to Bumblebee running away from the humans through the forest. The reason that was how it was was because, if you remember, in The Last Knight, Bee was shown to have fought against the Nazis in World War 2, but if the film shows Bee only first arriving in the 80s, that obviously doesn't make any sense. However, that original opening does make more sense with it, since it doesn't show him coming from Cybertron, and implies he's just always been there. You can actually look this scene up on youtube, since it was on the DVD, (I don't remember the exact name, but you can just look up Bumblebee deleted scenes) There's another certain interesting scene we know about from this version, that would've involved Megatron, to tie it even more into the Bay films. In it, in the original post credit scene, it would've shown Megatron, with a design more similar to his original 80s cartoon design like most of the other designs in this film, frozen in ice underneath the Hoover dam, like what we're shown in the 2007 film. However we haven't actually seen the scene itself yet, although we do know what Megatron's design for the scene would've looked like, after concept art got leaked, and his design for that now has an actual toy based off of it

2 more movies to go the 1986 animated and rise of the beast honestly should have started the whole journey with the 1986 animated movie so you would have known the background and all the characters also bumble bee was always a beetle in the original animated shows from the 80's
