Yall already forgot that In the first 2 x men movies Logan was told he lost his memories so him losing his memories here ain’t really a huge surprise and also why his girl isn’t mentioned but the Wolverine tag is basically the only he has left of her while not even remembering she gave him that name and he wears it because of her
So glad you liked this movie and didn't give into the general 'opinionated hatred'. (I like this movie a lot as well.) It's really nice to see somebody able to come up with his/her own opinion. One thing that you have to understand is that the whole superhero business is fiction and the writers can "do what they please" with the characters. However!!!! I do understand why people crave consistency and continguiousness. People actually like the smart-ass homicidal maniac Deadpool and wanted him to be the same in the movies -- got disappointed that he wasn't - and on that single fact decided to hate this movie. I'll be continuing with you coverage.
First thing: "Why does he look like he hates his brother?" Victor in his limited way LOVES both John Howlett Sr. and James. Why he (Victor) looks angry is because he's jealous of the James - John Sr. relationship. The comics make this relationship a lot plainer BUT makes the situation A LOT more complex. (Victor in the movies is actually a composite of two comic book characters) perhaps this will become 'clearer' as you progress into the movie.
Hey, Nico and KP! This is easily the most problematic of all the X-Men movies. That said, it depicts James Howlett's 19th-century origin in a comic accurate way, has a glorious opening historical montage, covers Barry Windsor-Smith's "Weapon X" adamantium infusion story, gives Gambit a cinematic showcase and features terrific performances by Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Lynn Collins and Danny Huston. Although the reason for his amnesia differs in the film from the comics, the Fox universe explanation is a satisfactory one. All in all, a mixed bag. I liked the incorporation of the real Three Mile Island nuclear meltdown as a cover story for the final battle. I agree with the nooblers that it is an entertaining and rewatchable diversion that provides some essential background despite lacking the usual allegorical social relevance. I also agree with the cognoscenti that it's sloppy, overblown, predictable, inaccurate and egregiously ill-conceived in its treatment of Deadpool. Victor Creed is Sabretooth from the first "X-Men". Not acknowledging their kinship in that movie is one of many continuity errors in this series. Other errors include a walking Xavier and a living Emma Frost but those discrepancies are explained by this being a different timeline than that of the young cast films. Ryan Reynolds made "Deadpool" in part to atone for this iteration of the character. X-MEN TIMELINES: Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP --> Origins ------------------------------------------------> X1 --> X2 --> X3 --> Wolverine -------> New Mutants ------------------> DOFP Utopia Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP ----------------> Apocalypse --> Dark Phoenix ------------------------------------------------> Deadpool --> Deadpool 2 -------------------> Logan Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> DOFP Dystopia It is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to NOT watch the films in release order!!!! This recommended order keeps the multiple timelines orderly and concludes the saga with two strong films rather than with two less well-received entries before segueing into the MCU. Woahhhh you're the first reactor i've ever heard say "this is the best one yet" 🤣 this movie def holds a special place in my heart when i was a kid it was my favorite xmen movie cuz it was easier to understand the plot as a kid compared to now, the first xmen trilogy is better than origins but the bad cgi and bad use of deadpool are the reasons this movie gets downplayed.
MORE X-MEN COMING SOON! patreon.com/MOONPOP

Wolverine vs Saber Tooth 🦷 was awesome 😎
I’m pretty sure the kid that was with Victor is his son the same from X-men 2 who was in Charles Xavier’s mind
If y’all doing First class it’s pretty good and it’s about the originals of the X-men

If Logan was 13 when he discovered his claws, that would put his birth date in 1832.
