It is cuz the new generation f150 are tuned better. I had a 2013 f150 5.0 and it sounded like shit, I did true duals with pipe, and if you did that to a new one it sounds 100 times better. first gen coyote isn't it.

I have K&N intake, ceramic headers, flow master outlaw exhaust and when I was running 285/65r18s I was getting 16 for normal driving and 20ish on the freeway with cruise control set at around 75ish... I now have 275/65r18s so not sure if there will be much difference in above numbers... That's running the mileage saver superchip tune
wow comparing the muffler delete between gen 1 and gen 2 coyote is a lot of difference, the 1st is throaty and in low frecuency, and the 3rd is more raw and rasp, both are different but nice. But im not gona lie, that nonsense loud straight piped gave me a smile in the drive by haha thats cool.

Cold starts arent to loud and wide open it sounds great. Was thinking of putting a electronic cut out in front of the resonator just to have some fun sometimes.

Why do 5.0L Coyotes always sound so bad? The 4.6L and 5.4L Tritons sounded orgasmic, but the 5.0s are the worst sounding V8s ever. And it was a modular designed to be in the middle of the 2. So it should sound half and half in between lol
Different firing order on the Coyote. Plus you can not true dual those engine without installing a crossover cause if you do that silver truck sound is the result

Ditched muffler on 2000 250, 2 2.5 pipes out the back, quiet idle good sound stepping on it.

I just bought a 16 5.0 with a 4” cat back exhaust (with muffler). Sounds great, deep tone. But it has a bad drone at 2k rpm.
Afe short headers, afe y pipe high flow cats, afe single pipe exit cat back. Drones 1500-2k

With a Flowmaster 40 honestly it makes it sound soooo much better, I have resonater delete with the 40 series and sounds so damn good
