BENGALURU, INDIA - Today we’re eating at some of the most legendary restaurants that you have to try when you’re in Bengaluru (Bangalore), India! From the crispiest dosa on earth to ragi mudde (finger millet balls) and the masala meat of your dreams!
➜ Kripal's channel: @FoodLoversTV It was so much fun to hang out with Kripal who is passionate about food in Karnataka and extremely knowledgeable!
Brahmins' Coffee Bar (maps.app.goo.gl/MXyLtSQguXx84...) - Bur first for breakfast, we’re starting at Brahmins' Coffee Bar, since 1965. They are famous for their coffee, tea, and especially their South Indian food breakfast staples; idli + vada, and coconut chutney.
Vidyarthi Bhavan (maps.app.goo.gl/765rR92cZZev3...) - Perhaps the most famous restaurant in Bengaluru, Vidyarthi Bhavans specializes in their own unique style dosa that’s cooked pancake style and fried in ghee until it’s unbelievable crispy. The waiters famously stack the dosas all the way up their arms before delivering them to your table. The masala dosa here is a must eat!
Gowdara Mudde Mane (maps.app.goo.gl/zxZRdHFifEV2g...) - If you love all things meat, eat at Gowdara Mudde Mane when you’re in Bangalore is a must. They make all sorts of meat dishes including green masala chops, the spiciest meatballs, mutton fry, shanks, everything is dedicated to meat! Along with the dishes you must try their ragi mudde, a traditional staple of South India made from finger millet made into a dough.
AraLimara Paanipuri (maps.app.goo.gl/bFcsPKT6CHtn1...) - One of the great parts of Indian street food culture is the afternoon chaat - a combination of small snacks usually in the afternoon that are tangy, sweet and spice. This legendary stall has been serving Indian classic chaats for decades. We tried their Dahi puri, Masala puri, Bhel puri, and Pani puri.
Namma Filter Coffee (maps.app.goo.gl/LELanmHgwPfYE...) - Next up on this Bangalore food tour we needed to digest with some South Indian filter coffee, and at Namma Filter Coffee, they do it best!
Thank you again to Kripal for taking us on this Indian food tour in Bengaluru!

As a meat eater from Scotland, Indian cuisine is by far my favourite, meaning even if it is vegan or vegetarian I will whole heartedly savour. I try many restaurants and try many dishes, ut never in my life will I experience the true, authentic, traditional cuisine. It makes me sad, as I can not medically travel, but the pure joy I have when watching folk experience the culture and tradition and food in the country of origin makes me so happy. And so my journey through Westernised Indian restaurants will continue until I find a fully authentic Indian restaurant to hopefully try all these incredibly delicious looking dishes! Thank you for taking us on this journey, and showing us the people behind it all.
Try and befriend an Indian residing in Scotland.Maybe that way, you'll get to taste a little more authentic Indian food.
@rahulkumbla491 I did have a friend in Glasgow who lived next to an Indian family, and they would regularly gift my friend food, they were so lovely! But even then, they themselves said it wasn't as authentic as it could be due to the lack of authentic ingredients being so hard to find or being prohibitively expensive. But that was the closest, and the most delicious! But thank you for the advice, that is a brilliant idea! And not just for Indian food, where I live we have a multitude of cultures. In fact, a couple of years ago, we had a festival celebrating an anniversary of diversity where I live in the outskirts of Edinburgh. There was Korean, Nigerian, Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, Filipino, Vietnamese, and so many other cultures, all home made by a wonderful group showcasing their heritage. I'm hoping they have it again this year, would be amazing to experience it all over again.
@@traceypotter7669 Hey .. it's nice to know you've been able to first hand try such varied cuisines, home prepared that too! Now that you've tried so many different cuisines from different countries, you know which nationalities to befriend ( ulterior motives..!). Jk ..! I hope you get to enjoy the food festival once again. Take care!
@rahulkumbla491 I plan on making friends where ever I can, because the knowledge and insight I can gain from all of them is incalculable! Thank you!
What do you desire to have? I can cook for you...although for a limited visit allowed by my visa.....I will come just the joy for you

I’m a Tibetan born and raised in Karnataka State. South Indian cuisine is so unique and their food preparation method is one of the cleanest yet tastiest in wholeIndia. I’m visiting Bangalore in few days after 5 years and you just got me so exited. Also we have few Tibetan refugee settlements in Karnataka too. I really wish you visit one too.

Kripal speaks so well & is so knowledgeable about S. Indian food. The combination of both these stalwarts of food is unmatched
did u watch his series from Mexico and Morocco?
I've paused the video 1 min and 10 seconds in, nearly 10 years of watching Mark and this south Indian personality is easily the most entertaining and smile brining person yet! radiates such food happiness :)
His name is Kripal and he has his own channel named food lovers TV. This is a must watch channel.
I'm Indian born in South Africa and have never tasted any of those awesome dishes before but would love to. The veda we make here is different and only once did i taste pani puri and loved it. My India brothers and sisters sure know how to cook amazing hearty and wholesome meals 😋👌
Great to hear that, thank you very much!
what i'd do to get my hands on south african samoosas and vada .... far, far superior to indian version,. Lots of indian foods in india have indulgent use of ghee, spices, cashew, etc. South african preparation lacks in those techniques. Alot of indian food is over done, like here he drowned out those pani puris with curd. they lack the disciplines of other asian countries or european in food prep .... too much over kill. A seafood feast in malaysia, surely better than indian version where prep is more unhealthy and prawns, fisgh, etc coated in heavy spices and batter ...
The cape Malay samosas best in the wold
Time for your homecoming to your ancestral land my friend ❤
THIS is going to be the BEST series of mark, with perfect partner Kripal
We are happy to have you mark and try our authentic Karnataka food thank u for ur presence in Bengaluru…with Bengaluru’s own TH-camr that’s a different enigma… thank u guys
Thank you for your support!
Ragi mudde has now gone global. It's a superfood and people need to know this.
It became famous nationally because of Shri Deve Gowda
Now some big food processing company must be thinking.. how do I sell it on supermarket stores in the west and sky rocket the price of raggi
@@johnthomas7907 they can create raggi noodles to replace maggi at the supermarkets
In our country India, we have 30 different cultures in 30 different states, for us Indians also this difference is so recognisable, I am a Bengali from Kolkata, West Bengal, but lives in Bengaluru for last 2 years, even I find this differentiation of culture and food so immense, but still abled to mix into it
@@rag12307Bangalore has a strong community of Bengali and Odiya people. I see atleast 8-10 OD vehicles ( Odisha registered) vehicles everyday when I commute to office. Electronic City, Whitefield, marathalli, Koramangala etc u name it

Who else could have been a better host than the legend Kripal Amanna sir himself. Great video 🙌🏻

Joel laughing @ Mark's classic 1st bite head gesture is pure gold @ 10:10.
Us long time fans know that Mark does the head gesture when he first bites something every time.We can hear audio & just know he's gonna do his signature move.Same w Joel,he wasn't even looking @ mark but knew the face that Mark makes when he takes that first bite.
He couldn't hold back his laugh.
Pure Gold.
Classic Mark.
The best thing I observed is each and every dish you have you complete it without wasting one grain which is greatful as there are lakhs of people who suffer for one time meal each day.All the best for more videos
I wish I could find an authentic Indian restaurant with such delish food in Italy.😋

I love his guide. He watches every move of Mark
He’s not a guide, he’s a really famous “foodie” from Bangalore. He’s been on TV channels a lot of times. In India we call people who love food “foodie”
He got same expression when you recommend something really good to your friend then wait for you friends reaction after they experience it.
India's food game is next level. The first few minutes of idli making is insane. Wow
Now I need that Milett dumpling in my life. Real Food and Real People ✔✔
Not exactly guide .. He is one of the renowed youtuber and food reviewer in india ✌️
Kripal knows his food and so proud of introducing it to Mark.
Gotta hand it to Mark, his production skill has improved so much over the years. A full professional travel/food channel now. Been watching for 12 years now.
The bald pretender has got a lot to learn from Mark Weins.
Thank you very much!
Fianlly some one from west getting to know what really is Indian food . Its not just butter chicken and those maida filled Nans. There is lot of explore. Thank you Mark, you are showing to world what real Indian food is. Good Job
He’s half Thai
Yes, you are correct! Like it is not Taj Mahal which is the only thing in India.
Ironically, he is from East. Mark is from Philippines
I love India so much, and her people. I've always wanted to live in Bengaluru. If I can find a teaching contract in Dance (Modern and Ballet), I would love to live there for a summer, or longer

Kripal and Marl Looking like Brothers.❤❤
Kripal,Mark
I watch an awful lot of Foodtube content and most of it involves chefs cooking at home and sharing recipes, tips and tricks. That's all well and good, but I have a soft spot in my heart for channels like Mark's, where he makes an entire brand out of stepping out of his comfort zone on a daily basis for our benefit, traveling around the world to strange places, finding interesting people and foods and trying new things, and all in impeccably produced videos with great picture, sound and editing. Even 10 million subs doesn't seem like nearly enough for this channel for all it does to promote world cuisines, peace, and understanding. Everyone ought to be enjoying these videos.
Watch food lovers tv. It's a TH-cam channel of a guy with fedora hosting Mark. You won't be disappointed. His name is Kripal.
Bangalore is such a vibe ! 100 % calm ., greenery top level .. food may not be great but we do have the best breakfast in the whole India. ! Thanks mark ❣️ for showcasing Bangalore Mangalore mysore to the world map ! This is true food journalism and new perspective to the west
Get rid of North Indians, Bangalore would be even more better
We can't disagree on that. 😂 I am from North India. But my favorite breakfast is Idli sambhar and medu vada Sambhar. I don't like coffee. I usually prefer Ginger Tulsi Tea. But filter Coffee is exception. These foods and coffee just elevates my mood in the morning. It's really comforting.
What do you mean "food may not be great"? Food is fantastic in Bengaluru.
What an amazing episode !!! Brahmins and Vidhyarti bhavan are my two favorites. Living in Atlanta .. missing my hometown after watching this video.
This series has been so amazing! Everyone is so knowledgeable ♥️

Dosa is not wrong. Just because they call in Dose in Karnataka, doesn't mean it's the same pronunciation everywhere.

Kripal is pride of Karnataka.... Mark is legendary.... What a treat this collab is.....❤
There have always been packed, family-run, decades old, cheap, tasty, and healthy food places all over Bangalore. Its a great city for food lovers.
Watching Mark religiously every week & being a Banglorean....'Mark trying Mudde (that black finger millet ball) is the moment'.
'Mudde' being so humble of a dish and tasteless which most people don't enjoy is probably the most ancient dish of South India. It has roots in our African decent and the making process is very similar to that of 'Fufu' , ' Ugali' etc.
Shout out to my African brothers watching this & thanks to Kripal for accurately represting Karnatakas culinary richness to rest of India and now the world.
The fact that we get free food videos on TH-cam by Sonny is truly a gift ... Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍
