    At 56 yrs old, I just purchased a cheap beginners set. This is a great video on putting. I will use these tips to learn to putt. Keeping it simple and not over explaining. Thank you. I subscribed to your channel. What’s the difference between a spin putt and push putt?

    • @lukasvyvial9686
      @lukasvyvial9686 ปีที่แล้ว

      Push putt is what ricky does. You are pulling the disc by shoulder from bottom of your body. Spin putt is when you use elbow by your primary power😊.

    Late to this... But I did just switch to Daggers! From the out of production Lat64 Spike. Complete opposite putter in every way.
    Love the float. Love how they just drop at the end of the flight. Going from super low profile to a beefy dagger w/ a bead? Not as big a deal as I thought.

    Really good from a physical education standpoint. Starts with footwork to fingers, gross motor to fine motor, 4 critical points that stand alone to look like a putt, and an emphasis on accuracy with a little focus on timing/mentality.
    The only thing I think is funny is that Ricky spins his hand off line, not really 'shake hands frozen at the basket'. I can putt either way, sometimes freezing helps me aim when I'm throwing my body into it and missing my arm plane, but when I'm feeling it I can spin my arm way outside and nail the chain link I'm looking at.

    Whenever I am at the discgolf place I practice nothing but putting and approaching. I don't care too much about my drives yet, but my goal is to make like 95 percent of my C1 putts. Sometimes I even putt 4 hours straight.
    Withing 7 Meters I make all of my putts now, from 8- 10 I make 80 percent perhaps. My farthes putt was 15 meters but that was still tough for me. .
    Putting videos are what inspire me a lot. Nothing is as satisfying that disc hitting the chains

    That might work on C1X. My long putts, because of my wrist, consistently miss. I even missed from 20' because of it. And on top of that, I'm playing in 15mph winds with 25 gusts on a High-level course.

  • @jupiter2089
    @jupiter2089 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Ricky, quick question, where when you say that you are aiming for a link in the center of the basket how high up are you aiming?
    I ask because recently I've played a couple tournaments in a row with baskets whose chains didn't catch putts. So, my putts that I was hitting dead center, with pace, were either pushing through the center of the basket or hitting the pole and bouncing straight back. However, your putt seems to hit dead center and just drop in. Is that just because of your nose angle on your putt? And, if so, what you suggest to someone playing with baskets that you can't trust? Should I change my putting style to drop in the cage, or keep aiming dead center but maybe change the nose angle of my putt? Thanks!

    All right, so I like spin putting or at least what I feel is spin putting, I'm still new. Though I'm a tad confused on the wrist movement that's talked about. Should I be turning my wrist inward and then "shaking hands" with the basket as I toss or keep the wrist straight and static the whole time? Any input from you guys would be awesome, thanks in advance!

    • @barrypeirson3710
      @barrypeirson3710 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would say keep it straight as possible the whole time. If you rely too much on cocking the wrist you will find that you miss right or left. Get spin with finger tips and how you hold the putter. If you follow Ricky's too where the power is generated with the legs you will find you will get to the basket without tons of spin.
