      Do you mind if I ask you a question? So, what the laws we know about there being other galaxies? Could she truly kill the force in its entirety? Cause , for example, yuuzhan vong had the force in there galaxie So my question is, would she have truly succeeded forever as my question Because eventually, is it possibly be a reawakening in the force again is basically what I'm asking 'cause. I think she'll be able to defend * Wars Galaxy as you know it, but to destroy the forests in its entirety that seems to be in chemist, the whole Star Wars universe. I don't know if she'll be able to do that. If I'm wrong please let me know. I'm just curious.

      Funny the council made Arron Kei (Keira/Darth Traya) responcible for the Fall of Revan but if they don't expelled her, the shadow wars (Kotor 2) would probably never happen (Sion would just live and Nihlus would just die after some time).

    I love Kreia for showing that there is no middle ground, no grey jedi. We knew this before from other pieces of SW media and even Revan (from kotor 2 stories) shows it in a way, but Kreia is one of the best examples. She was a jedi, got corrupted by the dark side and then tried to be somewhat in the middle, but unlike Jolee who became an apatheic coward- she was still active and tried to do something about it. What's interesting is that her methodology of dealing with the issue is a sith-like extreme. Lets kill the force by killing everyone attuned to it. So even when she's no longer a sith she still does things like a sith would, her love for the Exile which borders on obsession (I'd kill the galaxy to preserve you) is yet another wonderful example of her still thinking like a sith, it's something Darth Anakin would say to Padme.
    It's absolutely brilliant and I really want more Kreia. I wish someone more competent than me would write "Dating with Kreia" dialogue.
    Oh well, a blast from the past- drinking with Kreia, one of the favourite SW bits I wrote:
    - Why would You do such a thing? Waste an evening amongst the weak minded, drinking away their problems? Are You running away from Your past? Only a fool would fear what's already behind him and dead. You sit here doing nothing while the galaxy suffers, making a toast on it's burning body. Actions, good or bad, send echoes across the galaxy, bringing change, puting cogs of the future in motion. But apathy is death. There are no echoes from Your actions, only a mind numbing silence. That silence is a terrible thing, a void around You feasting on Your inaction.
    ....
    Pass me that Antakarian Fire Dancer, old lady got thirsty from all that talking.

    I think it was the "killing the force" part of story development that ultimately did in Kotor II and why we never saw a Kotor III. Amazing bit of storytelling but definitely something that would be poorly understood by upper managment.

      @@NDionneG005 I agree that Star Wars is targeted at kids and does not want to rise beyond that focus but in this case Kotor II had a really brilliant storyline that wasn't directed at kids and was somewhat shot down.
      However that being said Star Trek has more recently made that same drive as well then it once was.

    I remember playing this game for the first time and getting to the point where I could ask Kreia what she was. A jedi? A Sith?
    Kreia: "Does it matter? Of course it does, such titles allow you to break the galaxy into light and dark, categorize it."
    "Perhaps I am neither, and I hold both as what they are, pieces of a whole. Know that I am your teacher, and that is enough."
    *Continues to listen to her stories of light and dark followed by the cutscene on Malachor V, and later her hopes for the Exile.*
    I want to go home and rethink my life..

    Honestly, the best ending imo if Kreia did create a third wound by killing Surik, would have been for nothing to actually happened (I.e she was completley wrong and everything she did was just another Darkside/Sith tragedy). Her like Sion, Anakin, Ulic Qel-Droma, etc, etc, learning that they got nothing from the Darkside in the end would have been an amazing ending. I wish they were given a far longer time to develop the story as Kreia, following Revan's footsteps should have in the end also came to the same conclusion (as during the time of KOTOR, "he" decided to stay in the Lightside) that the Darkside was flawed. Throughout the whole story it's very hard to actually tell what she thinks and truly believe and what is just corrupted due to the Darkside as just like Palpatine, she is actually deformed when you meet her in Malachor (She was already twisted due to the Darkside).

    • @GlenDivo
      @GlenDivo 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I hear you but how then do you reconcile that with Meetra. Her very existence as one who can disconnect from the Force and still be, suggests that it should be an option. Is it really so dastardly that the will of the force should be capable of being denied? I am not sure that this idea is so corruptive. The Jedi teach that the will of the Force is good but is it? I think Kreia asks us to interrogate that. Yes, her teachings were often too much influenced by the dark-sided, particularly her views on manipulation and charity but I think in the end, we see (light sided) Meetra as the best parts of her teaching without the worst parts of it and it makes you wonder, how possible could it be for all persons to be able to freely connect and disconnect from the Force whenever they wish so that its will and their wills could be distinguished.

    • @elfather2045
      @elfather2045 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GlenDivo The will of the force is the will of nature, the force being in balance mean the natural order is not perverted by the dark side, that's why in the movies the empire is representitive of tecnology and sterility,basicaly the man imposing himself against nature, as opose to the jedi who live in the nature like Yoda in Dagobah, i think that's what actually represent the real conflict in star wars, not good vs evil as people usually says, but man against nature, so people do have free will in star wars that is the reason why many fall to the dark side, because they impose their selfish desires on the world around them and that is what creates the imbalance

Kreia did not seek the death of the Jedi order because she wanted prove that the teachings of the Jedi are wrong.

    Interesting. I don't remember anything in the game about Kreia having an actual plan to 'kill' the Force (deafen the galaxy, technically); maybe that's in some supporting media? It's been years since I last played the game, so I may be misremembering.
    Anyway, I've always interpreted Kreia as being on a journey of discovery. Before she finds the Exile, she doesn't understand what it is to turn away from the Force. During their time together, she studies the Exile intensely, trying to ascertain the great secret. That's why she's so disappointed on Dantooine; the truth (the Exile was afraid) is so mundane, so banal, that it infuriates her. She enacts her plan to eradicate the last Jedi and Sith almost as a temper tantrum.
    On Malachor, I don't believe that Kreia had any grand goals or ambitions. It was all a pretense to draw the Exile to confront her. All she wants is for the last of the Jedi and Sith to perish, for the old religions to die. She wants the Exile to pass on her 'truth', of independence from the Force, acting as an example. Kreia's legacy is the most dangerous of all: knowledge.
    The unspoken truth that Kreia never understood, that the Exile and Nihilus did, is that life without the Force is not life at all. The Exile had the unique perspective of understanding the Force's absence, granting her a certain wisdom. She is, in that sense, Revan's counterpart; where he is the "heart of the Force", the Exile is the "death of the Force". Combine those perspectives and you start to gain answers to, as Sidious calls it, "the great mystery".

    I find it funny because the "true" Sith of Kotor (being the Shadows of Babylon 5) they would never win but even if there defeated there is so much suffering that the win doesn't matter, this wouldn't work for Star Wars (if the game Kotor 3 would been made, it would been not even part of the EU).
    The Only Species i see is like them is the Esh-Ka of SWTOR, they see everyone else as Cancer who has to be killed, they also have a god who sleep in belsavis it will break free and you can't stop it.

    I like to think that Kreia did kill the force at Malacore, that her death sent an echo out that would take a millennia, but people would slowly lose their connection to the force. That is why Jedi/Sith of the movies are so weak in the force compared with KOTOR and the general population has no knowledge/feeling of the force.

    • @wahrerrosty5347
      @wahrerrosty5347 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That depends on what theory one goes by. If we go by the theory stated by Obi-Wan in episode 4, where the force is stated to be an energy field controlling the galaxy itself, then yes, only galactic destruction would destroy the force.
      However the theory of the living force being essentially the cosmic force's avatar seems to make a lot more sense within the expanded universe: Not only was there a celestial race, that disappeared from the universe, but also there existed a race outside of the galaxy knowns as the Yuuzhan Vong who were once force sensitive but became no longer, thus not having midichlorians (living force avatars) and separating them from the will of the cosmic force.
      The bigger problem with her plan is, that she would only remove the living force on a galactic level through an amplified exile. It is very likely, that the mysterious heirs of the ancient sith were somewhere out there, meaning if they ever returned, the galaxy would be completely helpless.

Ajunta Pall alludes quite heavily to the treasure of the Ancient Sith from his era to be the Star Forge, but I have yet to see this referenced anywhere else. I don't believe anyone other than the Rakatta, Revan, and Malak had anything to do with the Star Forge, or even had any knowledge whatsoever about its existence, and yet Pall seems to state otherwise and the Star Map is located within Naga Sadow's tomb, which couldn't have been a coincidence.

    What if ... and i admit this is ever weirder ...
    Some Rakatan technology got to their galaxy, but since it was using The Force as power source, and since they despited The Force so much ... they destroyed it ... but as time was marching on, that reason was forgotten, but the tradition of breaking machines remained, and naturally it expanded to all synthetic creations.

    It was in the Jedi archives, she just deleted it after she found it that's why no one knows about it. It happens a lot, it's just that the Jedi don't want you to know.

    Kreia just needs a pumpkin spice Latte and a cute kitten. She's a bitter post wall, she will be all right.

    Wait, that was the plan?! Where's the evidence for her wanting to kill Meetra on Malachor? I thought that was just a final test not her actually trying to kill you to fulfill the entire plan.

      For The Exile to prove she has learned everything she must abandon her teacher by rising above her. The Exile must destroy book she learned from and book will encourage her to do so. If The Exile wins by killing Kreia she has learned everything she needs. If The Exile dies she had not learned enough.

    Kreia is Star Wars' Iroh!

      I'd argue Jolee is more similar to Iroh, with Kreia being rather Zaheer, who similar to Kreia in Star Wars desired to destroy bending.
      I guess that would make Unalaq the Darth Nihilus of Avatar, in the sense that he sought out to find harmony, sacrificing thereby more and more to what is essentially avatar's darkside until eventually ending up fully becoming one with it.

    She was bluffing. She never intended to kill the Force, she was just using that lie as an extreme means to spurn the Jedi Exile into acting on their honest personal whims (no matter how sickeningly saccharine or morbidly unhinged), purging out the obsolete elements of both the Jedi and Sith at the time, bringing back the galaxy to a brutally necessary status quo that was temporarily broken by Revan's actions (and one that'll stay that way until Darth Bane showed up a few millennia later; we do not condone the so-called The Old Republic records), and also to finally finish Kreia's well spent tenure in the mortal coil by doing a suicide by cop (think the Zero Requiem).
    Suffice to say, that old hag is a magnificent manipulative witch, and it's a shame future generations ended up never remembering much of her and her ambiguous apprentice, apart from some cluttered up and somewhat unfinished historical records.
