- Picked up a Hobao SSTE truggy. This is the unboxing and first impressions video. Stay tuned for a lot more videos on the truck. Lots of upgrading parts coming.

Man. Shes a beaut! Hobao make some of the highest quality rtr on the market. If I recall correctly, they are made in Taiwan. All the best rc's come.out of that country. Tekno, team associates, traxxas exe. Cant wait to see it run 👊🤙
One thing that happened to me. I bend the chassis while the hobao was going really fast through a field. There was a small bumb, but because of the crazy speed the thing flew through the air for a while and landed on the rear end upside down. So it`s not something like the arma cars where you can jump around. It`s a racer.
Thanks for a nice unboxing, been looking at the SSTE for a while. Now after seeing this i really want one :) I guess the Hyper MT would be nice as well. btw those Hobao yellow tryggy wheels sure looks nice.

Not gonna lie, after I brought my hyper ss,I had to get the hyper truggy,omg outta the 40 rc's I have them two is definitely in the top 10 most reliable rc and great running 👍🏾
Nice to see Hobao gaining popularity again. Them tyres will be superb for what you mentioned, I have them on my hyper st pro (brushless converted) and used then on my Kronos this summer for some grass track racing. Just be carefull as they get ripped pretty easy by stones and such.
I agree on the shocks, they are smoooooth :)
I've had some issues with my centre diff and looking for a set of used Spyder diffs.

Almost bought this truggy. After more research I went with Serpent Cobra 811te RTR. Hobao makes great products though, I love their buggies

I bought the roller.. I put a 2200kv motor in it.. the truck hauls and is tough as nails......

I was really surprised when one of the CDN hobby stores I buy from had them in stock. $40 CDN a pair. I did see them on Ebay for a lot more so I was glad I was able to get them directly from a hobby shop.

I recently acquired a Hobao buggy at a steal. They’re not readily available and parts are gonna be online only, which is a shame because it’s a great buggy. My problem will be figuring out exactly which model I have. Where did you score those yellow wheels/tires? I’ll definitely be looking for more videos and hopefully I can learn a thing or two about this brand. 👍👍 Thanks man

cant beat hobbywing non branded elcteonics and a nice bonus of a programme card aswell but it trew me off as mine shows blue stickers as yellow is for a boat lol

A friend just got the kit to race offraod. 🏁 🏎 he has the rtr buggy that got him into racing. Hope this thing is durable enough! What you think? 🤔
Is there a good selection for aftermath bodies for it? Airbrushing custom bodies is a passion of mine and the only truggy I have at the moment is a Force RC Muckraker which doesn't have a big selection.
It’s funny you asked this because just last night I was looking on Proline’s truggy bodies. They don’t have one for the SSTE but they have them for losi 8Ight. I might pick one up just to see if I can make it work.
Do you have the part number for the springs?they are from the mt or the mt plus?
What are the differences between SSTE & SS? The SS is the buggy?
Bought this truggy a month ago. It`s awesome, but the rims are brittle.
Yeah I am not sure if I’ll ever run the stock rims. May e for quick rips up and down the street. But that’s about it.

It's an old rd logics stand for a lst2. Probably had ot for 10 years. They may still make stands though.

If you take a nitro rc car, convert it to electric by putting brushless outrunner motors on the hubs, direct drive to the wheels low kv. If you do this, i guarantee a vital video.
Has the inside of your six packs or hatchets ever got cracks inside the wheels. I got a couple that got cracks
I have ran the six packs all summer and fall and had zero issues.
What lipo battery are you going to use
That I am not too sure of. I sorta want to pick up a single SMC Graphene 5200 120C. I have few trucks that could use a single 6s pack. But I also need a few new 3s packs too.
What is the size of battery compartment?
I run 2 3s packs in mine
What brand are the Yellow wheels and tires?
Hobao. That's all I can tell you since that is all the is written on the tires.
Ok so the tires seem to be Hobao 86052 Tire, Triangular Pattern, 1/8th scale truck.

You have to have a minimum of 1 nitro
Very nice pick up. I did a build series on one of these too. Those stock diffs only have grease in them and the suspension need work. Check out my upgrade vud here
