Thank you for sharing! As someone in their 30s also with CP I really appreciated your tips. Especially don’t be afraid of your disability.
I grew up trying to “keep up” with the able-bodied world, and I was often burnt out and fatigued as a teen. And now that I am aging, the fatigue is increasing if I don’t do certain things like stretching or keeping my body healthy.
I spent so many years being afraid of my disability instead of seeking additional support, so I really resonated with that tip. 💚💜

Great points. There's definitely a balance between independence vs relying on help from others. One thing that's helped me, even as my daughter's caregiver, to receive help from others is realizing that we ALL need help from others, no matter our abilities or disabilities. Loved hearing your dad's perspective on all this as well! We seem to have a lot in common! :)

Hey Chris I have always loved your analysis that we all need help! And yes having my dad’s point of view is always helpful since I find that it makes the video more dynamic!

Love the 5 minute rule. Too many things lost when people can't wait 5 minutes. ❤
