    That new build house as nice as it is. Replaced a lovely house that was there called the dolphins . Helped rewire it for whites. Had lovely chats about cricket with Colonel white.

    Yes there is a nudist beach out there Ross!
    You have to use the ladder though to go down the beach and its a very stippy walk down Is not quite accessible though when there is a high tide so whoever wants to visit there to swim I recommend going when the tide is low 😊

    We used to go to Idlerocks in the 80's when I was too young to appreciate it!

    40 years ago, on holiday in Guernsey my wife, son and I walked down to marble bay, beautiful, getting back to the top nearly killed us all it's so steep 😊

    I was hoping you would get to the Pine Forest - all the years I lived there I never went along that path either. I have seen photos of Marble bay it looks great, very small. Thank you Ross. The Island still keeps it's mysteries.

    Great video Ross. The left path was down to Marble Bay, but you would not have probably had enough time to get down & back up. This is one of my favouite paths as the views from the benches is fantastastic. 😀 PS ... That house is really mine, but ssshhhh 🤫 it is a secret! 😂😂😂

    Not sure about that new house.... the first thing you see everyday when you wake up is Jersey! Would be nice if you could do a walk around Pleinmont Point headland sometime.

    Very nice one Ross! Thats where I grew up. Just been back 2 -3 weeks ago. Enjoyed it very much. That new house looks as if its being built out of wood (we looked at it too), unusual for the island. And the old L`Auberge looks dreadful, derelict. Shame. Same as the Idlerocks.

    Think that new build house might belong to Mr Hands but not 100% sure! Thanks for a great video ~ never been there either!

    I seem to remember a few years back, someone telling me that the nudist beach was Le Jaonnet ?????
    Possibly cos it's so hard to get to, that families don't go there .🤔

      Yep, it's Le Jaonnet. Never again though, after I went into a rockpool and had an encounter with a chancre.

    Hi Ross, how to get to Marble Bay. Park at the La Vallette bathing places, go on the coast path via Clarence Battery if the steps have been repaired. Keep on the path to Fermain, it's on the left before there.
    Marble Bay is stony and surrounded by rocks. Bottom bit only visible at low tide.
    Idlerocks burned down in 2002. Went for a meal there on its last night of trade. Why hasn't it been rebuilt?
    Thanks for your content as ever. We will be back!

      Ross was far closer to Marble Bay from where he was at the monument than if he had started at La Valette...

    Nice walk and I didn't know there was a nudist beach either, what's the tall chimney in the bushes ?

    • @livinginguernsey
      @livinginguernsey  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s actually a monument if you mean the one at the end of the video 👍

    • @BrianM0OAB
      @BrianM0OAB 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@livinginguernsey Yes at the end of the video, thought it was a square chimney, any idea what the monument commemorates ?
