Split the bed in half so you can get up on one side with plenty of room then pull or drop the other side to complete the bed. probably could setup a drop down ladder to help getting up.
I think this is perfect for you and many other people but it is not for me. I’m a retired senior citizen with flexibility problems. I am definitely not capable of climbing up into that bed. But I do think that it is an impressive project.
With the technical knowledge, skills, procurement, and time to create this, this would easily be in the 10s of thousands if commercialized and be completely “reasonable”
This is exactly what I was thinking! With the housing crisis we are facing.. I know of many people who are living in tents and on the streets. Family's included. I'm trying to find a way to help ..however being disabled and on a very minimum income it is very hard to survive myself , nevermind helping anyone else. I often have to choose food or hydro. It's an unfortunate state this country is in right now...all I can do is pray and stay positive. Thank you for this amazing little home and some great ideas! God bless
Not really. It's too small to accommodate the needs of full time living, and many, if not most, homeless people are disabled in ways that make this camper's features kinda useless. This is why actual homeless people need to be involved in designing tiny homes for the community.
@@ContentMadame These homes could be designed to accommodate whomever, it doesn't have to be this exact model. But this size or a little bigger would not take up a lot of space. I think as a homeless person, shelter would be preferred then sleeping out in the elements, on the ground, open to whatever. You are being narrow minded in your thinking.
@@tinamartz5958 No, I'm not. I AM A DISABLED HOMELESS PERSON, and I'm telling you that in my own and many others experience, THIS is not a sufficient long term solution to the problems of daily living faced by people like me. Long term solutions are what are needed, not an upgraded box with an unusable bed. This is for young, healthy people. Furthermore, I didn't say ANYTHING about tiny homes in general, just THIS ONE. Who's being narrow minded? There are lots of tiny home designs that would perfectly well accommodate the homeless, but we were talking about THIS ONE. THIS ONE IS NOT A SOLUTION.
A place to stay warm, sleep, cook and even use the toilet! I’m amazed. And actually I think this video might help some folks who have little money and space but need a roof over their head🥹❤
@raarnt Now imagine using a toilet or shower in bad weather, or just using it not somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but somewhere where there might be other people. There is also absolutely no space to store anything, including food and clothing. It's a better option than a tent or a cardboard box, but I wouldn't call it a house.
@@masa461 this trailer implies that a vehicle is involved. That makes for the storage space for other items. Get your food from the store every day or have a big ice chest for the food storage. Make some low profile racks for plates and silverware on the walls. Definitely needs a curtain for the bathing/toilet situation. I’m not sure what the insulation is like on this thing is but it looks slick. A decent tent with a nice furnace would still probably get you the same thing for cheaper but it definitely won’t look as nice
I would have devised a pull out and made the bench into the bed...I would never fit or be able to climb up to the bed. I would also make a table on the wall opposite wall of the bench that folds up and down...maybe part of the downstairs bed. Cool build! Amazing you got all that for $5000!
@@nullobject7966 I think if someone was homeless or living out of a little car, this would be a welcome extra space, especially with it having a toilet, aircon and sink etc. (the toilet you could use a pop up privacy tent if you didn’t want to bring it into the tiny house)
@@hwiley8141 I agree with both of you. Storage space is lacking and you would need a separate way of transporting everything else. I like people's suggestions on having a pop-out tent like structure to use for the shower area and put the toilet there for privacy.
once set up you could easily add a waterproof tarp around the shower and put the camode in the tent *poof* pop up bathroom, add one or two of those wooden floors for the shower and for the ladies a lil foldable vanity. in warm weather, i could live in it. Love it!!
You could always install a roped hanging ladder that comes down from ceiling or bed somehow to have access to the bed. Love how tiny and functional you made it!
Neat. You could probably add a flip-up shower curtain ring to the outside so people could even have privacy in the shower. I'm 6'3" and 220 lbs, so the bed doesn't look too accessible/usable to me, but I'm also not the one camping in it.
What if you make the drop-down bed bi-fold, with a roll-out mattress? Install some pop-out dowling sticks or hinged metal prongs on the wall beside of the door, so you can use them as footholds to stand on as you drop the sleeping platform and then flip down the extension - it will still fit nicely into the wooden brackets on either side. Roll out your mattress and Bob's your uncle. Heck, Bob could even sleep over if the bench was bi-fold, too - then this truly tiny home sleeps two!
Oh really? And where do you think they will get the money to pay for this? TAXES. and since 5k per person isn't in their budget and tens of thousands of people would need one, I would say you could expect probably a 500-800% tax increase to pay for this. Jesus. Do people even think before they write stuff?
@@The_Bad_Guy.Do you research before you write stuff? I did. There are approximately 650k homeless people in America, regardless of the reason that they're homeless. A house like this costs 5k. Simple math and the total cost would come to 3,25 billion USD. The US government spends 6 TRILLION dollars annually. I think they have the money for this. One billion is 0.1% of one trillion. So the government could spend a little over 0.05% of their budget to give EVERY homeless person in America housing. You really think that'd require a 500-800% tax increase?
You have done a phenomenal job there. I guess with some more support you should give these houses to homeless people. There are so many of them. Solar panel won't make them use any electricity as well. Seriously think about it please. Love from India ❤
This is actually the average house size in Europe But seriously, incredible build. You could even fill the spot in front of the seat with an inflatable and have 2 whole beds. It's wild how little we really need to live. Beautiful little home
A mobile home would be better. This is way too tiny to help homeless people snd there's no indoor toilet/shower. It's an interesting build, but it is more like a playhouse for kids.

I hope that you and your family make great memories with the worlds smallest tiny home! Your fan Leonard from North Carolina.
Super! I personally would have made a double layer plank of wood on the bench with hinges down the middle and unfold it to make a bed platform across the room. I would put maybe a small shelf across the wall opposite the bench on which the unfolded plank could rest for support. Also would need a double cushion. Place the cushions sde by side when ready to sleep. When done sleeping, you fold the wood platform back over to be a bench and stack the cushions. Bed is done. But that's just my idea. I like that little house. It would be fun for a camp out in the backyard.
The layout is similar to an extendable, motorized bike camper. Of course they weigh a lot less 😅 But I love your "all-inclusive" set-up with heater/ac, hot water and a toilet. It's great to see what's possible in such a small space!
Some sort of deployable privacy shroud would be neat for the shower. Maybe a flip down/up U-shaped shower curtain bar and a simple external low-profile stowage cabinet to hold it with the curtain.
Poop tent ☺️ awsome idea, this could help a lot of people, from homeless to people after certain disasters... Even me if my wife throws me out of house 😅
Oh yeah that makes sense. 5k per person since obviously only 1 person could live in this. I guess you don't mind your taxes being raised 500% to pay for that.

What is the difference between this and a mobile home?
I guessed perfectly, i said $5000! Great job Levi!
@@masa461yeah I don't think it counts as having a toilet or shower as part of the tiny house when they're outside 😂
@dubstepXpower why not? Lots of traditional houses have outdoor showers, and you can bring the toilet inside. It's the access to them that counts!
I would have devised a pull out and made the bench into the bed...I would never fit or be able to climb up to the bed. I would also make a table on the wall opposite wall of the bench that folds up and down...maybe part of the downstairs bed. Cool build! Amazing you got all that for $5000!
Outstanding work at any price, but that $5k build total really puts it over the top!
Al the units like heater, water pump, accu is really expensive
It has nothing to do with affordability, it doesn't solve anything except the creators goal to break a record.
@@nullobject7966 I think if someone was homeless or living out of a little car, this would be a welcome extra space, especially with it having a toilet, aircon and sink etc. (the toilet you could use a pop up privacy tent if you didn’t want to bring it into the tiny house)
Grinch at least hes doing something!@nullobject7966
@@elenalizabeth why not just live in a mobile home? There's more room, it is also on wheels, and has all basic amenities.
The bench could convert to a bed if you added a pullout slat system and used a back cushion that flipped down.
👍👍
Yep. I am too old for that be, but i would convert bench to bed and use bed area for storage.
@@hwiley8141 I agree with both of you. Storage space is lacking and you would need a separate way of transporting everything else. I like people's suggestions on having a pop-out tent like structure to use for the shower area and put the toilet there for privacy.
And if the bench was a bed. You could put the potty in at night for use.
once set up you could easily add a waterproof tarp around the shower and put the camode in the tent *poof* pop up bathroom, add one or two of those wooden floors for the shower and for the ladies a lil foldable vanity. in warm weather, i could live in it.
This is probably the best tiny house I’ve seen. The possibilities of the use of this are pretty endless. I’m going to watch the build video now.
The build video was very interesting. I see his building skills evolving!
4:18 If you made the bench top doublesided with a piano hinge it could fold out on to a cleat attached to the opposite wall for another bed.
True!
💯 Теж так подумала
That is a big land for such a small house 😂 0:20
He's saving the land for underground water recharge
More land to grow more food
What if you make the drop-down bed bi-fold, with a roll-out mattress? Install some pop-out dowling sticks or hinged metal prongs on the wall beside of the door, so you can use them as footholds to stand on as you drop the sleeping platform and then flip down the extension - it will still fit nicely into the wooden brackets on either side. Roll out your mattress and Bob's your uncle. Heck, Bob could even sleep over if the bench was bi-fold, too - then this truly tiny home sleeps two!
Genius! It's refreshing and reassuring that people like this exist in our world!
This is something that can be used for all the homeless people from the hurricanes and tornadoes victims
Pretty sure FEMA won't pay for this rig
The homeless people in the USA will probably end up in camps.
@@hellohej5525 our taxes would be raised to pay for this genius. They won't allocate that kind of money. Don't be ridiculous.
A few compromises in that small of a build, but my god for 5K that is incredibly impressive. Well done
One thing I would add is a wraparound curtain on the outside. It would be a cheap addition and would add privacy for both the toilet and shower!
Люблю, коли розумні люди мають ще й золоті руки. Браво! 💛💙
What a wonderful expression. Bravo indeed!
This is so clever!! Well done 👏
You have done a phenomenal job there. I guess with some more support you should give these houses to homeless people. There are so many of them. Solar panel won't make them use any electricity as well. Seriously think about it please. Love from India ❤
I’m actually impressed Levi great job
This is craaaazy! So well done man!
Heyy this is very useful in times of emergencies. Excellent job!
Video begins @3:25
Thanks 👋🏽☺️
This is actually the average house size in Europe
But seriously, incredible build. You could even fill the spot in front of the seat with an inflatable and have 2 whole beds. It's wild how little we really need to live. Beautiful little home
8:20 The narrow space to get into bed was accidental genius!!! If you can't fit through the gap, you're too big to sleep in the bed.
Great idea...for emergency..homeless..ect..well done...outstanding
A mobile home would be better. This is way too tiny to help homeless people snd there's no indoor toilet/shower. It's an interesting build, but it is more like a playhouse for kids.
@mygirldarby year ..I see your point and also the sleeping quarters would only good that we're able physically...but I thought along the lines as emergency shelter...and then upgrade to something you suggested..tiny house...by the way...love tiny houses...have a good one mate
Etc
Great for the backyard, and camping and for the homeless.
That's my childhood dream right there 😍👌👌👌
This could do allot for the homeless.
If no one tried to strip it down to just firewood or if the homeless didn't vandalized it as well
@@H37P5kY57If you change the material but kept the same basic plan it could work
Yeah, no. Communal living is the key to affordable living. Not a 5k uncomfortable box.
@@nullobject7966 True, larger prefab tiny homes set up in a neighborhood type of environment have already shown promise.
@@nullobject7966 Some people live in their cars so this could already be an upgrade.
Hey Levi,.I hope that you're having a great day! You have done an amazing job on building your worlds smallest tiny home!I would have to say buying the trailer and all the materials I would have to say you're looking at 6000.00 dollars to 7200.00 dollars. I like how you made it where every bit of space is functionable and there is no wasted space. Thank you for sharing and showing us your 19.46 square foot tiny house!
The second most anticipated video of 2024. Nice work!
Some sort of deployable privacy shroud would be neat for the shower. Maybe a flip down/up U-shaped shower curtain bar and a simple external low-profile stowage cabinet to hold it with the curtain.
genius to make the shower and toilet outside. all you need is a pop tent to keep yourself private
Poop tent ☺️ awsome idea, this could help a lot of people, from homeless to people after certain disasters... Even me if my wife throws me out of house 😅
I agree and I think quite a few viewers have made similar comments along with the bed situation which is not quite right and not the best design
Come on Donna, let it all hang out !
Dang, that really impressed me. How would one of those net beds work?? Brilliant, just Brilliant, Levi!
You built the greatest “fort” a growing boy could ask for. Good on you, Dad!
I really enjoy your vids.
I love tiny houses near nature, simple, elegant no matter how small are, they are awesome❤❤❤❤❤
These should be built to help solve the homelessness epidemic. Great job! 🔥🇨🇦
I thinks this maybe smaller than the bicycle RV by Tiny Tiny Homes
Canada has a homeless issue? I thought that was just an American thing.
Oh yeah that makes sense. 5k per person since obviously only 1 person could live in this. I guess you don't mind your taxes being raised 500% to pay for that.
@@GaryDelabate since Covid the number have skyrocketed. Victoria BC used to be a beautiful, safe city. Now it’s full of crackheads, mentally ill, homeless people with tents on the sidewalks. Disgusting.
If you get an outdoor shower curtain you can use that for the shower and bathroom when you set up on a trip for privacy and continued use throughout your stay. I think it’s pretty cool. I’m a very tiny person as well and getting up there wouldn’t be an issue for me but you should probably keep looking for other ideas on getting up to the bed. Otherwise very cool house 👏🏼👏🏼👍
Check out the guy in Canada who is trying for something temporary for the homeless. What he has designed is really great but he does not have some of the features you have and he’s at the same price or cost. His name is Ryan. He’s on a couple social media places and has a web sight………Tiny Tiny homes. Perhaps you could give him some advice so he can really get his production in gear. I hope so. He is really trying to do a good thing for the homeless, which is a big problem with not too many solutions. Thanks again you teeny tiny house is really great! Love it!
This is a fancy doll house for a little girl to teach her independence.
My 15 yr old granddaughter would love this
Congrats! 🎉I absolutely love it. Amazingly, you incorporated so many comfort features-that refrigerator is adorable, plus heat and air. And, your total cost blew me away. I can't get over it. It's genius!
They need these in some places in Asia too. Like right now! Better than shoeboxes in falling down buildings. Thank you. I love watching tiny home vids. It is fascinating to me✌🏼🌹🎄
This is so crazy. Levi’s mind is incredible!! Bravo! Love all the different woods!!
This is genius and highly creative! If I owned this, I would travel all over! Love it!!
These will be great memories for your kiddo. Keep up the great work!
They should build small houses for the homeless and offer them water and heating in exchange for their work in cleaning up the city's trash.
van life parents will try to fit 10 kids in there.
you look like john cena in the suburban dad kinda way

I love it I would say figure out which should be pretty easy how to put up like a shower curtain outside for privacy for shower and going to the bathroom.

OMG! This is an awesome build for $5k. Very clever placement for the toilet.
$5k of parts, no one's going to spend X amount of days to build it for free
This is incredible. With a little modification (longer or wider) so you could bring the toilet inside and add a ladder, I could see this as a great way to house the unhoused.
I just watched the video where you built this and I am super impressed! You really did put in the blood, sweat and tears into it. Seeing Weston help was wonderful. You really did an amazing job!! Keep the videos coming my friend!! God bless you and your family 😊

I love it!! Excellent job. I love the shower placement (no humidity inside to deal with). You've combined the best of what you've seen in your travels. I'm planning on a tiny space on land outside of town for weekend or just plain fun. Love the toilet idea too. You've given me confidence and inspiration to do it!! I think I'll use a pull out somehow on the main floor instead of the overhead bed. Also great for a guest house for the weekend. Bravo!!
OMG .. if I were a guest and someone offered me this I would be so offended! Lol
Perfect for a weekend! Your guest could have their own space to get away and have some private time. As someone who gets overwhelmed when I am staying somewhere and I can't get away from everyone for a minute I'd love if someone had this to offer me as a guest space!
